  1. My apologies! I keep forgetting how to spell it...hehehe! Glad you got the site now though. I went with the regular parasols..white or natural...see can't remember now lol
  2. Perhaps where you should start is by emailing Chandlyn and see what she says about the chair covers/sashes. Maybe she is willing to do it for nothing and maybe you could slip her a bit of a tip That is where I would start. Yes, it's your big day and it's important for you to have what you want the way you want it..but..if you are super stressed maybe this is one detail you can skip..is anyone going to really notice the chairs when the beautiful bride walks down the aisle? That's just me though..nice & easy..simple simple...less stress Let me know what you decide and I'll definetly be watching for your review when you return!
  3. HI I have 3 parasols (promised them to someone else though) and wanted to let you know where I got them from. I ordered them online from weddingfavors.ca They were around $8-10 and the shipping was quick & inexpensive. They are located in Ontario.
  4. At the ROR they use wooden chairs with arms. What about just doing a sash of some sort and not the actual cover? I say this only because you have alot of guests coming and yes it's nice to have covers but is it really worth the cost, labour etc?!?! OR You can always bring some flowers to put on the chairs..similar to putting them at the end of pews at a church?!?! Just some ideas! There were only 6 of us and sure I alot of stuff to bring but you would have TONS ;-)
  5. I had my wedding dinner @ Mammee Bay Steakhouse. I enjoyed the meal!! There were only 6 of us for dinner but our server (Andre) was very good to us! It is considered semi-private and our tables were set up in the back with an oceanview. They do serve the bride & groom their salads etc. and main course but your guests will have to get their own salads etc. as it is set up buffet style. All entrees are served to you. We didn't do our first dance here as there isn't really enough room to do so and no audio equipment. You could do your first dance after your ceremony (as they already have the speakers etc.) or if you have booked the disco for your reception you can do it there. We had our first dance after our ceremony where we also did our speeches. You can definetly do speeches at Mammee Bay before or after dinner. HTH!
  6. Hello Crazy Canadian Ladies...where the heck are ya? I actually get a few minutes to get online and no one is posting... I hope everyone has a great weekend! I will be working Amanda ~ Enjoy your bachelorette party! Shelley ~ Have a great birthday! Everyone else..if you have a drink this weekend..have one for me please?!?! HEHEHE
  7. I'm not clear as to whether or not they charge extra for such things. I know I gave some items to Chandlyn for the dinner table and she never said anything. Is there someone that could assist you with it? Maybe designate someone to help out? Perhaps Chandlyn would be willing to do it for nothing...good luck!

Did they play while you come down the isle and during and after the ceremony? We are getting married in a month! A little panicked! Sorry I can't help you out with this one..hopefully someone else can..I didn't use the Steel Drum Band they offer and when I was at the ROR I didn't see them playing at all..of the weddings I saw no one used them.

  10. There were only 6 of us and all of us were in the wedding. The girls took theirs off and I think my hubby forgot to take his off..but yes you can take them off and get another one from the front desk!

  12. I'm awake..recluctently! I had a good time last night at her concert..I will do my best to post some pics tonight..or at least by the weekend! I'm ticked at my sig pic! For some reason my pro pics won't upload to my signature. HELP!!
  13. Angela ~ As far as wanting Redstripe in your room..there is a guy who will restock your bar..we gave him $1 and he gave us an extra 6 beers..tip more you get more but the fridges are small ;-) Quote: Originally Posted by chicklet I am bringing stuff from the dollar store for the maids (our Jamaican buddy has told us what they like/need there) and maybe tipping them a bit ...I want redstripe in my room..*lol*!. For Chandlyn I was thinking of getting a gift set with perfume (Tan..your review gave me this idea) and tipping her. Bartenders I usually tip right off the bat (pool bar guys will probably get it first) and then again at the end of our stay. This usually ensures you get quick and friendly service . I think that will probably be it in the way of tipping except when i return home..I will definately be tipping my TA.
  14. You end up like me and live through those who are still planning. You also may go a little crazy like me and feel bored because you have nothing to plan lol

I am planning one dollar bills but I am also wondering about for Chandlyn and bartender, etc. A magnet from your fridge should be fine! Yes, munchies are necessary! As far as tipping, I brought a few things from the dollar store with me. So I gave $1 - $2 and then gave a little something from the dollar store. I tipped $15 to our server at our wedding dinner - he almost fell to the floor he was shocked - we would tip $1 here or there for the bartenders depending on how many drinks we ordered. We also tipped $5 to our favourite bartender who remembered our favourites drinks from the first day we got there. I didn't tip Chandlyn but gave her a gift and I didn't tip Michael...although I should have. I was working with a very limited budget lol so dollar bills it was lol
  16. Sorry in advance Angela.... YAY!! Someone older than me lol **SORRY** Happy Birthday Shelley! Just in case I don't get on Have a good one!!

We could meet somewhere in the middle (or I could just come to your work, since you are always there anyway!!). Oh my that's sad isn't it! That I'm always at work! Can you believe I get off at 5pm today...I had to beg to leave early so I could attend my daughter's first christmas concert..pathetic. Anyway...I know you are busy this weekend...and I work 11am to 7pm..so..let me see what I can do. We take a drive out to London every Sunday to bring the boys back to their mother..so maybe i can swing something there...let me think about it and we can talk ;-)
  18. Side note: Amanda ~ Do you still want to use my parasols? I am saying use for now because I'm not 100% sure I want to part with them completely yet. I have no worries of letting you use them. Let me know

  22. I didn't get a chance to read through your entire list but here are my suggestions: Magnets for the AC bracket on the balcony door - your ac will turn off when you open it unless you have a magnet on it - nothing too heavy either or else it will fall off. Air freshener - a plug in is handy sometimes the rooms get moist from the AC and start to smell a bit. iPod - if you have an ipod and are bringing it make sure you bring the a/c adapter cord to plug it in to the tv so you can listen. Also, if you use your ipod alot you can buy a charger to plug into the regular plug then use your cord/usb cord to charge it Snacks - chocolate bars at the ROR gift shop are $2 each YIKES! Money - if you are the one to tip $1 is all you need for bartenders, maids and you can't get change from front desk...dollar dollar bills y'all!! hehehe
  23. WOOHOO!! How exciting for you ladies!! I remember being there...oh the joy & fun! Enjoy it...times flies Are you serious Amanda? You don't know what a heffalump is?
