  5. Thanks for the heads up on this location, it looks beautiful! I actually just contacted them to get more information and heard back from Lisa the next day. She sent me a link with some more pictures, if anyone else is interested - MySpace - Rooftop Laguna Beach - 82 - Male - LAGUNA BEACH, California - myspace.com/rooftoplagunabeach It looks like they have several locations for a ceremony or a reception, all with fantastic views. Let me know if anyone wants to see pricing or further details, she actually sent me a lot of detailed information. Thanks again =)

  7. Congrats!! I was just in Cancun this past July 4, and I don't think we saw a single cloud the entire time we were there. You picked a great time to get married there. Welcome!!
  8. Jo, your website looks great so far, i love the starfish background!
  9. We are tentatively planning on October 2, 2010 in California. I really wanted to do 10/10/10 but it was asking too much of my family to travel for a Sunday wedding (I have a huge family, otherwise i would just go for it!! - i think that is the coolest date) Anyways, congrats to all you ladies and i look forward to planning with you over the next 12 months!!
  10. Ooh thanks, i will have to check that one out too! I am actually moving to Costa Mesa in a few months, so I am doing a semi-destination wedding (it will require travel for most of my guests, just not for us!). So San Diego is still do-able. I know, i have a feeling the prices are going to be steep at the Seven4One... Someone emailed me back to ask how many guests i was expecting, but hasn't replied with pricing yet. I'll let everyone know what i hear!
  11. Does anyone know anything about the new Seven4One boutique hotel in Laguna Beach? It looks really amazing on their website, and it's ranked #1 on Tripadvisor in Laguna Beach. It looks like there are only about 12 guestrooms in the entire hotel. I e-mailed them to request some information on wedding packages, I can post it here when I receive it, if anyone else is interested.
  12. I haven't ordered anything yet for myself, but I know some people on here have used magnetstreet.com - they have a lot of choices on their website.
  13. Wow i love those postcards!! I love the whole vintage-y look, i think that is so cool. Nice stamps too!!
  14. Welcome and congrats!! Jamaica is gorgeous, i'm sure you'll find a ton of helpful info on here.
  15. 8/9/10 is an awesome date! Congrats and welcome!!

  17. Welcome Laura! You won't believe how helpful this site is in planning, I've gotten so many great ideas from here.
  18. Thanks for all your advice. I do think i will take your recommendation, Jess, and instead take a picture to see if the jeweler can match the price and style. Thanks everyone!!
  19. I think both look great - but I do like the back on #1 better. You would look absolutely gorgeous in either though!!
  20. Thanks for the responses!! Yikes, I didn't even think about the damage/warranty issues involved with leaving the diamond with a jeweler. I will definitely need to do some hunting to find a reputable jeweler.
  21. Hi Ladies!! I have a question regarding re-setting an engagement ring... My boyfriend's mom gave us her engagement ring, which is beautiful, but it's yellow gold, and completely not my style. Sooo I want to take the diamond out and get it re-set, preferable in a pave-style white gold setting. I found one on Blue Nile that is PERFECT, so I think we are going to call them and try to order the setting only, then take it to a local jeweler to get it set. My question is - will the average jeweler even do this, if you aren't buying any of their products? And how much would they charge? Have any of you done something similar? Just curious how the process works, i am totally clueless. Thanks in advance for your help, this forum is so incredibly helpful!
