Times are tough for every one right now! And it doesn't seem as though there will be any relief any time soon. So besides that fact my fiance and I are attempting cutting cost in all and any ways for our wedding, we knew a lot of our guest would not be able to attend our wedding for financial reasons. But as time goes on I question if any one will be able to afford to come. Several of our close family and friends have experienced pay cuts or have been laid off. Due to their financial situation I kind of fell guilty for even suggesting they attend our wedding. While our wedding is a year away and it gives every one an ample amount of time to save, a lot of our friends and family don't even have the luxury of saving anything. I totally understand if no one can come and wouldn't hold any hard feelings but if no one come I would cut a lot of things out of our wedding. Im in the begining stages of my planning so I have invested much into the wedding yet but I don't want to fork out all this money for things that wouldn't be relevant if my fiance and I were the only ones there. For example I wouldn't have a reception or a DJ. Im sure I am not the only one to be facing this issue so if you ladies have any suggestions or would just like to rant with me please write away!

I totally agree that a monogram would be elegant and a great focal point/theme for an elegant wedding. I also think that orchids and bamboo are also elegant. I have seen a bunch of elegant weddings using the natural beach tones like browns, champagne, blues and greens. Good luck! I would love to hear and see what you decide on!

I really like them! How are they not fitting? I think they are great! I wouldn't give much more thought to what your FMIL thinks. I think the save the dates totally sets the mood for the wedding and gets people excited! I would go for the passport STD!

I like every one else think its crazy for the WC to expect you to wait until you show up for your wedding to hear the prices of everything! I would call the hotel directly like every one suggested. Your TA recommended the resort and said it was a great place to have a wedding, right? I would ask her if she has any info on prices. She may not have updated prices but it could give you an idea what to expct.

I am sorry to hear your MOH bailed on you! While I understand declining the MOH role due to circumstances like money and other obligations but she should have declined when you asked her not bail mid planning! That sucks. I would let her know that while its a nice gesture of her to continue to plan showers ect tell her her help wont be needed! And get a new MOH!

I am so sorry to hear you have had to deal with this mess! I hope your wedding goes well, despite this horrible owner. When the wedding is all over you must pursue this legal issue! Not just for your sake but for any other brides she has tried to screw over too because I am sure you are not the only one!

I don't think I will ever get sick of wedding pics!!!!! And I loved your slide show. You were beautiful! And the beach ceremony looked so inviting. My favorite pictures are of your husband getting down on the dance floor! One of the pictures looked like a clip from Saturday Night Fever! I loved it!
