Very cute site! Some things had me cracking up! Thanks for sharing.

Being as I am on a tight budget I decided that a used wedding gown was probably the best option for me. So I had browsed several used wedding gown sites that came highly recommended by some of the other brides on BDW and I found the dress of my dreams! The price was a couple hundred more than my budget could afford. I contacted the seller via email to see if she would be willing to lower the price and she was!!!! Yeah! The seller and I spoke for several days about the dress and when I would be able to send the money due to the holiday. Everything seemed to be going smoothly. Despite all my good fortune my fiance was sceptical. He told me this was all a sham and I was going to be sorry. Of course I brushed him off and said he had no idea what he was talking about. On Christmas I sent the seller the money via pay pal. The next day I recieved an email from the seller saying she received the payment and was sending the dress in the mail. And she gave me a tracking number. So here is where I start to freak out. I did not try to check the tracking number that same day I figured all seemed well but last night I did try to check it and it did not work!!! She said she mailed the dress on Friday and last night was Sunday so shouldn't it be in the system by now?! I emailed her last night to tell her the tracking number wasn't registering. I received an email from her saying that I should receive it in 4-10 days and that the lady from the post office said the tracking number may not be in their system right away. So the seller suggest I try the number again Monday, which is today. Well I have tried and still nothing!!! I emailed her back to let her know and I also asked for a number to reach her at. My fiance is freaking me out telling me I got scammed!!! Please tell me I am over reacting!!!!

Want to start "baby-trying" in March....

Luckily I refrained from barfing during the ceremony, but I felt nauseas a couple of times during the vows. Jessica you had me rolling on the floor laughing after reading about your bout of morning sickness the day of the wedding! Well at least you have a memory you can hopefully look back now and laugh at it. I had morning sickness too with my 5 year old. So I can see me excusing my self durning the ceremony to puke in my barf bucket! lol well at least it will just be my fiance and judge grossed out by my puking since me and the fiance are eloping! -
Want to start "baby-trying" in March....

Congrats on getting ready for baby making!!!! I am starting in March too! Maybe not the brightest thing to do since I am not getting married until April. But I don't mind giving up drinking at the wedding or on the honeymoon if that means having a baby! Any way I have a 5 year old now that I got pregnant with when I was on bc while taking antibiotics (I didn't know that the antibiotics would mess up the bc). So it wasn't a long process for me at all. I am crossing my fingers that it will be that easy this time too. Good luck!!!! -
Hey ladies! I just wanted to let every one know that yesterday I sent my request to Roberta for my flowers and this morning I found a reply from her in my inbox on my email! Not only did she confirm she received my request but she said she would be honored to do my flowers and gave me a quote. Wow talk about a FAST response! So of course I jumped on it and I should be receiving the contract and invoice in the mail shortly!

We are doing a cookie exchange at my office. We even have some of the guys in the office involved. We are doing around 5 cookies. We also have a couple rules like no chocolate chip and no store bought items. We are all so excited to be trying different types of cookies. And the only person who knows what kind of cookies every one is bringing is the girl running the exchange, that way it will be a surprise to all of us involved what cookies we will try. Good luck with your exchange!

Just the 2 of us?
kellywinter1 replied to tara5258's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
Here's a tip if you do choose Dreams or Excellence I found it was cheaper to do a 5 day stay in one of their lower catgories and pay for the wedding package versus staying 7 days in the catagory they stipulate to receive the free package. -

I say go for it!!!! After much deliberation me and my fiance have decided to do the same. We are looking into the Palace resorts because they offer the free package without any stipulations like Dreams, Excellence, ect. -

Flygirl great review! You looked great on your wedding day! Where did you get your dress?! -
Hey ladies! I am so impressed with all of you. Me and my fiance have recently decided to elope in April so I need to get my butt in gear! And all of you are totally inspiring. To help me stay on track I have decided to sign up for a 5K to be held the second weekend in December. I am not any where near ready yet but I am forcing myself to get serious now. I don't want to be the last to cross the finish line! Over all I am trying to loose 30lbs by April.
