I can't stress enough what a pleasure it was having Roberta create my weddign bouquet! She is so easy to work with and she does an amazing job! And I think the most comforting thing about her is she is dedicated to making sure the customer is a 100% satisfied with her product. When Roberta and I originally spoke we had discussed a light pink rose to use in my bouquet and when she was having trouble producing that certain color she was upfront with me and did all she could to make me happy. I ended up going with a deeper pink and I am so happy! I will post my flowers shortly so every one can see how beautiful a job Roberta does. I would recommend Roberta to any bride!

I have a couple more questions for you, Erin and Beth. First, Erin you had said you had your brother play the guitar for your ceremony so I assume he also played as you walked down the aisle? Beth did you have any music playing as you walked down the aisle? I read some where in their wedding info they allow you to play up to 4 songs during the ceremony. I was just wondering if any one took advantage of it and how it turned out? Second, Erin when did you schedule your hair and make-up appointment? Beth did you use the spa for your hair and make-up? I was told by Yazmin my wedding planner to contact Martha via email to make an appointment. So I emailed Martha and requested an appointment (with a person that speaks English per Erin's advice) and she still hasn't responded to me!? I have also forwarded the email to Yazmin to ask her for her help and she too hasn't gotten back to me. If they wont be able to give me an appointment I wanted to start looking for other options in the area soon. I don't know what to do? Thanks ladies for your help!!!!

I can't be bothered to try to upload them here (i have never managed to make them work properly!) - but you can go to my wedding website to take a look if it will help you out. You can tell some are really great shots and some are just mediocre... I got enough shots that i thought were really good that it was worth it to me. If you tell the photographer some ideas you would like to try, he is really willing to work with you. If not, you get the "stock" photos. (We liked the idea of the pool balls showing our wedding date. That was actually my husband's idea - and some turned out great, some not so much. Once he figured out what we were going for, they were better and not so out of focus...) We are fairly picky people about those kind of things and we were happy with our resort photog, but it's all about your preferences. Our site is: Wedding Website - Jon & Beth password: murraywed Go to the "Photo Album" page and the album you want is "Wedding - official". These are the ones from the resort photographer. You can also check out the resort photos - i think i took photos of EVERYTHING on the resort property!!! Hope this helps! Please feel free to PM me if you need anything else!! Beth what photo package did you purchase? I am trying to figure out what would work best for me. Its just me and my fiance. I don't want to get too many but at the same time I don't want only 35 photos. Do you know if the photographer takes more pictures than they print?

And you would never say it, but she is 11 weeks prego here!! I love that dress it sucks Le Chateau doesn't offer its collections for sale online. I live in Maryland so I don't think I'll be able to stop by the store any time soon. And WOW 11 weeks pregnant! I couldn't tell at all! She looks great!

My sister and a couple fo my friends have doen them before and it just didn't seem worth the hassel or the money. But my stylist recommended this brand to me if I was going to do something for the wedding. I am glad I took her word for it because they are great! It was exactly what I was looking for and they are relatively easy to put in. I am sure with some practice I will become even more comfortable with putting them in on my own. edssbride, You will not be disappointed! The waves are perfect! They aren't too big or tight they look exactly like the picture on the box! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do! -

The website she gave you was what I was really looking for when I asked her who the photographer is and if I could see samples of his work.

Calling all ladies who loath movie stars for their fabulous hair!!!! You can now have movie star hair and get it at a discounted price!!!! I recently stumbled upon HSN when I was searching for hair extensions for my wedding and found that they are selling Ken Pave's Jessica Simpson inspired "hair do's." For those who don't know "hair do's" are basically a single clip in hair extensions that is an instant hair do. I was a little sceptical of the product but I ordered it and I love it! The hair I purchased is synthetic, but they also offer real hair, and it blends in so well with my own hair that no one could really tell the difference between the two. I urge any one considering extensions for their big day whether its to add volume, length or to just complete a style to buy Ken Pave's "hair dos"! Like I said I purchased them from HSN who is offereing several styles, colors and lengths. I purchased mine for $87 versus the $110 every where else was selling them for. Plus I used this coupon code for new customers "New Customers 15% Off Coupon C56574" and with standard shipping only paid $82!!!! Here is the link to HSN for all those girls who aspire to have Jessica Simpson hair...... hairdo? by Ken Paves Beauty products and beauty supplies at HSN.com

It seems like many of us feel like fat pigs! I feel like one too! I just feel like I cant get in gear. I eat good but don't excersise then I'll exercise and not eat good. Grrrr I wanted to loose 30 pounds by my wedding day but I don't know if I will be able to make that goal. But I am going to keep trying and you should too. Don't be discouraged. We can do it!!!!

Welcome V! I think there is several factors involved in picking the day! The first usually is whether or not you are legally getting married at you destination and if there is certain requierments to get married such as how many days you must be at the resort prior to your marriage. Next I think the days you will be traveling also need to be taken into consideration. I know for us it was a significant price difference in airfair to travel on some days and not others. When we were planning on having guest we also took into consideration whether or not people would be staying a whole week or less and what would be the most affordable for everyone. But I wouldn't get too caught up in what day it is as long as all the legal requirements are met that is all that matters right! In the end we decide to elope and we are gettign married on a Thursday due to the legal requirement and when we will be arriving to the resort.

First off welcome to the forum, maisy! I totally understand how you feel. Me and my fiance never pictured ourselves having a traditional at home wedding so we like the rest of the gals on here decided for a destination wedding. We wanted to involved our friends and family as much as we could at first. But then due to the economy and many people's job status we decideded we weren't going to be able to have the destination wedding we were originally planning on. So we decided we were going to elope to the Riviera Maya. Eloping was a hard decision for us both to come to. We really wanted our parents there but both of our parents wouldn't be able to come. We wanted some of our close friends to attend but we couldn't have some and not others. But most of all I wanted my 5 year old to be able to attend. But it just wasn't possible. We decided that our wedding was about us and while we wanted to include every one we just couldn't and every one understands that including my daughter. So we are considering having an at home "reception" to celebrate our marriage. I don't know how old your children are but there are several resorts that offer activities for kids to do while their parents are doing other things. That may be an option for you? Again, I don't know how old your children are but I also don't think I would be comfortable sending my child off on a flight by themselves unless they are older. But if other couples/family members are attending I am sure they would be willing to assit the children on the flight back if they are leaving at the same time. I also don't think its a big deal that you don't have the big reception or wedding party at your wedding. I think you can create something just as special with just you and your future husband. Me and my fiance are having a ceremony and cake and are doing a dinner. We are still having traditional aspects that are important to us like the dress, cake, pictures, ect. But having a maid of honor and best main were not priorities for us. All in all this is your special day! There is no rule book saying you have to do this or that or have this person or that person at your wedding so you can do whatever you want! I think you will find many resorts that will be accomidating to you and your needs no matter what your size.

I really love the terrace but Yazmin told me that it was only for private events. And to hold a private dinner there for just me and my fiance was $800!!! So I guess I will have to give up on it for right now. Maybe if I ask again when we arrive and she sees how bad I want the ceremony there she will give in and work with me on it.

Erin/Rach, Is the Pandero that brown "gazebo" in Erin's pictures? Is that an option for the ceremony? I am getting married in April and I picked the sunset time which is 5 or 6 I think. I can't afford to hire an outside photographer so I am stuck with the resorts, which seems to do a nice job, but in all the gazebo pictures it seems dark no matter what time of day. So if I could have the ceremony at the open area I think the pictures would turn out better. What do you ladies suggest/think?
