That's great you had a chance to go and meet with the WC to go through everything! I am sure that has taken a lot of stress of you now that you have gotten so much done. And I bet it was nice to take a little vacation too! Your pictures were nice!

Daniella is/was my WC. I received an email from her at the end of April re my contract. I responded to her and asked her to get back to me but I have not heard from her since. But this seems to be the norm with WC at Dreams.

Thanks for the encouragement. When I say my communication with the WC is inconsistent I don't mean just in the time spand I hear from her. I have been told one thing and then the next time I hear from her I am told something else. I have sent the Q&A form twice and she tells me she has it and can start the contract and then several weeks, emails and phone calls later she doesn't have it and tells me to send it again. I totally understand about the whole waiting to plan the details thing but when it comes to the contract and the inconsistency there it makes me nervous. And I have read a bunch of forums of ladies who had their wedding there and they loved it, but I think I am just frustrated at the whole wedding situation and want to just start over. Plus the main reason we chose DC was to best accomidate our guest and the wedding we originally plan to have, now that it is just us I don't know if I want to go there any more.

I did consider still having our wedding there, but with the whole lack of consistant communication I was debating giving Dreams Cancun up. I totally understand the WC are really busy with the hundreds of emails they get and coordinating the weddings they have each day, but I don't really want to wait a month to hear from the WC. As you know it is stressful enough to plan a wedding but even more stressful when you are thousands of miles away from the person planning your wedding.

When my FI took me to Cinderella's castle and gave me the ring of my dreams I thought that it was the beginig to all my dreams coming true. In fact I was confident that our wedding would seem like a fairytale. Unfortunately it has been a nightmare! Planning our wedding has been horrible. Since we announced to our friends and family we had decided on a destination wedding we have gotten so much flack. In fact between our family and friend and the lack of assistance from the WC, the whole wedding thing just isn't what I want any more. It has been so stressful trying to make every one happy and attmpting to plan the wedding. It feels like the whole thing is for every one else now, not about my FI and me. So we are really wanting to elope. I still want my special wedding day with the whole dress and ceremony and cake thing, but I want it to be all about us. I think I want to dump everything I have started and pick a whole new place. So I NEED YOUR HELP!!!!! I want to go somewhere tropical to an all inclusive resort that has an amazing beach and lush gardens and updated luxurious rooms. I want to be able to relax but if I want to do an activity or excursion I can. I want to be able to have my wedding ceremony at the resort. I want something simple but something I will remember for the rest of my life. I would like to have private ceremony on the beach and then have a private candel light dinner and cake with my husband. Is that too much to ask? So if you know any place that would accomidate us please let me know!

Ugh! I feel your frustration. Since my fiance and I told our family and friends about us having a destination wedding we have gotten nothing but grief. People have complained about where we are going, how much its going to cost and on and on. I am upset because the people we want at the wedding most are the ones that complain the most and are unsure if they will attend. But all the people I didn't plan on inviting and heard about our plans from word of mouth are wanting to come.....

I LOVE the color choice. I couldn't limit my choices so I wanted to incorporate hot pink, orange, green and aqua blue. I really wanted something fun! The pink and orange will be the main color and the blue and green will be accent colors. I think the Tiffany blue is a classic and sophisticated color which is great to add in with fun colors.

Welcome to the forum! My suggestion to you to is get a Travel Agent and let her deal with your guest. This will make it much less stressful on you. Good luck planning!

Hi! I am a May 2009 bride. I am also trying to shed some pounds before the big day. I have battled with weight all my life so I know how hard it is to loose weight. So Congrats on your weight loss. I have dropped a size since I started really being serious about working out which was the begining of April. Keep in mind that loosing weight after you bought your dress can become an issue because alterations can get expensive. Last year I dropped 2 sizes after ordering a BM dress for my pal's wedding and the alterations would have cost more than the dress it self!!!! Thankfully the bridal store was able to give me a new one, although it was off the rack so it had been used for fittings. But good luck with your weight loss and Congrats!!!!
