So you'll be in Cancun? In PLaya, the Walmart was hellish. Nothing was where we thought it would be, no one could speak any English (not their fault obviously, but it made asking for things difficult), and they didn't carry lots of items we thought they'd have. Drinks and snacks should be easy though. Ours in Playa just had $ signs but they were all Pesos. That did trip us up a lot. Good luck! I'd get the collapsible cooler at home and bring it though. A

I didn't realize it could be mixed. TRUE!

I don't know if I'm always happy either or comfortable wearing mine... but at the same time, whenever it's off during the day I feel naked. Often, I find it bothers me at night, so I take it off halfway through the night. I just got married, so now I have to get used to 2 on my finger. And my fingers are short! Why don' tyou just try taking it off at night and that will give your finger a break as you get used ot it. Just make sure you have a little box that closes to put it in next to your bed. You don't want to start leaving it around everywhere! You might lose it!

I started my review, but it's nowhere near done. I thought I'd have tons of time too. Guess that's what we get for getting married so close to the holidays! I'm doing well. Busy and haven't had enoguh time alone with DH. That's my only beef. He was so cute the other night - he organized a post-wedding stagette for me with the girls. I'll post some pics soon. He felt bad that I hadn't had one. Other than that, we're on the baby making train and having a great time practicing

DH wanted to do this too and I was terrified. In the end we suit-shopped together, so I knew what it looked like. Just ask him about the colour and whether it goes with your stuff. OR ask him if he'll share with one of your BMs and ensure that another woman sees what it looks like together Not that all men aren't able to coordinate, but I'd want at least another pair of eyes on his stuff

I went all over town last night trying to find a basal body thermometer. Holy crap! Finally found one for $18. Still can't really tell what the difference is with my regular one, but whatever. I have only taken my temp for the past 3 days. It spiked on Saturday morning, but I went drinking on Friday night so that could be why. Today it was back to what it was on Thursday morning. I'm around the time where I should be ovulating or should have a few days ago, but since my temp is not elevated I don't know if it happened at all. It's frustrating. I think I'll have to wait another month so I can really get used to what my cycle looks like. I want to know now though!

He just kept saying I looked stunning and his eyes were all wet. It was cute but I didn't want him to start balling lol. I think I was the only one that didn't cry at the ceremony. It was just such a high, it is hard to explain until it happens. I am sure if I had to do the hand ceremony or if we had wrote our own vows it would be different but I made sure we didn't. I guess my point is that guys may act like they don't care about the wedding and that it is "our day" or whatever. But he may just surprise you and be the total opposite of what you expect. OMG I did the same thing! I couldn' t stop grinning, but I didn't get teary at all. FI was wiping his eyes, my mom was balling from the beginning. I do confess though that on Tuesday night, 2 days after we got back, I got emotional while doing laundry and thinkig of the song I walked down the aisle to. I think that song will provoke memories for the rest of my life

I just spent $350 on makeup! Holy $hit! I don't know how it happened. I went in for a makeup lesson and bought the whole damn place! I will say that the woman made all of the make up for me right there in the store. So, everything is made just for my skin. But still, my FI would kill me. Everyone I know would kill me if I told them. I can't believe I did that... Big time buyers remorse right now. When I went in to Murale and had the makeup lesson I spent $180 on the spot. Then I went to Shopper's to get brushes and the other less importantly perfect things (highlighter, etc.) but I think all that cost me another $80, so I was up to $260 easily for one day. It killed me because I never ever even wear much make up let alone buy it... YOu may be surprised. Your FI might understand. It's worth it for your peace of mind and the pics. And you'll get lots of use out of it in the end. Just relax

I'm having difficulty already taking the temperature. I'll definitely go out and get one of those BB thermometers today. My issue is the time. I often have to get up and pee in the middle of the night. And today I had to get up at 5 and I wasn't going to take my temp until 6:30, so I didn't have 3 hrs sleep before. Is that a big deal? Kat - that would be cool re: FF. I will get more into it and then we can PM and friend eachother

So is it just agonizing all month waiting to find out if you're preggo or not? I'm already thinking about it a lot. I don't know how early you can find out with tests, but I've read about 4 days before your Day 1 should start.. I have tests already bought in the cupboard. Do you take them often? Eegad I"m already a lunatic and it's only the first month... sigh. I was going to start taking my temp but I don'tknow if our thermometer is ok. It's just a standard digital. I think it goes to one decimal place. Is that ok? Or do I have to go get a special one? Andrea

Hi everyone Can I resurrect this thread? DH and I just got back from our DW and Mexico last week. It was all fabulous! We are now TTC. I went off BC in October (late October) and had my first period after in early December. I too had a terrible month and a bit and now I"m noticing that my skin is horrible... wondering if that's post-wedding stress catching up to me or if it's because I am no longer on the BCP. Anyway, not sure where I am in my cycle but if it's normal, I assume my best days are around Dec 15-19 or so (right now)... we stopped using protection the night of the wedding. After reading thorugh this thread, I decided to check out FF and the charting stuff. It all seems really complicated, but I've signed up for the daily emails. Hopefully I'll start understanding it all soon. I think I'll start taking my temperature tomorrow morning if I remember. Is it possible to just do that and not worry about the CM? How are you all doing? Tami? Calia? Hope you're all doing ok. I know that if I get AF in early Jan I will be sad and that's just one month. I can see already how it can be quite the emotional rollercoaster.

My voice cracked a bit, but I didn't tear up. my hubby actually teared up when he saw me coming down the aisle, but I didn't. I think it made me able to enjoy the experience more. I wasn't very nervous. It was definitely just as special though. Our civil ceremony text was sucky but the expeirence was more intense. This ceremony text was just gorgeous and more meaningful and we got the added bonus of making it public and dressing up. KWIM?

Ecofetti Toss Wording HELP!
kevsgirl replied to kevsgirl's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
I ended up going with: Let it snow! Shower the newlyweds with 'snow' as they come down the aisle. I thought it was cute I'll attach the template and put up a pic when I get one. We printed this up onto sticker paper and attached them to our glassine envelopes. snow.doc -

The last few days there was lots of surveying going on (and measuring, etc) all over the resort. So depressing. The place is just magical and it is going to be paved over.

Hi girls!!! DH and I just returned from Playa and the Shangri-La Caribe late last night at around 4am. I'm just going back to bed for a bit as I'm exhausted! But here are a few pics to get you started. The wedding was perfect and gorgeous and we're both super happy! Everything went well. I'll post a full review in the next week or so. Ceremony pics: I think my eyes are closed here... My dad was so stressed! My beautiful bridesmaids Our beautiful cake after the raccoon got into it... Impromptu first dance
