I know that I saw some at Michael's the other day that were like 9" or something and they were super narrow. 14" sounds good. And they look awesome

  3. So I posted a thread way back at the end of May (seems like forever ago) about how FI had gotten his sperm tested about 2 or 3 weeks before that. He had a vasectomy reversal about a year or two ago and had never had a test to see if it was successful. He was putting it off, because he was scared to see the results in case they weren't positive. So I didn't say anything for a while, but when I went to the doctor for a pre-pregnancy talk (what vitamins, going off pill, etc.) in May, FI decided he should really get tested. Only the results never came and he doesn't ever seem to remember to call up and follow up to see why we didn't get them in the mail. I'm so frustrated. I know it's a touchy subject for him, but it's touchy for me too. I can't stand not knowing for so long. That with the stupid invitations not coming for over amonth and I'm going nuts. So I mentioned him calling the doctor about 2 weeks ago. I mentioned it again a few days ago, but he didn't do it before he left for canoeing and he comes back tomorrow night (Thu) and we leave Fri morning for a road trip all weekend. I seriously have no more patience left. I miss him like crazy right now, but the not knowing if we can have kids has me losing it.

  5. It really is beautiful on you. Hooray for petite sizes!!! My dress (provided I still love it when I go to order it) is shorter in front, so I won't need hemming either. Woohoo! I want to see the veil!!
  6. So FI has been gone since Monday morning on a canoe trip and it's weird - I've been so damn lonely. I guess I didn't really bother to set up anything with friends, because I"ve been so tired and also had a stomach bug this week , but still... And tonight I started listening to old music and going through stuff and came across the photos I brought back from my Nana's house after she passed away. Needless to say, I've been sitting on the floor for an hour bawling. I miss her so much. I'm weak because of this stomach bug and not sleeping enough and didn't work enough today - I took off today, but supposedly "worked from home"... I didn't really do much more than a half day to be honest. I'm going to be paying for it at work tomorrow. Thank god I have Friday off. I feel like I'm so burned out I'm on the verge of a total meltdown. Then again, a good cry is always a good thing, right?
  7. How funny - I just was going to buy this on Monday from the site for my sisters, but I'm not sure about them delivering it to Canada and my aunt's out of town right now (she lives in Princeton)... blah blah blah. ANYWAY! I'm glad to hear that you love it and it's just as cute as in the picture. AND it's an amazing deal. So do you think it's too little/unassuming for your big day now?
  8. Bloody hell! That is totally crappy. Boo ... I hope it heals quickly - is there a possibility to move the engagement shoot to another weekend?
  9. Do you see them now, Abbie? Nothing has changed and they're on my screen...
  10. I really liked her website and her pics. We had a great email 'relationship' for the first month while we were ironing out details and then she just fell off the map in May Being a bride, I freaked out that she wasn't responding and promptly found someone else. I did love emailing with her. She seems to have a really positive energy about her and be fun. I just got really upset/worried when she dropped off the map. We were at the point where I was trying to get my deposit to her to hold the date and at that point, when everything else was done was when she didn't answer me for 3 weeks...maybe even a month. Now I've gone with Vanessa Vargas. Good luck!

  12. That is unbelievably horrific. It makes me want to cry that someone could be so hurtful and insane. It totally is the mark of a serial killer in the making too. So so sad I'm so glad your dog is ok.
  13. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Pics pics pics pics! WE want PICS! LOL!
  14. A suggestion from someone who has not done them and may not (I'm not even sure - haven't thought much about it, but they do look really great!): Bring some good music! Sexy music. Like some Norah Jones or something more tropical. Maybe make a playlist or burn a CD. I think that would really add to the comfort level and the fun. Good luck! Let us know how it goes!
  15. So this may seem weird but you know when you see something you really like and don't buy it and then can't find it ever again and get obsessed with it Weeeelll.... in November, we went to Merickville - a small cute little town about an hour away - and we went to this old wrought iron smith shop and I saw the cutest little flying pigs. I really wanted to get one, but thought that I could always come back. Fast forward to April - I actually make FI drive with me all the way out there to look for the pig and they dont have any left :crybaby: I never thought I'd see them again. Well, guess what I found last night when I dropped by Pier1 on a whim? Now that's one sexy pig!
  16. That is so cute!!! Cassondra - are those bichons? They are sooooo adorable!!! Quote: Originally Posted by Cassondra2009 The stamp is soo cute! Your guests will love them!
  17. Becks - what size are the bags? And do you find them the right size? And what are you putting in them? So many questions! I'm trying to get a sense for what size I'll need. I know that 9" is a bit small but 14" may be too big...
  18. Becks - those are some sexy OOT bags!!! I love them! They're totally professional looking. Way to go!

My dog doesn't really want anything to do with her dogs, and one of her dogs bit FI on the back of the leg a few weeks ago at our house! They just brushed it off as it being their breed and that they were "rescued" dogs that are still adjusting. FI and I went out to our friend's house this weekend past and camped in their back yard (they were doing renos before they move in this upcoming weekend). Every time I stepped into the back yard, these dogs would come out of hiding behind the bushes and run around me in circles barking and baring their teeth. We're just waiting for these dogs to escape and attack some kid. Our friend has no control over these dogs and anytime we try to talk to her about it, she either brushes it off or changes the topic. Sorry for the (sort of) hijack, what would you do if you were in my shoes? First off, I would ask that they not bring their dogs over to my house. It's your house and it's your dog's house and no one should bring other animals over unless it's totally ok. New dogs should always be introduced to one another in "neutral" territory. I would flat out say: "we love having you over, but you'll have to leave your dogs at home from now on, b/c "Fluffy" isn't comfortable with them." Second, I'd hope to hell that they leash up their crazy dogs. that's just totally unacceptable. If someone flippantly told me that I got bitten by their dog b/c the dog was a rescued dog, that's no excuse. If you can't control the dog, you shouldn't have it as a pet. I think I would call her on it and say it's serious. Third, never take your dog with you when visiting her. Your dog will be safer and more secure at home than with you at her place. It's not worth the risk. I got so mad the other day at this old man who was walking his little fluffball (very small dog) on the other side of the road, without a leash. Cubby and I were walking along and the minute the other dog saw us, the man said "Don't even think about it" well, of course the other dog ran across the street right in front of a taxi. I nearly had a heart attack. I gave him hell but he just shrugged and said "She's great and always listens, except if there's another dog around". Well are you doing walking around a neighbourhood for without a leash on your dog? YOu need to live int he country. Sorry, it's just a major pet peeve (LOL) for me (people who don't use leashes) because that's part of the reason we can never go for walks in the woods or parks I don't know if that really gives you much concrete stuff to go on. Honestly, I dont' think there's much you can do about her, but you can control what you do.
  20. I actually really like that dress - on you too! A little colour would be nice - not sure where though (I guess necklace or maybe the sash?) Very cute!
  21. Thanks! I think I might work from home tomorrow... I have a bit of a stomach bug and I'm feeling pathetic. LOL! I brought work home. It would be nice to hang at home.
  22. I just gasped when I saw the picture load! You look beautiful and your dress is stunning! You were made for eachother :cheer:
