Is it bad luck to tell anyone that youre pregnant....
kevsgirl replied to BarefootBride's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
That is just so sweet. I wouldn't have been able to wait either! THank goodness you have some fantastic happy news with all the crap going on about your TA and the fraud Hooray for babies! -
I've been thinking of going to MAC to have a makeup trial/lesson and getting makeup from them for the wedding, but that's only because I really don't use much makeup and don't know how to apply it. And I'd heard decent things about MAC. I browsed this forum and came across a thread by Martha about Laura Mercier makeup and Jenny piped in about Smashbox. Laura Mercier is sold through Holt Renfrew in Canada and although we have a store in Ottawa, that one doesn't have a salon, so I don't know if they do makeup or if I'd have to go to Toronto. Smashbox, I have no idea where it's sold. Anyway, anyone from the Ottawa-area or surrounding smaller-town Ontario on the board, please help! I'd say that I'd be going for a very soft, summery look. Nothing too dark or dramatic. TIA, Andrea

That's a beautiful style on you! I thought it was going to be so short, but it's actually kind of long, to me -

Then they started having drama in his guild. he'd be on the mic for hours calming people down that were fighting. it wasn't fun anymore. So him & his friends quit WOW. He switced to the old warcraft for a while. Yep. Similar situation - drama in the guilds. Really annoying. LOL! Never heard of Gears of war, but FI just said that one of his friends plays it. So maybe he'll try it... Quote: Originally Posted by Morgan Now he tries to find games that don't require so much from you. I'm sitting on the computer on BDW & making photo projects. The important part is when they realize what they're doing and how they're kind of getting zombi-ish and want to change, right? Same with us! Sometimes I have to just stop and turn off the computer. Like right now, FI is sick and has been for a while now. He should have been in bed 2 hrs ago he has a fever, but he's on his computer while I'm typing this, because he wants to be near me. I'll have to go play Sudokus in bed so he will sleep! That's too funny! I know exaclty what you mean though. FI has gone through times of being way less addicted and I always feel bad when I can't drag myself off the forums, because I can be just as bad in a way. As to artsy stuff though, I agree. I'd much rather produce something. I think that my current problem is having so many ideas of new things I want to teach myself (photo projects, Corel Paint Pro, etc. - stuff you do really well!) and accomplish (getting my jewellery up on Etsy and a new 'name') and all these things arejust too big for me to tackle, so I end up just surfing. Sorry girls. I think I just had a self-reflective moment

Cub used to (for years) eat Prescription Diet C/D dog food, because he had bladder crystals. We have tons left, unfortunately because when we took him to the vet last, he had some early stage gingevitis. Now he's eating Prescription Diet T/D which is similar, but apparently very good for their teeth. He absolutely loves the t/d food. Maybe even more than treats. And he's a grazer and a picky eater too. Good luck!

I have long dark hair, with lots of wave...so pinned up with a look of new and old (my dress has antique gold embroidery)... That sounds like it'll be just gorgeous. Have you received it yet? I just ordered one too! I'm in Ottawa, so I'm wondering how long it's going to take coming from the U.S. Sometimes stuff coming from the US is faster than from within Canada... I ordered this one and I'm SO excited to receive it !!!

Seems a bit of a distance to come from Texas You probably liked our summer weather - I hear although it's boiling for us, it's lots cooler for those coming from the south! p.s. did your strategy work? are the invites done?

I hate to admit it but I never miss an episode I actually DVR it and play it in slow motion looking for my house We are also famous for the infamous Amy Fisher who dated Joey Butafucco and shot his wife (not in Merrick) in the 90's. Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield met in the Merrick HS and started the best invention ever Ben & Jerry's. And last but not least Michael Kors grew up here as well actually my nutritionist and future father in law were great friends with him in HS. So that is a little about Merrick's history is it true that they both died of heart attacks because of eating so much ice cream? -

We live in a different state so they can't go do something real together & they aren't much for talking on the phone. So they talk over their headsets as the kill people. Morgan: what is the new game he's playing? FI is the same way, he used to play lots and then finally realized it was eating up all of his life/time/time with me. But once in a while he still pays for a month at a time and goes all out. He has a headset and his excuse is that it's time with his brother. Luckily, he has been having guys over lately to play some weird game in the basement... I think that's so much better. It's more like once a month and they actually get to see eachother and interact in the real world.

OMG - Congratulations!!! I can imagine it's a bit scary at first - especially because you thought it woudl take a while. But it's also probably pretty hard if you try for a long time (as I know many people do), so you're lucky in a way! This clip gives me goosebumps. It's so beautiful.

I just came home from work to a fabulous gift from Courtney (Agape Gems)!!! Being a jewellery-maker herself, Courtney knew how to choose the perfect strand of chalcedony in hot-pink (my favorite color!). I'll have to make something really fun with that strand. Thank you! She also sent a really nice card and a sweet little starfish necklace, to remind me of BDW every day! Thank you so much, Courtney!!!

And I thought a second before it's unveiling "Geeze this would have been a great way to announce a pregnancy", so I definitely need to come up with something even funnier for the real deal!

Just the other day when I was addressing our invitations, I texted one of my friends out in B.C. I know her live-in boyfriend's name is Corey, but not his last name. She starts saying "Hart" and then a bunch of other Corey __s who are famous. FI says: "Just address it 'Kris and Kris' B*('" LOL! I wrote & Guest. It annoyed me though. I mean, seriously. I wanted to get them out!!!

I knew she was upset that I asked her sister to be in my wedding (who backed out bc she didn't want her sister to be upset) but you don't delete someone off myspace unless it's serious lmao now i'm mad lol lol Ouch! That's rude! I don't know why people don't understand that we have closer relationships with some people, even if they are sisters and brothers of others... grrrr... You can only do what you can do. Your intentions are good. Don't get too upset about it all. Just write "and guest" and stick 'em in the mail.

YIPPEE!!! The verdict is... as FI says... he has "overachieving" sperm. He is in great condition (and so are his swimmers). LOL! The test showed that his surgery was successful and he's got something like 60% viable sperm. To celebrate, I made him a special cake. I brought it to his parents' place for dinner the other night. I had to start out by stating to everyone that I was not pregnant. (FMIL was disappointed. She wants me to have twins! LOL!) Check it out - it's angel food cake iced with whipped cream and then decorated with chocolate sperm and chromosomes. LOL!
