Our AHR was this weekend & I have to vent....
kevsgirl replied to Celina's topic in Just venting or funnies
OMG I cannot believe what jerks they are. They are beyond jerks. They are complete and utter evil f*&^tards. This is beyond anything I could ever even imagine. I would go completely postal on their butts. Seriously, it's kind of funny that they knew how to RSVP (most of our guests don't), but didn't stick to what they RSVP'd. And what kind of imbicile doesn't understand that a formal gathering with food = $$$ for the host? I want to just run all of them over right now. -
Simistar's Planning Thread
kevsgirl replied to Simistar's topic in Destination Wedding Planning Journal
Simistar - I can't believe how soon we are all getting!!! Your stuff looks gorgeous. I love your wedding colours and the bling on the diy stuff is nice Have a wonderful time!!! Can't wait to hear all about it. I'm sure you'll have a fabulous time and make a beautiful bride. -
I went and got my makeup done at the new store in Place D'Orleans - Murale It was funny - turns out I know one of the assistant managers there. We used to work together at Sassy Bead in the market. Anyway, she hooked me up with one of the makeup artists and he spent a while figuring out what to put on me and then applying and teaching me how to apply. $167 later, I have 2 cream eyeshadows by Bobbi Brown (that do not come off at all they are insanely waterproof), 1 Cargo foundation (that is incredible), a bronzer that I'm not totally sure about, and a nice lipgloss by Smashbox. I'm going to go back to Shopper's someday soon and get a few other things really cheaply: bone eyeshadow, a few brushes, transluscent powder, and new mascara. He did one eye with copper and blue I think and the other one with pink and purple. I hated the purple, so he replaced it with a nice grey. That's the eye I'm going with. Pink lid, grey eyeliner and bone highlighter. Looking at the pics that I took of myself afterward in the bathroom when it was darker out, I'm not so sure i like the look of the bronzer... I'll post pics tomorrow. Too tired to load them right now!

What are you walking down the Aisle to?
kevsgirl replied to reevesbride's topic in Wedding Music & Entertainment
You girls are the best!!! I think now that we're going to use Israel's Somewhere over the Rainbow for my DH and sisters and parents and then I'm going to walk to Book of Love. FI absolutely loves that song and I love it too. It's much better than In Your Eyes for my 'entrance' It is much more classic. THANK YOU! -
I have a word document and I've made the background of the document that has multiple text boxes covering it, coloured by an image. I'm wondering how do I get that image to be lighter or sort of semi-transparent. Basically I don't want to use up that much coloured ink! But I'd like there to be that image in the background still.

I hope I have a pregnancy like that when it's my time! I could not get my butt out of bed this morning, but I did go to the gym on the treadmill at lunch. I did day 2 of week5. It was 2 sets of 8 minute runs with 5 min walks in between. IMH the 5 min walks were a little long, but whatever. The next bit is a 20 min long run. Talk about not working up to that! I'm scared. LOL!

LOL! I'm over it now. I just want to have everything done and be on the beach relaxing! We should totally have an Ottawa get-together sometime though. That'd be awesome! How many of us are there anyway? -
Welcome to forum, Jessica!!! Get in on the Cabo action by checking out this part of the BDW forum: Cabo Forum - Best Destination Wedding Forum I'm getting married in Playa del Carmen on the East coast, so I'm not much help for Cabo, but I'm sure you'll find tons of information on this site. My mom, step-father and sister are all flying up to Mexico from Melbourne. I can't wait to see them. It's been over a year!

Yippee!!! Congrats, ladies!

I know your prob bummed bout not having a bach... me too ... we had a group pub crawl months ago, and when Jay had his bach night with the guys... and I was alone.... it felt crappy... Maybe Friday will work out. BTW, love the legal day pic... you loook sooo happy!! Thanks That's what it is: overload. It's crazy! It could be worse, at least I'm not an evil stress freak. LOL! I think packing will be calming too. Everything i finish makes me feel better. The bach being 'canceled' did bum me out. Not telling me that it wasn't happening totally pissed me off. Like my last family shower being canceled the morning of. What is with these people? I need new friends. LOL! Anyway, I'm glad FI had fun. They had a guys night in the basement. He didn't want to go out drinking and hitting the strip clubs. At any rate, there's always New Years, right?! Definitely drink in my honour! You rock! Quote: Originally Posted by montegobay09 Oh, as much as I feel for you cause I can't imagine being that close to my wedding date I'm also so jealous! Just try to let things happen. If you're worried about things that still need to be done or just finished making a list always helps me settle down. There are like a zillion lists in my house. I am the list queen! (or a list whore, if you prefer) I need one big master list at this point. And I need to lock down one of the rooms so that I can start really packing. Hey - I bought some space bags today at Zellers. Hopefully they'll help - take the air out of our clothes and create more space in our bags THANK YOU ALL! YOU ARE ALL SO REASSURING!!! -
Congratulations and welcome Jackie! Surprises like that are the best Check out the Cabo threads - they may help you narrow down your choices on resorts, etc.

This is seriously weird, but kind of creative. A guy decided to put English subtitles to an Indian pop video. But the subtitles aren't actually a translation. They're what the words sound like if they were English words. It killed me! YouTube - Tunak Tunak Tun, with English Lyrics!

As Kat said, "Holy balls!" my wedding is coming up so freaking soon!!! I'm having days of total calm and happiness and then periods of insane stress. I"m stress eating, I know that. And that's pissing me off because I seriously won't fit into my dress if I continue to eat the way I have been. Grrr My mom just called from Australia and chatted with me and then said the next time she spoke with me it would be face-to-face. OMG. I'm really excited, don't get me wrong. And I'm in love with a wonderful man and I know things will go really well even if it all gets screwed up, because we love eachother and we'll all be together in Mexico (and we're already legally married! shhhh!)... the stress it there nonetheless. Tonight was supposed to be my bachelorette, but I found out on Thursday that it was not happening. The girl who was organizing it told me it wasn't going to happen, she hadn't planned it and she wanted to do something next Friday. We leave Sunday morning. sigh. FI is hanging with the boys tonight (in the basement) playing poker and having a bachelor night. Boo.

Ok, I have another confession for today: I think that my gym has brainwashed me into wanting to buy the Core Rhythms exercise dvd. The infomercial is always playing on one of the tvs when I go in to run on the treadmill.

But I've been restraining myself because of that for 3 days now, so I think tomorrow is the day that I get back on the wagon... Hi Angela! :hello: I'm doing the same thing. I go every other day doing this learning to run program and I'm running really slowly because I don't want to give myself a reason to quit. We're sneaky aren't we? I finally went this morning and did week 5 of the running program. It was 3 sessions of 5 minute running with about 2 mins in between each. It wasn't too bad actually! I also did crunches and a lot of arm weights. I felt awesome after, but then I ended up stress eating throughout the day. Pringles, candy, chocolate bar, etc. Crappy! I think I may be too. Maybe I'll just call it my Thanksgiving

Thank you! :bighug: It's so nice to be able to finally help some of you girls out after I've gotten so many amazing ideas from the forum As to the photos... I just cropped pics I found on Facebook and in my own collection. I tried to get the most current ones. I'm still missing one of my mother and step-father and my sister's boyfriend. I asked them and neither responded. Guess what? I'm going to put old ones in. HA!

Beautiful! You both look great in those pics. I love the last one - it's so sweet and sincere. Great job, Tammy!

They're great! And that's with no photoshopping... damn! Doesn't hurt that you've got an awesome bod! I like the 1st one a lot for the look on your face and your eyes and then the 5th for the artistry. Wow - having teasers this good means the final product will really blow him away.
