  1. Does anyone know the official website for the Bavaro? I have tried googling it, but I come up with tripadvisor pages. I am also looking for the wedding package info if anyone can forward that to me. Thanks, brides!
  2. How did I not discover this thread before?! I restarted WW and I'm in my 3rd week. So far I've lost 7 lbs - I just hope I can keep it up. So psyched to see all of the support here!
  3. Thanks so much for posting the link - I came across it and then didn't get a chance to read it. As we all see from all of the bridezilla examples out there, many brides can be awfully demanding. I think that the more conscientious bride you are in terms of your party, obviously the better. I think that it benefits all brides to remind themselves that yes, it is your day, but there are other folks involved, and not to expect them to go above and beyond for you.
  4. Looks like you had so much fun! And your camera phone actually takes pretty good pictures!
  5. We have so far only figured out that we will be breaking the glass (FI is Jewish). Jumping the broom would be a great way to honor my heritage as well. Thanks - and thank you for posting the pictures.
  6. Don't have the answer to your question - but I'll add one of my own. Do most brides trash their actual wedding dress or do you have a separate dress for trashing?
  7. Great idea! Oh, and let me also mention that if you make a special honeymoon playlist on your ipod, you can buy portable ipod speakers like these: Foldable Portable Speaker for iPod/ MP3 Player : Audio & Video from Overstock.com I have the one posted above, and I bought one for FI. The sound quality is really good, and the price is $14.99. You can plug it in or use batteries.
  8. Well I hope that they still set it up. Send pics after your shower!
  9. I wonder how fragrant these centerpieces are? Citrus usually has a pretty aggressive smell. I personally love it, but some may not.
  10. Perfect! Isn't it funny how things work out sometimes?
  11. I have 5 holes in 1 ear and 4 in the other. In the interest of full disclosure, I haven't worn 1 pair of earrings in my ears since college, but I digress. I would wear 1 set of earrings - especially since they're chandelier earrings - they'll be stunning!
  12. Same sentiment - the folks who are throwing you a shower include your registry information in the shower invites.
  13. Looks great! I agree that it needs to be spaced out and add a little bit of room for bag construction. If any of your guests are like me, with the current configuration you would have one hot mess since I tend to knock everything over!

  15. I agree with the other posters - may not be such a great idea. The misdirection of the email to a SPAM folder would probably be my biggest issue.
  16. SgtPepperette - so glad that you posted this. This is my second wedding, FI's first. I had a total of 1 MOH and 4 bridesmaids for my first wedding. This time around, I don't want to have any (aside from the fact that I don't feel comfortable asking anyone to take on the role again). FI will have his brother. I may ask my brother to stand with me, but he won't have an official title.
  17. If you were only doing passed apps, then I would up the number, but since you are having a meal as well, I think 5 is a good number.
  18. Wow, those are totally cute! I wish there was a Michael's near me...
