If you want to lose some weight quickly and make sure that it stays off long enough for the wedding, I wouldn't do the wraps or the plastic bag sweating thing. These work only because they dehydrate you. As soon as you become hydrated again, you are back to where you started. It would be best to drink your water and eat smaller portions, and cut out salts and sugars while getting some good workouts in.

I agree with ending the friendship. She obviously feels the same way if she has already threatened to do so. I think that she just wanted to be acknowledged by having you ask her to be a bridesmaid, without really caring about the position itself. Unfortunatly, weddings are one of those things that can make you realize who your friends really are. Sorry for your stress, but don't worry about the backlash from others, as this is between the two of you! Get her out of the wedding!

I think it would be hard to sit back and do nothing, especially if you know that it is happening. I am sure that your mom will do the best she can, and even if it doesn't end up being what you would have done, seeing how happy your parents are about it will be worth it. I am sure that it was hard for them not being able to be there for the DW, so this is their way of being a part of your special day. I am sure that it will still look great, even if it isn't what you had imagined. You need to find a way to relax and get your mind off of it! I'm sure it will all work out great.

At first I thought you were talking about a diamond in your ring, then I couldn't figure out why you would want to lose that. Then I started think about kidney stones as well. A stone = 14 lbs. hmmm...I could go for that. I have almost lost a stone already, so I could definatley go for another one. Drink lots of water, and watch your portions. Get your workouts in too. As for changing your diet, do it in baby steps, otherwise you are more likely to fall back into old habits! Good luck and keep us posted.

I have been wondering about this too. Speeches usually coincide with supper. Then isn't it usually the first dance, wedding party dance, father/daughter dance. Throughout the dance then there is the cutting ot the cake, bouquet and garter tosses (if they are being done), then midnight supper. I think that it what I have penciled in!

We are probably doing a bag per couple but adding 2 of some stuff, so they don't have to share everything. Then for people that aren't travelling as a couple, they each get their own bags. Since we haven't got a finaly number yet, we bought a bunch of bags. If there are enough bags for each person to get them, we will probably do that.

I think the fans look great. I still haven't totally decided what I am going to with mine, but I guess we will see once we get them. I haven't even gotten that far yet!

I love the palm tree bag, but the stripes are nice too. I wouldn't worry about the colours not matching your or the stripes not being 'tropical'.

We are having an AHR with the dinner and dance. It will probably be just as if we got married here but without the ceremony only being a few hours before. I have a large family which a lot of them can't make it, and FI has a huge family which most of them won't make it. As everyone tells us they won't be able to come, they all ask if we are having a party when we come back. I also have a bunch of co-workers that would love to be there, but we can't close down the hospital so everyone can go to my DW. My Mom is awesome at making wedding cakes, but this time she is going to help ME make it. I am super excited. I haven't decided on whether I want a prof photog or not, but we will have the wedding DVD and slideshow.

I am jealous! I sooo totally want it. It sold out in like 6 mins in the city a couple hours away from where I live. How insane. My MOH just bought a wii so she could get the wii fit, but she hasn't gotten that game yet. I have dance revolution and the workout stage on there maakes me sweat, but I still want the wii fit.
