Just to let you all know, I won't be on tomorrow since I am heading to the city with my Mom. My Aunt is in the hospital there and is getting some tests done to see how the chemo treatments are doing. Since Mom and I are nurses, the family would like us to be there to find out what is happening and then relay it in understandable language for them. Keep you fingers crossed for her and good news please. Oh yeah, how could I forget. Not only does my Aunt have leukemia, but her youngest daughter just found out she has a blood clot in her leg from her groin down passed her knee. The Dr said that it is the biggest blood clot that he had ever seen!!! The first hospital she went to told her it wasn't a bloot clot and sent her home after an ultra sound. The second hospital found it. Like WTF!!!

OMG! Our town is in shock & no one wants to go outside!!!
EricaG replied to EricaG's topic in Just venting or funnies
I just got off the phone with my cousin's wife and she is parinoid to start with. This really has her freaked out. I thought it was behind their place, but it was across the street and just in the tree line behind the houses. She is really freaking now because she had her kids outside playing, just checking on them every 5 mins or so when this happened. Since they just built the house in the spring, they haven't built a fence yet either. She said the cops have been knocking on their doors all day and what seems like most of the town has driven by to check it out. Of course they live in what is currently a cul-de-sac but could eventually be turned into a through road, so the end where you turn around is not very easy to turn around in. You basically have to either use a driveway, or turn, stop, backup and then turn more to get turned around. -
That is awesome that you made that much $ at the garage sale, especially since it wasn't advertised.

I now have the bath bombs all packaged up, but now I would like to find a cute saying about bathbombs so everyone knows what they are & how to use them. After all, they aren't the typical round ball type bath bombs.

This is an article about the horriffic and brutal murder that happend in our town right by my cousins house. The town is in shock, and disbelief. This is not something that we would have expected to happen, and worst of all, it happened about 4:30 pm on a path commonly used by many. The two boys that witnessed it while on the path ran to call for help, but it was to late! What is this world coming too? I will not be going for walks with my kids alone anymore, as daytime is no longer safe. If I go for a walk, Larry will be with us, as I don't even trust these messed up individuals to stay away from 2 females walking with kids!!! I am totally freaking out. My daughter ran off to hide in front of the house when we got home, and I freaked on her to get back and stay in my sight! She of course got upset, but I started talking to her about going with anyone, whether they are strangers or someone she knows without me or Larry saying it is ok. She is only 3 and I don't think she really gets it, but I am not waiting until it is too late!!! Eventually she will get it. Small Alberta town reels with slaying of pastor's daughter Elise Stolte Canwest News Service Sunday, September 28, 2008 Edson, Alta. - Tears stained the hymn books Sunday at a Baptist church in this town 200 kilometres west of Edmonton as members of the congregation - if not the entire town - tried to come to terms with the murder of Pastor Terry Stauffer's 14-year-old daughter, Emily, the previous day. "Brothers in Christ, these are very deep waters," said parishioner Roy Ferguson, his voice shaking as he read from the Psalms, then led the group in prayer. The popular teenager was attacked and killed while on a trail in a wooded area just a few blocks away. The Stauffers came to Edson more than 10 years ago and many church members remember Emily as a child with pigtails. More recently, the tall, blond teen would have been at the front of the church singing with the worship team or playing the piano, said Brian Thebeau, who taught Emily in Sunday school. "She was a beautiful singer, an accomplished pianist. Just a real sweetheart," he said. "Probably everything you would think of for a pastor's daughter." Meanwhile, RCMP officers were scouring a square kilometre looking for a suspect described as a Caucasian man about 30 years old with brown hair, wearing blue jeans and a blue jacket. Two boys riding their bikes on the dirt trails were the first to spot the attack at about 4:45 p.m. on Saturday. They fled to a nearby house to call for help. A woman called 911 but it was too late, Emily was pronounced dead at the hospital. Authorities are waiting for an autopsy to determine the cause of death. North of Edson, the footpaths are winding and surrounded by dense bush. People use them for jogging or as the quickest way into town. "I go back there all the time," said Sarah Zarowny, 16. She heard about the attack Saturday evening when her grandmother called her, panicking, just to make sure she was safe. "It freaks me out," said Nicole Krebs, who lives and jogs in the area regularly. "How many times have we been there by ourselves?" Edson is a community of about 8,000. It still has a small-town feel but in recent years the oil and gas industry has brought many transients, residents say. Mayor Greg Pasychny said the town has a shadow population of about 2,000 people housed in hotels for oil and gas jobs. But most of the crime stemming from the boom in temporary residents has been theft from vehicles, he said. "This has definitely sent a shock wave through our community," he said. Emily left behind her parents, Terry and Juanita, as well as an older brother and two younger sisters. In a recently created profile on a Christian website, she described herself as "a follower of Christ, a goofball, and a bad listener - who tries." Edmonton Journal

Wow did I get stuff done last night and today. I printed off the programs, printed off the inserts for the luggage tags, and printed off all the rest of the pages for the welcome books except the "Meet the Guests" since I am waiting for some more pics of people. As for getting my nails done, I am the night before we leave. I am not sure about getting the tips yet, I guess we will see how my nails are looking then. Tara & Heather - That really sucks about your resort. I hope something gets worked out for you guys. Steph - I agree with what the other girls have already said. Let them know about the supper and that it is off the resort and the average cost of the meals.

So I got word today that Larry's brother and his FI aren't coming. I was basically expecting it. I guess his brother was spending all his $ like mad on the weekend, so his FI decided she wasn't going to fork over the $ for the trip. I don't blame her. We told him almost a year ago and he keeps blowing all his $ on everything else besides the trip and then takes a bunch of time off work and complains about being broke!!! Duh!!! I wonder why? I called Larry and told him, and he doesn't really care anymore. I am so glad that I didn't print off the programs and the welcome book pages lastnight. I was tempted to and had their names on there since I talked to her this weekend and she said they were going to book. But that was before he went on a huge spending spree. Maybe I will get that stuff all printed off today.

Ok, so I weighed myself this morning and I was up more than what I started at for BL3!!! WTF!!! I know that I totally slacked off, and I have been drinking pop again, so time to quit again and get this done right, since I get married right after we are finished. Morgan, WTG with the before pic. You know what, I am going to do that. I will get my Mom to take a pic of me tomorrow and then I will post it. Beware everyone, as it won't be pretty, especially since a bunch of the belly is stretched out extra skin from pregnancy! YUCK!!! Anyways, I will post the warning tomorrow before I get them up! LOL

Any Young and the Restless Fans? **updated with fan site info**
EricaG replied to BillysBride's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
I've seen bits and pieces of the show lately, but between work and everything else, I haven't been able to really sit down and watch it. I did see the new Billy briefly, but didn't realize who it was until after they showed him. -
So I finished the bath bombs, but then I also remembered that I have to do the luggage tags, since I decided to redo them. I might finish the soaps tomorrow, but it depends if I can find them. Couldn't find them at Mom's today, so maybe I brought them home. Guess I will check in the AM.

Are you serious? Her is gay?!?!?! I never would have thought! LMFAO!!! There of course was the speculation, and then whenever he was asked, rather than admitting it or lying about it, he just refused to answer. Hmmmm.....I think that basically confirmed that the speculation was correct.

My to do list: -finish the bath bombs -finish the soaps -finalize the programs (once we find out if Larry's brother is coming or not) -buy the hand sanitizer for the OOT bags -finish the welcome books (need to have final guest list) -Test pack I am actually going to start packing the kids suitcase today. I have it on the couch right now and I am going to put all the stuff I can in there now, so I don't have to put summer clothes away and then get them out to pack. I just got a new case of diapers too, so I am going to pack part of that so I know how much room is left after the diapers go in.

Tara - I can't believe that it cost $200 to get another passport. That is insane. Since you had to spend that $, I hope that you don't suddenly find the other passport. Maybe you could find it later on down the road and after the wedding. Celina - With all the invites that I made for everyone, I used all the same measurements and papers and everything, and I was told that it was whatever the regular letter rate is. I sent them all off and then one came back and required more postage. I was not impressed, so obviously it isn't just the US postal service. Amy - I am glad to hear that you had a great weekend. It almost makes me want to go there for a weekend, but that is a long trip for me! Danielle - I still have a couple projects on the go that I have to finish, and even though I have every intention, I have been aboe to start finishing them. I was working the past 5 days, so maybe now I can buckle down and get them done. Yeah, my cousin and her hubby booked yesterday!!! She was originally going to be inthe wedding party, but then they had to pull out before they booked. Now they have booked and even though Scott wanted to bring their 2 girls, Bobbie won the battle to leave them behind. She isn't going to be in the wedding party now, but she will be there as a guest. I am sooooo excited. She is actually my oldest cousins daughter, but there is only 19 months between us, and growing up we were always really close. While I was going to school, I actually lived with them for about 2 years.

My Surprise Bridal Shower Was Sunday
EricaG replied to DanielleNDerek's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
I love the candy buffet. I am now craving chocolate!!! Yummy! Your dress looks great on you, glad you were able to find it. I'm glad you had so much fun. -
What Fall TV Shows are you most excited about?
EricaG replied to Christine's topic in Chit Chat Corner!
I am excited about: CSI Grey's Anatomy Desparate Housewives Survivor Amazing Race ER I don't really watch too much TV, but Thursdays are my TV night! -
Danielle - Don't worry about TMI with me. I am a nurse and see and hear a LOT! The other day I had this woman that was apologizing for not looking her best even though she still looked better than me. LOL! Then I had a guy that wouldn't tell me what was wrong which made me realize that he obviously had issues with his nether region, and probably got something from someone. I was right!! Constipation I see all the time, and you don't even want to know what I sometimes have to do to help those people! LMAO! Anyways, one thing that helps with constipation is drinking water. Maybe giving him some water rather than formula or the breast first and then if he still wants more to drink, he could have the formula or breast milk. When you do the other thread for your shower, make sure to put the link here. I can't wait to see the pics. Glad you had a good time. Did you get to wear your shower outfit? Tara - I hope you find your passport soon. I have all of our packed away in the bag I am taking as my carry-on already. I have been thinking about not only test packing, but actually packing some stuff since the warm weather is looking like it will be coming to an end now. We don't really need to have our bathing suits and shorts and tank tops and the such out if we aren't going to use them. I get the joy of packing for 4 people this time, so I might as well get going on it. The 2 weeks before we leave I am soooo busy too. I work the weekend, then have to go to the city for the NKTOB concert on the Tues. Then on Fri I have to head back to the city for the Taboo sex show and getting waxed on Sat before heading home. Then on Wed we will be heading back to the city after Hailey is done playschool and get ready to fly out at 7am on Thurs.

We had our deadline awhile ago and most people didn't bother to RSVP at all. My cousin is probably booking right away though and she was supposed to be in the wedding party but had to bow out. Now she talked to her man again and he not only wants to come, he wants to bring their 2 kids, although my cousin wants to leave them at home. We will see what happens. I also talked to Larry's FSIL and it sounds like they are going to book right away too. I am happy for Larry and that means that we will have 2 guys standing up for him.
