I would have to say my biggest stress were some of our guests getting some of them to book was a nightmare and some of the comments made prior to the wedding almost made me cancel and go to Vegas and let Elvis marry us (and I hate Elvis hehe) Being a member of this forum helped me do so much planning and see a lot of other couples going through the same things, I don't think I could have planned such a great wedding without all the wonderful tips on here.

We had the cocktail reception by the pool and we did the bar package with margarittas, beer and pina coloads as that was what most of our guests were drinking. That was $5 per person I believe they did charge us $3 for the kids as we had several, they did not compromise on the price for adults as they had to pay a staff to be at the bar so I understood that. Our guests who wanted something else tipped the bartenders and then they were able to get whatever they wanted. I did use DJ Bob and I thought he was awesome for anyone looking for a DJ.

Oh Wendy I am sorry that the WC is leaving I have to tell ya I had a bad experience with Yuritzia she was really shady after our meeting because she booked another wedding in the same location at the same time and the other wedding was locals and 200 guests so we were told we could not get married on the beach she ended up wasting 2 days before the wedding she had us meet with the manager and she told the manager the problem was the Officiant could not do our wedding at 4 but she was trying to cover he own but. I wish she would have been honest so we could have spent the time with our guests because in the end they bumped our wedding till 2 anyway. Regardless who your WC is bring ALL your emails because in the end that is the only way were were able to get married on the beach was because in one of my emails I said we wanted the beach only and she had agreed so the manager honored that.

I also agree if your photographer is a guest at the resort it should not be a problem they cant tell guests they cant take photos. JamieJ your wedding is close!!! I also was able to order vegetarian meals and it was not a problem at all.

Oh he should totally do it, we had so much fun. Tell him rather then trashing your dress it actually cleans your dress. My dress was filthy after the wedding but after "trashing" it, it was clean. Good Luck on getting him to do it!

We were in the same boat we sent out 80 invites and got around 8 back the funny thing is we had 32 people at the wedding. We found out most people were coming from our travel agent. I just asked our TA to let us know when people booked.
