I sent some questions to the resort and below are the responses. What are the differences between the Akumal, Tulum and Coba resorts? Tulum was the first hotel of the complex with 858 rooms, only 84 juniors suites and the rest of them standar rooms.Akumal was the second in built with 630 rooms , 72 standar and 558 junior suites. Coba the last one in built with 1080 rooms all junior suites. Is there room service; if so what hours? Only if you are located in the Golden Club Akumal or Golden Club Coba 24 hrs ( snack menu ), How often is the wet bar restocked? I belive you mean mini bar located at the room , this service is restocked every day What time does alcohol stop being served I have seen different time on different sites? The bars located by the pool and beach area close at 5:00 pm , bars located in the lobby from 10 am till 11:00 pm Music Bar from 6:30 pm till 10:30 pm , Bars located at Hacienda Doña Isabel from 7:00 pm till midnight and Disco from midnight till 2:00 am If guests stays for 4 or 7 nights how many nights can they eat at the a la cart restaurant? in the order of: 3 or 4 nights 1 dinner 5 or 6 nights 2 dinners 7 or 9 nights 3 dinners Hope it helps!

I am running into the same thing group rates are high or are only avail. for people who actually travel together (same plane etc.) a lot of my guests will be going for different lengths of time. I did find that Apple Vacations offers a insurance (only for indiv reservations) that offers best rate. So if someone books and the trip (hotel and same flight) goes down at all the guest is locked in at the new rate. This may save your guests some money since they are usually booking so far in advance prior to special prices.

WOW your wedding picts are amazing! I am planning on getting married at the GB Akumal as well. How did you think it all went? Did you pick how to decorate the beach in your meeting when you got to mexico. It looks so pretty with the aqua. Do you know if they had other colors? How did you like the pool reception? We have booked our wedding for Feb 28, 2009 and are trying to determine if it will be windy/chilly at night or if we should do it inside but we want a private reception. I also saw in your photos someone playing a harp which musician package did you purchase? I wish you guys the best of luck and happiness!!

Thanks for the tip, we are planning on having around 50 people do you know if the Dolce will allow a private reception? Also is there enough room to have the dancing portion in the restaurant would we need to rent the disco.
