Just a heads up: I stocked up on sunblock, aloe, and mini tylonol... ALL FOR $1. This is a HUGE savings and they do not look cheap- I am picky. Also, we bought little bottle coolers in the shape of a Hawaiian shirt, mini squirt guns, playing cards, mini loofahs (which is helpful when you are in the sand all day) and a few other goodies. They even had cute little totes that were hawaiian themed... but I was wanting to buy a little nicer one which I can afford now that I saved so much on the contents. We are also planning on adding a few snacks which we plan on buying once we get there and I like the idea of a beach towel... but with the luggage restrictions I might skip that one. Hope this post helps and remember EVERYTHING AT THE DOLLAR STORE IS $1!!! (Duh, right?!.)

yeah so I have two dogs and one man, enough said. I have to dehair every week... would do it twice a week if I had time~ why do boys have such a tough time making the enormous three inch leap from the dish in the sink to the dishwasher? Or the pop can to the recycling bin? I know many people have it WAY worse that I do... but just once I want the socks to make it out of my hall way and into the basket!!!! On a positive note.... I rarely have to do yard work!!!

This is so funny because I had a conversation with my Mom, Aunt and Grandma about this. A lot of people think they need to cook a long time. The way I do it is put the eggs in cold water, add salt, bring to a boil for 10 minutes then let the water cool down. By running the eggs under cold water, it makes the eggs easier to peel...thats it! I question myself all of the time!

St. Luica if you have a young group that doesn't mind the longer flight! Or USVI. I picked Riviera Maya for the easy flight options and affordability!

Any advise or recommendations on location is extremely appriciated. Look forward to chatting! Welcome! I am planning a wedding in Riviera Maya at Dreams Tulum... I was in the exact same place as you two months ago!! Fun and nerve racking. I live in Minneapolis- for RM you fly into Cancun and take a shuttle... kind of nice not to have a layover! Good luck with your plans and have fun with it! Remember that you can't please everyone.

We are doing it at sunset so I hope this is the colors I get for the wedding! Thanks for asking Very Pretty! Are you going to do an arch or cover up that door so people don't come walking out of it Just a thought. I think it is beautiful. And I still want your website, ha. I just told bill again since my invites are going to be those colors.....

She said she was going to be there for a couple of days more... She also said she is going over her weddings with Landy to update her on everyone's details. I saw Landy do a few weddings when I was there last and she did a wonderful job. I'm not worried. Alin & Mako... do you have any pictures of your ceremony location? Just curious to see where it is near, what it overlooks, etc! Sounds beautiful!

I hate to think about the possibility of bad weather but we all know its a reality! On another front, I asked Perla if I could have the script that the minister uses for the symbolic ceremony. She put me in contact with the minister Alex Monroy who sent me this email. First of all let me congratulate you for choosing this paradise for your wedding ceremony. I am the minister who will be very happy and proud to officiate your wedding ceremony. Thank you for allowing me to be part of this important event in your life. I wanted to touch base with you, and let you know I will be very glad to answer any doubt or question you may have in regard to the ceremony. I always prefer that the bride listens to it at the very moment she is getting married, otherwise it loses the special feeling and surprise to hear lovely words focusing on love, friendship, and long life commitment. The order of the non denominational ceremony goes like this. It usually takes 15 to 20 minutes tops: Who gives their blessing for this wedding? “Usual answer Her mother and I “ Welcome Words Gathering Words Readings by family or friends (if requested) Opening Prayer (in case of religious ceremony) Scripture Reading (in case of religious ceremony) Charge to the Couple Wedding Vows Exchange of Rings Wedding Prayer (in case of religious ceremony) Pronouncement of Husband and Wife First kiss as husband and wife Presentation of the new Mr. and Mrs. Have a great day, a safe flight to Cancún, and I will see you real soon. Alex Monroy The only thing that bothers me about this is that he said it lasts 15 to 20 minutes tops! I don't want it to be really long, but I also don't want to feel rushed. What do you girls think? Also, do you think it would better to see his actual script? I would rather hear it for the first time on my wedding day but the bossy side of me wants to know everything he is saying! I feel you... I think you can add a song or two, a poem/scripture or your own words to lengthen it. Just let him know what you want to do and when- or ask him (minister) when it is appropriate. It is YOUR day, you can do whatever you want!

I would like to thank everyone in advance for any input. Have a nice day Welcome! I am getting married about the same time- Feb 09 and was looking at both areas too... my TA said that Cabo is spa and golf focused... so if that is what you are looking for look no further! Thanks! 2009 will have a price increase to sloooow down the booking process. Just trying to figure out when to initiate it. We are slammed up against 45 weddings in 70 days, and shooting dozens of TTD's in that same time frame. April, May & June dates go quick for us. thanks for the shout out Mateo Will the price increase be before or during the busy time next year?

No separate price list from what I saw - not sure for what? You mean to decorate it or just to book the rooms? Yeah, I just didnt know if there was a charge to rent the ballroom... something that is nice to know. Also, The covered entrance to the ballroom looks pretty big... could you do a toast out there or anything?

Neen: Can you have your ceremony an hour later? Or do you need that time for pics? If your guests are staying there, they can always go back to their room or to the bar like Sunbride said. It's not like a traditional wedding where you have to worry about them roaming around time with no place to go. I heard that someone had the mariachi band play durning that time and a happy hour- just another option if you are nervous about it. It'll be perfect I'm sure... you two are such a cute couple!
