I have an idea of how many will attend (at least 60)...do you think I should start making/printing/putting things together based on that number and just figure on doing more if needed come November when we get our final count? I don't want to OVER order things like welcome bags and pashminas, but I also don't want any extras to be/look different than the rest because they were last minute add ons... Advice please So I am in the same boat too. I am leaving some of the more in-depth projects til later- but if you see something you like on sale- go for it! I bought 30 canvas tote bags: we are planning on getting them screen printed with our logo... but are going to hold out on that part. The bags were on sale at Eddie Bauer for $12. That is kind of spendy, but I am planning on this being our favors... and the contents are reasonable. Right now I am at $20 per bag. When we get to Mexico I am going to put some snacks, water and maybe mini tiquila bottles in them. I went to the Dollar store and bought my aloe, sunscreen, tylenol, playing cards, mini squirt guns, loofahs, etc... all for $1 or less- the playing cards had 2-3 per pack... mini loofahs had 4 I think. Some of the other projects I will wait on. I am working on a Facebook with everyone who is attending the wedding, will be put with an itinerary in the OOT bags... I am working on the Facebook as I go but won't get them printed until after the RSVP.... Nov. 15 is our RSVP date as well!

  4. Hi there! We are getting married in January and having our AHR June 13 for the same reasons. I haven't put a ton of thought into it yet but I need to... so I'll keep you posted! Where are you thinking of having your reception in the TC? Cakes: Are you wanting a traditional wedding cake or just a sheet cake? If you want just a sheet cake Costco's cakes rock. Not sure if they do tiered wedding cakes, I'll look next time. I know that Byerly's makes wedding cakes. Remember: in MN try to get away from saying that you are having a wedding reception and just say party- save tons of money that way. No idea about DJ's yet. I know a ton of people have used midwest sound. If you Google "DJ service in MN" I got a ton of results. I have heard that you get what you pay for around here so maybe we could research together!
  5. Anyone have a recommondation for a good videographer in PV

    Hello

Welcome! My friends got married at Barcelo and LOVED it... one thing they said they liked is that they take you for a tour of the grounds when you get there and pick out the location then. Do a search for this hotel to find more brides planning a wedding there!

    Hello!

Welcome! If you search from Dreams Los Cabos you will find a ton of helpful information. The wedding planners are super busy, so if you don't hear back for a couple of days (Especially Friday/Saturday which are popular wedding days) that is completely normal! I know it is frusterating... but part of the whole DW thing is that you have to let go! Everything WILL work out. And when you need info or to vent come on here and us brides will calm your nerves. Good luck!

  15. I put together a "how to" sheet for anyone who wants to make these invites! It is pretty detailed so beware. And let me know if I am missing anything. Good Luck! It is pretty easy once you get going. Do It Yourself Invitations.doc
  16. Hey, I created a word doc on how to put together a DIY invite that I made... how do I post a word doc?

You can even send an email to let people know that you have new info on your site! If you are trying to save money, you could have people RSVP on your site or have them call you if they don't use the internet. MY FI was totally for this idea and it could work depending on your group. The site is inexpensive and easy to use! Highly recommended for DWs. There are some free websites too- don't know a ton about them, but mine cost $99. I decided to skip the paper STD- but if you wanted to do that I think it is really cute when people send a magnet... there are a ton of places to get them made online and they are pretty cheap- you can even get magnet paper from Staples and print them yourself. Then just use that adhesive to attach it to a notecard and send them off! Hope that helps. Good luck!
  18. I'm getting hungry now! From now on I am coming on here for recipies. Erin: Totally going to start planning out my week... saves $$$/trips to the store when you end up buying crap too!
  19. I have a satin wedding dress for sale. It is a size 8- I think if you wore a 10 you'd be ok. My new dress is a 12 so I am kind of stuffed into it. It is actually 2 pieces which is really nice, trust me. It has never been worn and will take an offer... please make it enough to make it worth shipping it... not sure how much that will cost?
  20. Awww, I saw these on her blog! (She is my photog too) You two look so happy!
