  7. my fav is dressing up as a "woods fairy" like from midsummers night dream. I put the twigs in my hair and smudge up my face... but add a little sparkle. And fav part is the pointy ears... you can get them at a halloween store, and wings... they have all types.

If you have a tight budget, they also do photography. Otherwise look at Elizabeth Lloyd... or look on the Las Caletas thread... lots of girls that just got married there with suggestions. I too am bringing in a photographer.

We are getting married in January. The time of year makes a difference too. Maybe go to farecast, kyak and some of the other travel .coms and look for package deals... see what you come up with that way!
  11. That's great! Welcome and happy planning!

I'll post a couple pics if i can figure out how! I have a question about invitations: What rsvp date is everyone giving? I sent out SODs back in July, and will send a reminder email to book rooms Oct. 1 (the rate is only guaranteed until Oct. 15), so I was viewing the invites as a formality, which we'll be sending out Nov. 1, and was planning on putting December 15 for the rsvp date for my Jan 25 wedding. But I'm thinking maybe I should put December 1, just so I know by then, in case there are any stragglers. The woman at the stationery store is against it (I guess from a strict etiquette standpoint, it's not proper, but I think with a destination wedding, etiquette is more flexible). What do you think? Thanks!!! I said RSVP by Oct 1... if I know people are looking into it and have reached out to me I let them know they could take more time. But at least I have an idea whether people are serious or not. I'd recommend earlier, for your sanity! Your shower sounds like it was fun! How exciting!

Good luck on the dress search. I think a bridesmaid dress would be the way to go... then you can choose more things like length, color, etc... and they are easy to alter if you are not satisfied. Another thing is you might night find what you are looking for in a regular store now that it is fall, so don't waste your time scouring the racks- it will make you go crazy! Maybe check out watters too if you want a simple dress yet still bridal. also try jcrew occassions.
  18. soooo cute! I hope that when you come back a happy newlywed you will take the time to help me with mine!!!!!!
  19. well, I got in a work out today! tomorrow may be another story- I have so many dang conf calls I had to cancel my pilates class:-(
