  2. Hahaha Seaprincess! I have the SAME problem with crown molding in my living room! Apparently it is difficult to cut molding so it has taken over a year!!!!! Men!!!
  3. How fun! you will find lots of good info here! Happy Planning!
  4. I also like it when a bride has a white bouquet, and a colored rose for each lost loved one. Very sweet!
  5. How fun! Search all of the DIY (do it yourself) Ideas and travel forums!
  6. Hi! Websites are very helpful... I did that first, then I skipped STD and sent the invites!
  7. You could do like the old farmers did back in the day... they would eat straight Lard to coat their stomachs. It helps so that the alcohol doesn't get in the blood stream as fast. Gross huh?!. I honestly don't know what to take but I have no tolerance and my bach party is next weekend. Help ladies!
  8. Oh, and in my opinion, a veil will definately go with your dress.... you should see mine- it is chantilly lace and the back train is made out of tulle... the same thing as a veil, so if I am not careful it looks like I am wearing 2 veils, ha! Did you find a simple "comb" veil... like one that is just a piece of tulle that goes straight down the back... those you can't even see from the front so it won't take away from the detail of the dress- and it is very elegant but simple. That would be my vote. And fingertip length. Short might be a litt modern. My opinions! DO whatever you want! It is your day!

  13. Maybe she would feel special because she could offer you insight. You could word it as such: Since it is such an important occassion, we love that you have seen it and enjoyed it. Remember you are playing host to your guests. Having someone that has been there is a huge plus in the planning. Just make her feel special and it will be great!

Thanks Kat, that thought had crossed my mind too I will continue to confirm and if I find out before I leave that it won't work, I'll get married here and have a symbolic ceremony there. If I found out after I get there that it's not ok, FI were thinking and hoping we can have a symbolic ceremony there and get married here when we get home. Do any of you ladies know for the symbolic ceremonies if there's always a minister on the resort (even when not needed) to perform the ceremony? Thanks again everyone, this site is awesome and you're all so fabulous and supportive! Believe me, they wouldn't want to lose your business! There WILL be a wedding! Now, get some sleep tonight!
  16. Whatever you want! And whatever makes you feel comfortable. You can skip that part of the ceramony if you want. Or use that space to honor your dad by presenting your mom with a rose or something. DW are special because you can make it your own and no one will think it is off! Best wishes!
  17. Welcome! Be sure to check out the vendor rules to make sure you are on the up and up! You are going to love this forum!
  18. Good news: I have heard of them making exceptions at resorts before. I guess I don't know where your resort is, exactly, buy I know in some parts of mexico it is legally a 2 or 3 day policy... and the resort says 4 days for their own policy. So you might be able to confirm that. Bad news: Sometimes in Islands/Mexico their word doesn't always hold up. So continue to confirm. Either way, don't stress too much. You have your flight so it's done. If it isn't legal for some reason do it when you get back. And if you are losing sleep over it, get legally married before you go. Im doing that for convenience and a guarantee that everything is in order legally. Not worried about it taking away from my DW either- more like a formality! It WILL work out!
  19. I think this is kind of common unfortunately. Just be firm and say this $$ is my budget. And keep trying to call her! I am positive everything will work out regardless. Keep trying through the weekend and the beginning of the week consistantly. If you don't hear anything by wednesday it is time for plan B. And tell her that in the message! Best wishes!
