  1. Well girls, here are some pictures from my bachelorette party last weekend! We went to WI to Oktoberfest and then "Wigged Out!" that night! It was a night to remember for sure. No major scandals but tons of fun! I am wearing the hot pink wig and my sister (MOH) is in purple! CUTEST INVITE EVER MADE BY MY SISTER! OKTOBERFEST!
  2. well, it is crappy and good for you to vent on here! The beauty about a DW is you could show up with what you are going to wear and everything will work out. And as you probably figured out by now, not much gets done with the WC before you get there anyways... Landy is too busy dealing with everyone elses weddings! Try to let go a little and have faith. It would be beautiful without flowers or decorations! Work on you and him. Spend time together. Spend a night not thinking/talking about the wedding. But also let him know how he is making you feel. He should know. Good luck!
  3. We met on Plentyoffish.com... It is a free site, i was on for a couple of weeks after my roommate (a guy) met a really cool girl... they didn't end up together but did become friends! Bill was on for 3 days, did not have any pics... not sure why I talked to him but he seemed genuine. Most of our fam/friends don't know. We told them that we met in a coffee shop... which we did, sortof. I GRILLED him over email (about kids, responsibilities, family, work, drinking, etc.) He passed the test. Then came the phone call... more like dead air. But, at the end of the call he had enough guts to ask me out. We've been together almost 3 years... very, very happy!
  4. We'll miss you! Now go have a blast and have a great wedding!

The designer hereself measured me for the dress and made the entire thing from scratch for me. I know they do a size larger becuase you can take in but not let out and of course it needs to be hemmed to be the right length with my shoes. But I am not making any changes to the dress and I did not gain any weight, I lost a little but not drastic. They want $500 for alterations! The dress was a lot but to my mom and I isn't what we were paying for was a custom dress? We were expecting maybe $300 in alterations since it has to be all done by hand. I was hoping you guys could advice? Had we known this much I would have bought a cheaper dress and spent the $500 bucks in alterations to make it the way I wanted. I just think that is a little extreme. Hi! find someone else to do the alterations. I am in the same boat, but am taking it to another seamstress. Just get a reference, but if it simple it shouldn't be a problem (by hand too)... You shouldn't have to pay more than $300. You are paying wedding mark up my friend.
  6. we are just doing sibblings and not paying. Instead of our parents helping us, we asked them to help our sibblings... and so far my parents paid for my brother and sister's airfare which is nice. I think it is a good idea to chose from the ones who book... then be sure to keep the expenses such as attire, etc to a minimum. Bill is paying for the guy's attire. The girls paid for their dresses but I plan to make that up to them at the spa. And I bought their shoes, jewlery.
  7. Everything looks incredible! Maybe when you get back you can crack the whip on me?!. Best Wishes for a febulous time!
  8. Awww... Good job Noah! Makes it all the more perfect. Happy Birthday too!!

  10. congrats! Hope it was all and more!

Hey! If you are talking about Playa Fiesta, have your mom call Adam and ask her questions!
  13. I wouldn't let it bother you. It will be all about you anyways... I say it's not fair to her if her family/friends aren't there to share it with. Not your problem. PS we were kind of hoping some of our friends would get engaged on our trip! It would be fun!
  14. I am sorry!!! I cannot imagine what you are going through right now. We are here for you if you need anything and will be in my thoughts and prayers!
  15. Way to go on checking things off the list! I have the groomsman attire and dads attire done except sandals, yay!
