Nice! So for invites we are planning on doing one of the picture cards- like people do for Christmas cards. The one we like has a pic on front, then you open it and there is a picture inside with details. So not the really cheap ones, but pretty reasonable too. We are going to have our slideshow and video going as well... food is going to be kabobs, brats, salads and bars...things you can eat with plastic silverware. we'll serve beer, wine, sodas and maybe a punch. Works for me! The part I need to worry about is transportation/parking. They are out in the country a little ways and I don't want people to take advantage of open bar and drive tipsy out there so we are thinking of shuttling people to and from. I think it would be a wise investment.

Hi. We are just starting to plan ours. I am in MN and have weather like you, so we are waiting and having it June 13th. We are having a tent at DH parents' house and booked a DJ... our group loves to dance I guess. We are having some easy food catered and grilling. Havent got much further but need to be working on it now!

I just put everything on our website- including complete booking instructions too. In fact, I pretty much cut and pasted Kate's info. It worked pretty well. The tax in PV is outrageous though I agree! PS I am going to have my pro slideshow by the weekend, yay!

haha... you are too cute. So DH thought the same thing about the mariachi!!!!!! He was kindof against it. Somewhere in the middle of the process he learned to trust me... come on, I have great taste and he knows it and let it go. It was romantic and we loved it. I think they have 2 spanish guitars too... maybe he'd feel more comfortable with that? Whatever you decide, it will be great! And the mariachi was enjoyed by the guests more than us... we were to focused on getting married to listen much but I will say the guests were wowed by it!

Hi Ladies... sure been quiet in here lately! Just wanted to let you know that I got my wedding video back from PromoVision and they did a fantastic job! It was so fun to watch. I received 4 copies with professional covers (pics from the wedding, name and date). The video has chapters like: Getting Ready, Ceremony, Cocktail Hour, Dinner, Toasts, Cake, Fireworks, Dancing, etc. Very cool. I really like how they incorporated the setting... like the sun setting, waves, birds, etc. So I never really thought about having a wedding video until I saw my 2 SIL videos... it is so fun to watch. DH mom whips them out at holidays sometimes. It then became a must have, but I wanted the same quality, KWIM. I believe I got that... and for under $1000! There were 2 camera operators, they were there for 8 hrs, and all of the editing they did which makes me think I got a deal. So there is my review of that for now:) Hope you are all well! I am still waiting for my pictures, I had hired an outside photographer. (Long story) I am very excited and should be getting them soon.

Ok here are mine: 1. Less is more when you are in a beautiful surrounding 2. Don't be suprised when people that you least expect let you down 3. Doesn't seem like it in the begining, but not having a wedding party is smart and cheaper. Or pick one. 4. Your wedding coordinator makes the wedding 5. Remember it is about you and you FI above all 6. Budget realistically
