  1. Oh that is so great! What are the 2 dress choices? Do share! Melissa... don't sweat! You will be ready. I will ask bill for our meet the guests template and try to get that to you. You can at least see what we did. It was in a program we bought from office max, it turned out great but was kindof a pain. Music during dinner... I had a list and forgot to give it to Aldo! But it worked out better than expected. It is like old favs with a latin flare... it was awesome. So we didn't even talk about it, he just did it. Trust aldo. He is VERY talented. Plus, he gets to know you and your group all week long so he knows how to set the mood.

It seems to be more popular to do it before and I want to make sure I'm not missing anything. Hey, I don't think it is a big deal. I think it is all a mental thing. We did it before, and our wedding in PV felt like the real thing once we were there. I may have posted this before, but at the court house we dressed casual, did not exchange rings... we did exchange vows. It was a Tuesday during the lunch hour, we brought 2 friends and went to a nice lunch to celebrate. It felt real for the first day or so... but there was no dress, celebration, etc so when Mexico came around it was our real wedding date! Either way you go, I suggest downplaying your legal ceremony. That way your anniv, etc is truely your DW day. PS people will ask silly questions like "so what is your anniv? Or what day willl you celebrate" and I am kind of like ? really?
  3. Ivory flowers would be gorgeous! Roses, peonies, even tight arrangements of carnations give a more polished/modern look. Good luck and happy planning!
  4. mmmmm.... cheetos. because they are so naughty and off limits otherwise! I hadn't had them in years~
  5. Hey! As long as you don't go around making deposits, haha I think it is great that you get a jump start! Picking the spot is the tough spot, just start browsing the forums and see what you find. Good luck!

Are there other private locations on the beach other than villas and Le Kliff? where are you staying at in Mislamoya? Another option would be to hire a local wedding coordinator and have it catered if they'll let you be on the beach. You do get what you pay for a bit. The live music at la Palapa is just local mariachi bands that go around to the tables and play for tips. Not really standing in one spot, KWIM?
  7. Whoop whoop! Great choice mods. Erin- you rock!
  8. We ate there during our wedding week and it was nice. Food was good, the beach is public so you would have a lot of spectators where Le Kliff wouldn't. Le Kliff is close to where you are staying. Good luck!

  12. I'd just ignore him. And if he mentions it at dinner I'd say "oh, I thought you were joking! I thought you respected me more than that!"
