Well congrats first of all!!! I think you asked the right question- will you regret it if you don't have a "wedding". If not go to the court house and get hitched already. If you want a wedding... then decide what your priorities are and set a timeline accordingly. (ex: It takes time to order a wedding dress if that is important to you.) In the end, it's all about you two so enjoy the ride!

Oh I almost forgot to tell you that my MIL wore the same color as my bridesmaids too... we joked and called her the 4th brides maid:) here is a picture of my inlaws at the wedding so you can get an idea of what it's like... I think it is beautiful, but biased:P And my mom wore a contrasting color... she looked gorgeous I might add:)

Wow. I don't think it is rude at all... in fact, she did you a favor. At least all of your pictures will look good. Now, if she would have chosen a color that clashed deliberately THAT would be a problem. Totally understand that weddings and ILs can be stressful at times... but please take my advice and pick your battles or you'll never survive!!!

Our wedding was in January and reception in June. We had put the reception date on our STDs... then sent out the reception invite 2 months prior. It is also a good idea to put the reception info on your website if you have one.

Congrats! Those areas sound great! I would definately search those locations on this site... you will find tons of information! One thing to remember is flight time... you want it to be reasonable for your elderly guests... I think that is possible from FL! Good luck

So I cheated and went to Target- Market Pantry made Carmel Apple Cider this year... so I bought that and I make my own whipped cream so I thought that would be good. I am sure Starbucks is better though. Maybe I'll make it for my SIL babyshower! That would be delicious!

The good news is picking the spot, date are out of the way!!! So now just pick on thing off your list at a time, and try to enjoy!
