  1. This is a hard situation. I'm guessing she is upset not because she is not in the wedding, standing up for you, helping you out, planning our bachlorette party, bridal shower, etc... She's not there for you when you are having a rough day, or when you and you FI are arguing over what color the napkins should be. It sounds like to me that she is living in a fantasy world that since she is your sister she gets to play BM for a day and look pretty. But not except all the other roles. I think that asking her to read a poem or something is a great idea. And after that you have to move on

  7. Where are you haveing your wedding? Is there a wedding cordinator. If you have a cordintator I would ask her about those things ASAP. If you are doing them on your own then I would also start now. I personally would want to do it now so that I wouldnt have to stress right before the wedding
  8. Congarats. I was so relieved after I did my deposit and signed the papers.
  9. So if no one has offerd to throw you an engagement part its perfectly fine to throw your own. I wasnt vreative when I asked my bridemaids I just aked. But one of my girlfreinds is getting married. She ahd all of the bridesmaids over for a get togther the night before the E- party for a girly sleep over. She handed out really cute cookies shaped as brides. And then tied a note asking each one of us to be her brides maid, maid of honor, flower girl etc... It was super cute.
  10. Congrats. It gets kinda stressful trying to keep track of everyone and their plans. I think giong through a TA for everyone is such a great way to stay sane
  11. Thanks for the web site info. I checked it out and there are a lot of great dresses.
  12. that is so exciting. Welcome and congrats. happy Planning
  13. You should not feel guilty. If people want to come, then great, if they dont, then dont. The only thing that I would suggest is not to expect gifts. If you are doing a bachlorette party, maybe keep it low, key, and low cost
  14. That is such a great deal, They are geat, and can be worn again to something else
  15. My Fi and I are having our wedding in Cancun, and will only be having like 40 guests. This is perfect for what we wanted, small and intimate. But then there were hurt feelings from others about not being invited. So we decided to have a second reception when we got home. Nothing big just beer wine and appetizers at the local country club. Are guest list is now over 300 people, which is great. But now people are telling me that this is tacky. I dont know what to do. Help
  16. Congrats on booking. Boy would I love to be in Cancun right now with a Margaria in hand
  17. Congradulations. May it be the most perfect day
  18. Since I am a "Napkin" (from Napa) I am partial. The country club is fabulous. It is absolutly beautiful year round, the food is supurb, and the staff is excellent. It is a bit pricey, but you will not be dissapointed. My future sister in-law works there and loves it. Please feel free to ask me if you have any question
  19. Gloria Ferrer is great. HOWEVER if you are planning a wedding there, keep in mind that people will be drinking. You will play hell trying to get taxi's out there, and there isnt a hotle around for at least 10 miles
  20. The Gaia hotel, is pretty cool. I live in Napa, and it is the 1st of it's kind here. You will love getting married in Napa
  21. Welcome, I cant wait to hear about the proposal
