Feedback needed:Return Wedding Reception

Either way my question to everyone is this, when is it not appropriate to wear my wedding dress again at an AHR? I love my dress and I'm really hoping I can find an excuse to wear it more then once. If you want to wear it again, then go for it. There are a lot of brides who are wearing it again. I may end up wearing it again, who knows after I get it on they may have to pry it off my body. LOL -

How Did your FI ask for your hand?
adias.angel replied to Maybride2009's topic in Share your Wedding & Engagement Stories!
Oh how sweet!! Your story made me cry. You have one great FI. Carla -
Yep I made sure I would be getting hi-res digital negatives that have been edited. So I know she knows photoshop and she appears to be good at it too. I am not to bad with photoshop so I can always give it a try. I tried to look up a good tutorial but couldn't find much that was helpful. I really like her so maybe if she doesn't do that I will take you up on that offer. BTW Thank you for offering, helps me to know if all else fails I can do it myself.

Thanks Morgan! I think you hit the nail on the head with all the evals. I loved the ones by Jeremy but I couldn't figure out why I wasn't jumping up and down yelling "he's the one". Once you said that about the pictures having no connection/romance I went, THAT'S WHY!!! I am really leaning towards Laurie for all the reasons you said. She has only been doing it for about a year but you can tell she is good. I think the pictures of the dogs really gave her that edge as we want our puppy (possible 2 puppies since we might be getting another) in our pictures. I emailed her and ask if she could remove my braces in the pictures. Keeping fingers crossed.

Which one are you looking at for your reception?

"bridesmaids being picky"
adias.angel replied to latinalocany's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
All of our guests are wearing whiteneutral colors so I told my bridesmaids pick out any dress or skirt they liked as long as it was whiteneutral. Needless to say it made everyone happy. Carla -
So I have heard back from a good number of the photogs I emailed. Here is my top three so far based on price, getting digital negatives and artistic/photo journalistic style. 1.) Engagements Dayna Schroeder Photography Concerns: LOVE the style of the 2 newest posts but not so much the older 2. Wondering what style I will get.... 2.)Jeremy Lawson Photography No concerns. He is a little bit more than the other 2 but love his work. Still waiting to hear back to see if he can photoshop/edit out my braces. 3.) Kevin Weinstein (click on the engagement link towards bottom of page Concerns: he doesn't do any photoshop editing and I would have to pay a professional extra to remove my braces out of the picture. I need some honest opinions, what do you think of them? Thanks all! Carla

Trash the Dress question

I saw it on one of Del Sol's videos where they retitled it wash the dress. Most dresses can actually get wet and nothing will happen to them. Here look at these from Del Sol: del Sol Photography - Movie - Trash The Dress Sol Tamargo Photography Wedding Photojournalism del Sol Photography associate photographer Vincent del Sol Photography associate photographer Vincent An AHR is a at home reception. And what ceremony are you referring to? Carla -

I just went to Paul's website and the price list has changed. It use to say $400 per hour but now it only lists them as starting in 3 hour packages for $1200... Well back to the drawing board. If I find a person to do it for just an hour I will let you know. Carla

After I showed him a few photogs I found he was all for it. Plus he LOVES Chicago, one of his favorite places to visit. At least its on decision down and a ton more to go. LOL

So if his dad takes the job there that means we have free room and board. I am keeping my fingers crossed he takes the job, I really want them back close to us.

Dealing with Families and a DW....
adias.angel replied to Mixie23's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
I think you are doing the right thing by offering to pay for him. Even if she just came down for 2 days he wouldn't be away from his family for long and your FI still has his brother. Carla
