  4. Have been looking at pictures of xcaret and loved it. Can't have ceremony there because they only do evening weddings. I saw this picture and thought it would be amazing to do a TTD there. Any thoughts from people who have been there? Thanks, Carla

Yes freeze dried rose petals are a bit more sturdy and cheaper but look just like fresh. Depending on how heavy you want them you are probably looking at 4 cups per sq ft. Here is a bunch of info on rose petals and square footage. Rose Petals 101 We are definetly going freeze dried. Hope that helps, Carla
  7. Try search on google for "photo slideshow software". There are a lot of programs that will do it for you. Also some will allow you to place music and movie clips in them. Most are very easy to use. Good luck, Carla

Looks like of resort like and touristy, trying to stay as far away from that as possible. Thank you so much for all the suggestions!! You give me some ideas to show my FH.

So there is no way we would ever fill the hotel to meet the 100% requirement you talked about. The other one at the top of our list was the maroma but it also has a occupancy requirement, 80%. Well back to the drawing board.

When we did get responses from them, there werent any set price sheets and they required 100% occupancy of the resort which was unrealistic for us. but staying at ikal was one of our favorite experiences in the area- and i highly recommend it, might be an amazing place to honeymoon...? Thank you so much for the info. Sounds like it is off our list too, we are coming in by cruise ship. Really disappointing since it was one of my top 2 locations right now....

I would still love to hear about your site visit though.

The sun will set at 5:20, so the whole thing will be after dark. It seems odd to pay a bunch for this beautiful place but not be able to enjoy it at all during the day light!! Do they do all of their ceremonies like this or is that the only time they do it in the chapel?

  22. Thanks guys. Yea 45 minutes is a bit far. I was thinking of going no further south than xcaret.

I understand though that it can be dicey if there is weather. You will love Grand Caymen! It was the very first port I ever went to. And you are right about the dicey weather, Grand Caymen is one of the most frequently missed ports. But with that said I will keep my fingers crossed for you that the weather is amazing in October.
  24. I would recommend the Fiskars Desktop Rotary Trimmer: I makes for a nice clean, fast cut and you can change the blades out of it. Not only can you get a blade for the scoring and cutting but also making those neat little perforated tear lines. Plus the blades are pretty cheap. Here is a list of blades that do all kinds of cuts. Fiskars Rotary Trimmer Blades - Discount Art Supplies Beyond that all you need is a corner rounder punch you do have to cut the corners.
