  1. I am making my own with the help my Marth Stewart FMIL. I saw these and fell in love. Found out all you need is a projector, material and paint. Here is a picture of how to trace the image so you can paint it on:

From what I have been told they actually do this a lot in cases where the couple was married in one faith but wants to be blessed by another; eg Bride is Catholic, Groom is Baptist. Right now I leaning towards a non-denominational minister.

  5. I actually just posted mine that are my top two. Here in case you want to look: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t29307
  6. Hi Ladies So I finally have a couple monograms I love. I now can't decide which one I want to use or if I want to use both of them. Which one do you like best? Thanks ladies your the best! Carla #1 - Compass Circle, Solid Text #2 - Compass Circle, Outline Text #3 - Compass, Text on Top and Bottom #4 - Compass, Text on Bottom
  7. Thanks, just proves I know nothing about veils. I was trying to find a couple picture of veils that were place in the hair like this so I could show my FMIL. She is taking her veil, which was worn by both her and her mother, and putting a different clip on it for me.
  8. Hi All, I like the way this veil looks, coming out from the bottom of the hair instead of from the top of the head. Is there a name for this kind of veil? Thanks, Carla
  9. Yep totally agree. One thing you might want to look at is how much brighter the colors are on the real touch silk version vs real cymbidium orchids.

  12. I am carrying a small framed picture of my father on my bouquet with me when I walk down the aisle. Christopher will have one of his grandmother on his boutonniere. Then we will have a small table with a candle burning for my father, his grandmother and other family members that we lost. Thinking about putting a picture of each on the candles.

Maybe it is different for weddings but when my niece, nephew and FSIL did their senior pictures and that is how much 4x6 were. They went to different photographers so I gave the ranges between the three different photographers. I wish they had only been $10-$15 because then our house would be covered in their pictures.
  14. I merged template #1 with the "really big to-do-list" so that it is more DW geared. I even made it calculate due dates too. Hope this helps others, Carla PlanningWed.xls

Since we are only inviting like 5%-10% of our family to the DW we are having a blessing and AHR for everyone when we get home....

This is from the chineese proverb by Lao Tzu ~ "The journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step". I guess this is what you would call our wedding saying since it is on almost all our stuff. Carla

It is the cost of the prints that will really kill your budget in the end. Make sure you get the digital files so that you can print your own. For example a 4x6 would cost you less than a $1 to print but buying them, depending on the photog, will cost about $25-$40 each!
  19. Hi All, How many monograms did you use? If you used more than one was it very similar to each other? I am asking because I have 2 designs but I love both of them. They are VERY different in the way they look. Should I use both of them in different areas? thanks, Carla

  21. We looked at Italy and the prices were so much higher than HI or MX. If just for pure cost I would vote for HI.

That being said, $10 grand should be feasible, it just depends on how many people you are paying for, and what extras you will be adding. WOW! Sounds like your TA wasn't very good. We have been doing price comparisons and our TA is getting us much better rates than anywhere we could book
