Have you exercised today?

An hour of spin plus a half hour of upper body weights and abs! I have set a schedule in order to be more consistent...hopefully it works once the snow starts! Its been almost a year since my wedding and I'm up 10lbs from my wedding day so I vow to lose that and some before next summer! Wish me luck! -

We were told that the icing would be white but we had a choice of different cakes (we chose chocolate with strawberries and it was amazing! YUMM-O!!! I believe the other choices were white, chocolate and carrot? Don't quote me on that though.) As far as I know, the waiters before the ceremony came with the wedding package.... we weren't asked to pay extra for them but we were paying extra for the beach party so I don't know? Its seems like from the few brides who have reported back, Carolina offers different options and says that different things are standard. For example the cake - we were offered colours for the cake, but were not offered ribbon OR flowers on it. I would have had flowers for sure since they looked beautiful on your cake Ottawa Bride! For future brides - If you want something, ask b/c she may not offer it to you, but it could be a possibility! I think that as the wedding business grows at this resort, she is getting more creative, so that is good news for brides to be! And the waiters are included with the package. I didn't have a beach reception, but alcohol was served prior to and after my ceremony at no extra charge.

Hope I can get something like that. Which photographer did you end up booking with? haha, thank you! We had Fran at Photosouvenir and he did a fantastic job, although from what I hear on the forum they are crazy busy and people are having trouble booking them! As for your question about the royal section I have no idea what the rooms are like b/c that part of the hotel is sectioned off....I do know that the pool, beach cabana's look absolutely gorgeous, so I would expect the rooms to be stunning! Let us know what they were like when you get back b/c I don't think any other bride has reviewed the Royal!

Hey girls - I haven't been on here in a while, but I was browsing through and wanted to chime in on the room types.... There are actually several different types of rooms. When you are getting married, you are put in the honeymoon suite (there are 3 in each villa if my memory serves me)....which is what we had. It has an outdoor shower and hammock (enclosed under a thatched roof), and has a jaccuzzi and standup shower in the washroom as well as a canopy bed and sitting area. It was lovely. Some of my other guests had a variety of different rooms. Some basic - bed and shower/tub combo washroom Some with a bit more - a) standard bed(s) with sitting area, shower bed(s), jaccuzzi in the room c) two floor rooms...bedroom on one floor, washroom on the second with stairs inside the room And the honeymoon suites are all on the ground level, so some have an obstructed view of the water, others no view at all. All the other brides that were there that I saw had a suite, so if they put you in anything else, I would mention it to them. We loved our room!

Congrats! She's adorable! And does Penelope ever look like her mommy! Quote: Originally Posted by ~Andrea~ Hey everyone! Yes, my beautiful daughter arrived on November 7! I work for the federal government...sounds boring, but I work for Sport Canada as a program officer and I LOVE it! With the 2010 Vacouver Olympics rapidly approaching, it's an exciting time to be working in Canadian sport. I have a degree in Human Kinetics, so it is fantastic to be working in my field!

My future sister-in-law just went to Kleinfelds in September and found THE dress! Mind you it cost her an arm and a leg! She was helped by Keisha and got to meet Randy. She said the experience was amazing (clearly she is also a huge fan of the show, she even applied 3 times to be on it) even though she wasn't being filmed. If you already have the appointment, I say go for it even if you find the dress before hand....this is your chance to be a bride, so live it up!

We booked La Uva when we arrived, and there is the option of the private reception, but if you want that I would suggest you contact Carolina asap to book it with her just in case. There is also a great thread on this forum called Married or Getting married at the Grand Palladium Punta Cana that will be a good resource for you. Good luck in January and happy planning!

CherryBomb - Our reception was on the patio at La Uva. On Page 12 of this thread, I posted some tips in choosing a restaurant that I thought would be helpful. Here is the link to my review with some pics of the restaurant set-up for my reception...I chose to let them set up the reception however Carolina felt appropriate. Keep in mind, I also had about 50 guests, so if you have less guests, you could definetly have a different set-up. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...ng-long-38034/ Quote: Originally Posted by CherryBomb Seaprincess, those are gorgeous pics! My pleasure, anytime! Thanks for the compliments! I only now getting around to framing some of my favorites, and its fun to look at the photos and remember how much fun it was...you guys are going to have a blast! Are you doing a TTD? Hmmm, I don't know why that's happening....the links used to work I'll see if I can fix them, otherwise you'll just have to search my pic links the old fashioned way.... Quote: Originally Posted by caribbeanLover seaprincess, how come when I click on your links for TTD another window open's and it's the BDW home page? it happens for every link I click on.. any ideas? The toast was about 10 minutes and then then our photog took over and I didn't even get to finish my glass of champagne!! The ceremony was at 4, followed by the signing of the legal docs, then the cake cutting/toast, so probably around 4:30-4:45 everything was wrapped up for the guests....we had photos and then train picked us up at about 6 or 6:30 in the lobby to take us to dinner. Quote: Originally Posted by caribbeanLover Great!! thank you so much, how long roughly does the toast take? 15-30 mins? is this done while we are signing the papers? or right after all that is done? Thanks again for the help! It's allot easier making a time line when you know how it'll work. and if it wasn't for this site I wouldn't know until I got there. I would like to make a programe/welcome letter for the whole week and the wedding

There is a bottle of champagne for the bride, groom and bridal party, and they serve wine to the rest of the guests at the ceremony.
