Sorry I'm so late...it's pretty impossible to get anything done right now since we are in the process of moving, I'm in grad school and work...so I PROMISE I haven't forgotten or purposely neglected yall! Hey girls! Just wanted to share some good news with y'all! We purchased the Deluxe Package last December. It comes with the private dinner for up to 50 people....soooooo - for about 3 months now I've been trying to book our dinner at 8pm after the wedding, pictures, and cocktail. My WC keeps telling me that they can't hold a reservation until 8pm so that I'd have to have it another day at 6pm This didn't make ANY sense to me why we couldn't have dinner at 8....weird. Anyway - this week I turned into 'mini bridezilla' because that is the only thing left to confirm and she kept booking us at times that we would be on excursions, etc.... I received an email from her tonight saying that they would be able to give us the Terraza Lago Terrace on the Sunrise side (YAY!!! by our rooms) with a private buffet for our 37 guests with an oceanview front. She sent me all the menus and said to pick any of them....I was in SHOCK!!! These events costs like $45/person and she is letting that be our dinner party reservation after the wedding!! I am soooo excited!! Here is a pic of the location! We leave on MONDAY!!!! Any questions yall need asked?!? Wedding DAY: June 20, 2008 9 am: Private Breakfast with Dad 11 am: Manicure and Pedicure 12 pm: Hair and Make-up 1 pm: Lunch with the Ladies 3 pm: Dress and ladies picture time 4 pm: Wedding at Bumbglia (sp?) Gazebo 5 pm: All Pictures 6 pm: Cocktail Hour with Dancing etc... 8:30 pm: Private Dinner on the Terrace I CAN'T WAIT!!!! :) :)

I will be on my honeymoon there from June 21-June 26th! When I get back I'll post some pictures for you!

I just received this email from my WC regarding the sand ceremony: "Hi Sharla, If it didnt said something about religion He will read it. He's very kind and I'm sure it will be a pleasure for him to help you. We suggest some of your family to read it, because of course they will have more fluency and it might significate a lot for you. Just let me know and if you can sen the paragraphar so he can practice will be much better. Regards Lily" Hope this helps!

Hey Hey girls - I do need to check into that! I had no idea they wouldn't read something we wrote. I asked if I could bring our own version of wedding vows to be read and she said yes...maybe she was thinking we were going to read them!!! CRAP! Well I'll ask and let you know what she says! Hopefully all goes well or we will be listening to music only during the sand ceremony so it won't be awkward! As far as the sand pouring goes...I'm pretty sure you do it at the same time but I've seen it one at a time as well...only because sometimes two hands can't fit over that tiny hole! I think we will just go with what works best at that moment!

I definitely think sticking to the truth is your best option! We aren't having that problem with our DW but our AHR is completely messed up. People that we sent an invitation to for a RSVP of 2 are RSVP'ing for 6 and sometimes 7!!! It's ridiculous and rude... GOOD LUCK GIRL!

Hey Everyone! I just wanted to share with you the sand ceremony set we will be using in Mexico! My mom just found it today and sent me this picture! I love it...she is having it engraved with our initials and wedding date after we get back from Mexico. We will be using white sand at the bottom (poured by our mothers), the scott and I will pour red and black (our colors). My favorite part is that it comes with a stopper so transporting it back into the U.S. won't be as difficult!! YAY! We also have a paragraph for the judge to read while we pour it... I'll paste that once it's typed up! Let me know what y'all think!!

We gave each of the ladies a page in the book to write memories of us and advice then at the bottom their current address and my MOH wrote what they gave us as a gift on the back. It was very useful for Thank You notes because I had current addresses and what to thank them for all right there in one book! I loved it! We had a seperate cake table with a buffet of different foods for everyone across from that...I didn't want to chance anything happening to our cake!

Yes. We decided to use the resort photog because we are having a "professional" photog at our reception back in Texas. I'm not worried about it at all though...my mom is bringing an awesome camera and Betsy's pictures were great!! I'm just excited that we'll be there in 2 WEEKS!!!! I will most defintely post pictures because I know how much it helps in the planning process! Good luck to everyone!

We are having a fairly large reception the week after our honeymoon, June 28th, back in Texas. It is the same theme as the Mexico wedding but more ‘midsummer nights dream.’ We've done everything ourselves so I have no idea how I haven't lost my mind! Hey everyone! I never have any time to post on here but I definetly want yall to know that I'll post pics and everything once we return. We are having a black and white wedding with red accents. We are having white calla lilies and red roses as our flowers. We bought the deluxe package and have Lily as our WC. My travel agent is Nancy Anduja in Miami. We leave for Mexico on June 16 and are getting married June 20 at 4 pm. We are honeymooning at Secrets Capri (about 30 min south of MP) from June 21 - June 26. Gazebo: Cocktail Hour Venue: Dinner Party Venue: Bridesmaid bouquets: Bridesmaid dresses: Boys Attire: The groom is wearing a black suit with a white collar button up and black satin tie. I stayed at the GP in 2007 and loved it. The beach was great and it was very tropical. Lots of vegetation and iguanas. We went the week after a hurricane and couldn't even tell that it had been hit (besides the leaves on trees) because the workers were amazing. I don't think you can go wrong with GP but def. go with your heart on this one!!

I'm guessing 150 or so. I only have 35 so I've never asked because I know they'll fit in! haha
