No Flower Girl Dilema/Question

Amarillis that's a great idea! Thank you so much. I am so not creative or crafty but I'll have to come up with something. -
When to give BD book?
**TIFFANY** replied to Kristy!'s topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
These are great ideas! I think I'll have one of my photographers bring him the book but I don't want everyone else hanging around when he gets it so we'll have to see how it works out. For the ladies who have already gone through this I would love to see some pictures of your DH's reactions to seeing the books. -
New banners?

It's funny how easily we are pleased. I started noticing them yesterday and keep checking mine to see if it changed. -
No Flower Girl Dilema/Question

Great ideas thanks. I was just thinking that I didn't really want everyone else walking all over them before I even walk down the isle. Just a litte bridezilla moment:) -
No Flower Girl Dilema/Question

So I was originally going to have a flower girl but it's my FSIL's stepdaugther and her mother won't let her go. So now I don't have a flower girl. I want to have rose petals down the aisle but I'm curious who will put the petals down since I don't have a flower girl? Would it be done before everyone walked down or would someone else throw them down before I walk down? What have you ladies done? -
Hi Ladies, I know there are several of us on here that are going to be at this resort in November. I started a thread to get a list of everyone who's going to be there and the dates in November so we can meet up with each other. If you haven't already listed your date check out the link and add your names to the list. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t43375 Thanks, Tiffany

It seems like there will be several people from BDW that will be at the Grand Riviera/Sunset Princess resort during the month of November. I think it would be great to see what the dates that everyone is going to be there are so we can meet up with each other. I'll go first, next person please copy my date and either put yours before or after depending on when your arrive date falls and then the next person can do the same so the last post will hopefully have a list of everyone who's going and the dates they will be there in November. Tiffany & Mario, November 11th-20th, wedding date the 14th

FI and I are returning from Mexico today and I wanted to share my experience at the airport for anyone concerned about getting the red light when going through customs. We got off the plane and went through immigration and they had everyone on the plane fill our a form saying if you have flu like symptons or anything which was pretty weird I mean who is going to say yes? So then after immigration you had to stop and give them the form and they had a thermometor thing that they waved in front of your forhead and took your temperature. After we got our bags you have to send them through the security scanner. Well I put my bag on there and just thought it was for our suitecases so I started walking on to the other end and the guy was telling me I needed to put my purse and other bag on the scanner thing as well but I didn't understand him, neither did my FI who speaks spanish. So once we figured out what he wanted I put my bags on there and as I was approaching the lady who checks your passport and stuff again the guy said something to her. Then I had to push the button and of course I got the red light So in the confusion I put my bag on the table and FI started talking to them in Spanish. They opened my extremely stuffed bag and just put their hands on the sides and let us go! FI thinks it was because he was talking to them in Spanish but I'm not sure. So we start heading to the doors to leave and they call our names. We forgot our passports at the counter in all the confusion! So I just wanted to let you ladies know that it's not all that bad but definetely don't screw around with the people there or because the red light thing is totally rigged! And IF you do get red lighted definetely DON"T forget to grab your passport! We were traveling to see FI family so we rented a car and when you pass through two states you have to push another button and if you get red lighted they stop you. Well guess what it was our red light day...So we get the red light, pulled over to talk to the guy. FI of course talks to him in Spanish and within 1 minute we were on our way to pay the toll and keep going. He didnt even look at anything in our car! Sorry it's so long. I just wanted to tell you ladies about my Cancun red light experience.

Darcy, I think you should get a sexy nurse outfit. They have them for Halloween, you could probably buy one online. Okay forgive me here because I'm drawing a blank on what they are called but the things that go around your neck to check the heart beat and chest stuff, you should bring one of those too that would be fun.

That's a great idea but he doesn't wear a helmet. But even if he did I think it would be hard to get away with it since if it's nice out that day I'm sure he'll be out riding.

We're planning on making a sign that says Shoes Optional and then laminating it and attaching to a stick or something we can put in the sand. That way everyones shoes are not all on top of each other in a basket. My cousin got married in Punta Cana and they didn't have a sign or anything but there was a tree by the ceremony location and people just started taking their shoes off a the tree and then walking down to their seats. It turned out as a great fun photo.

Tammy the pictures look great! I have NO idea yet what I'm bringing to the shoot:) FI really likes soccer so I think I'm going to try to snag one of his soccer shirts/jerseys, he never wears them so I'll have to do some digging to find one, he shouldn't miss it so I'm not too worried about that. He also just got a Harley and I never thought I'd ride but I find myself enjoying riding with him so maybe I'll bring my jacket with and try to incorporate something like that into it. Then of course lingerie. Jillian, that's awesome that there's going to be a Chicago BDW mixer, I'll have to wait until it's closer and maybe I'll try to make it out there after work. Only downside is I live an hour away so would suck driving home afterwards.

How do you get to it from facebook?

Are you sure it was from the storm? Does your tv have a bulb? We have an LCD tv and the bulb goes out every couple years. It costs $200 to replace each time but it's better then having to replace the tv. I'm not sure if plasma's have a bulb. When our bulb goes out the TV won't turn on anymore until we replace it.

Between a Rock and a Hard Place

Have you contacted your mortgage company to see what your "new" rate will be when the arm expires in September? I don't totally know how it all works but you might be surprised that the new rate is even lower then what you are currently paying. We have a 5-year arm that expires next June. We never planned on staying in this house for 5 years so it was a good option for us at the time. Anyways I contacted a loan officer about a month ago so we could refinance to get out of the arm and he told me that if the arm was to expire that day my new rate would be somewhere in the 3% range. From what he told me the new rate is fixed for one year and then it would adjust again. So many your stress with this situation is coming from all the bad things we hear on the news about arms. Check it out with your mortgage company and maybe you don't need to do anything at this point, and maybe your loan payment will even go down. -
Calling all November 2009 Brides!
**TIFFANY** replied to beachbride2009's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
Jamaicabride09, we're date twins! I was so excited today to tell everyone that I only had 6 months to go:) We got engaged at the end of September last year and the time has really flown by. But I had a dream last night that I was headed to Mexico for the wedding and I was upset because I didn't have everything done. I really don't have much left to do. I just need to get more stuff for the OOT bags but I can't really do that yet since I don't have a final count. We bought FI clothes last weekend and decided on the BM dresses as well. So now I don't think I have any big items left still to do. It feels so good! 6 more months until we become Mrs!!!
