I have been wondering about this as well! I have heard many brides say "it was really windy that time of year" - is there a time of year that it is not as windy? I am thinking about getting married there late April... Or is it windy at dusk, and then the wind dies down?? And I was also thinking about having candles on my tables at the beach, tealights in "sheltered" holders and/or hurricanes - any other past brides have experience with this? I wouldn't even be SO disappointed to find out that my candles won't stay lit, but would hate to hear that the wind was so much that it interfered with the fun of the festivities!

People can be offended about all kinds of things, but personally I think this is so cute and not offensive at all! I mean if the photo was of you two in real life, maybe, but it's basically just a cartoon. I would say go for it!

I was thinking about buying some shells for my table settings from here: Sealife coral and seashells, wholesale seashells online, mother of pearl shells They seem to have a really good selection and the prices seem reasonable to me!

Those are very nice vows actually! Personally, I don't think I would worry about writing my own.

Thank you so much for this review and the great pictures Susan! This helps so much, and makes me feel so much more confident in my choice to get married at Dreams! I'm still only in the initial stages of my planning, but I'm pretty sure this is where I want to go. I have a question about your room though (beautiful btw, and 2 floors - wow!). Was the honeymoon suite you stayed in in the pyramid or the tower building? The views looked like they were from the tower, but you mentioned moving over to a master suite in the tower for the wedding, so I assume that your honeymoon suite was on the end of the pyramid or something?

Hello everyone, and thanks for having me! I've already browsed a number of threads on this site and can't wait to be an active member of this forum community both leading up to my wedding and after. My name is Angela and I'm from Vancouver, BC, Canada. I just got engaged February 1st of this year and am not totally sure of a wedding date and location, but FI and I do want a destination wedding and I am thinking April 30, 2010 at Dreams Cancun.
