Hi All! I was wondering if anybody could suggest an affordable and fun charter fishing group? My groom and his friends want to experience the sport fishing that Cabo is so famous for, but they don't want it to break the bank since so many of our guests already paid a lot for the trip down. Any suggestions or reccomendations would be great!! Thx!!

Hi all! Trying to decide on which to use...the Spanish Trio, or the Mariachi. Can anybody explain what the difference is? My wedding is at the Riu Palace so I was also wondering if the Trio/Mariachi band they use are any good?

Hi Denise! Great pics, and everybody looked happy and carefree! I do have a question though; regarding your basket of goodies. . . did you have problems going through customs with those items? I'm planning on doing a welcome bag for all my guests and am worried that Mexican customs might "for some reason" confiscate any, or all of my items. I spent a lot of money on these items and don't want to have wasted my money! Another thing I'm worried about is all the new rules regarding a second (or more) checked on baggage charges. With all the advice against shipping things ahead of time, and with all the baggage I probably know I will end up having, I foresee my time on the plane and at the airport to be an experience I will never forget (not in a good way)! I will be so glad when I can sleep again!

hi all! did anybody have any trouble at customs when they deplaned in cabo? i have a few things i'm bringing in my suitcases for my wedding guests as a sort of welcome bag from us "the couple", to them as a thank you for coming and i'm slightly worried that they might give me trouble because it looks like i'm carrying a store. Also, did anybody go over their max allowable luggage pieces, and if so, what are your options? we're flying into cabo using mexicana and i have a feeling i'll at least go over the weight allowance on one of my luggage pieces and i'm trying to figure out if we are allowed to bring more luggage if we pay for it. thanks! kathryn : }

How does everybody get the hurricanes and votives there? Do you take them in your luggage, ship them, or buy them in Cabo somewhere? I'm worried about going over on the weight of each of my luggage allowances, and would rather buy some of these things there, but if there's a better way that I should know the help and information would be appreciated!! Thanks!

Hi all! When are we expected to sign a contract or make payment for the wedding and reception? Do they require a deposit at any time for private reception locations, etc.? I wouldn't want to lose any of my plans for the ceremony or reception by failing to put down a deposit or sign a contract. Please help!!

I want my guests to be satisfied with their sit-down meal at the reception, however since Riu Palace, or more specifically the Riu chain do not offer a complimentary site inspection and tasting like some other Cabo hotel/resorts do I am going on assumption that the menus provided are tasty (hopefully?). Can any Riu Palace brides give a little input as to the "Private" menu option selections?

Hi all! I was wondering whether it is required to tip the vendors that are included in the cost of the wedding package that has been purchased through the resort that will be hosting the wedding. The caterer is part of the hotel, the music is as well. In addition, what is the normal percentage for tipping for these services. What percentage should be given to the WC? Thank you!

Hi all, I'm at a loss! My wedding gown is not easily packed. Is there a suggested method on how to transport your wedding dress through the airline? Also, for those who are bringing wedding favors for their guests, how do you plan on taking those? I was told by the WC at Riu that it is definately not a good idea to ship anything. . .any suggestions are appreciated!! Thanks!
