why do you girls keep saying 3 months you're freaking me out! it's FOUR months!!! (ok, so my wedding is at the END of may ...) at least one thing got accomplished ... groom attire. he went last weekend finally, and took care of it. of course, he spent more on his attire than i spent on mine (doesn't bother me much, because he will wear his suit again and again ... my dress is a one-time deal) ... BUT, he had been giving me a hard time about hiring a better (and more $$$) photographer than the one our resort's wedding package offers. now that he spent $1200 (yes, you read that right) on his wedding day clothes, you can bet your ass i'm booking the photographer. i'll do it with my money, because in my opinion, the photography is practically THE most important thing! oh, and my matronOH asked for my maidOH's phone number/email, etc. ... which leads me to believe planning is going to begin for a shower or bachelorette party!! funny, but that's the thing that really made me realize how close the wedding is! yikes! it also made me realize i need to start dressing nicer and wearing makeup more regularly, LOL!

looks like you ladies are doing great! i'm in awe of the dedication some of you have to working out. really inspiring! i didn't lose much, but i'll take what i can get! i hadn't been feeling well most of this past week so i wasn't eating very much at all, but i wasn't hitting the gym either. the other thing i haven't really gotten on board with yet is upping my water consumption. there's a water cooler here at work so this week i'm starting to make water my beverage of choice. i find drinking boatloads of water is the single easiest thing that seems to help me the most. i'm not sure if it's because it flushes the system, because it fills me up, or because i have to get up off my butt so many times a day to go down the hall to pee, LOL! keep up the great work ladies ... weeks 2 and 3 can be harsh ...

i'm interested! was going to do something similar myself, but hey, if someone else can save me the trouble, i'm all for it! you can count me in for 50, if it's not too late! i'd love to see the designs as well if it's not too much trouble!

Post Groom and GM attire
cougs replied to TammyWright's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
suddenly my fiance has it in his head that he wants to wear a dark blue suit with a light blue shirt and red tie, as suggested by his (self-proclaimed) fashion guru buddy. there has never been ANY blue in our color scheme (that we chose over a year ago), as i am not a fan. *sigh* the girls dresses are david's bridal apple red. he wanted to wear a bowtie at first, which i nixed. that's the "one veto" that i get ... hope i used it wisely! his feeling is he doesn't get to see my dress so why should i see and/or pick out what he's wearing? i get his point, but honestly, my dress is ivory. bridesmaids' are red. what more does he need to know? i'm afraid we're going to end up looking mighty patriotic with his sudden need to incorporate blue, LOL. -

Thanks for all the suggestions ladies...I will be going through my newly made list after work today to try & narrow down the processional!! sounds great! your wedding is so close! when do you leave??

well it was bound to happen sooner or later ... the first wedding dream/nightmare! it was the day of the wedding and i realized i totally forgot the bose system and my ipod (which is what we're using for all our music)! i was in my dress, running around stressed out and SOBBING LOUDLY when someone fetched tom. he is holding the bose system and says, "it's right here! it was in my carry-on!" and for a second i was thrilled until i realized i was the one with the ipod so we still didn't have ANY music ... and then i FLIP OUT because he's not supposed to see me in the dress! and then i flip some more because it was 10 minutes after the wedding was supposed to start and we have no music and don't know what to do! do we just walk out there to NOTHING? it was all very emotional and dramatic ... "the wedding is RUINED!" sob, sob then i woke up. (my dress wasn't my dress, we weren't even in mexico, and the wedding in the dream was at 3 not 5, so i'm not too worried, LOL!)

you girls with the tickers are freaking me out. how did it get so close? i got engaged in may of 2007!!!! at this point, with the economy, we're really unsure about who all is coming, and our bridal party is in shambles (right now i have 5 girls and 2 guys, and one of those guys is already a stand-in!), so i haven't done anything toward OOT bags or bridal party attire. the girls need to get on it if they are ordering the dresses they picked at davids. i haven't had my first fitting yet. and worst of all, i STILL haven't sent out invites. i skipped STDs to go straight to invites, but that was when i thought i was going to have them out months ago. everyone knows via email and word of mouth, but still! i don't know what my problem is. i'm lucky i still have a fiance. i am the biggest procrastinator in the world, and he loves me anyway!

He is just always trying to tell me to eat more of this or more of that and I keep saying do you know how much fat is in that? To each his own I don't know what Tom is planning on doing, because he said there was still too much junk in the house for him to start yet! So I guess this week he's going to be our human garbage disposal and free us from temptation, LOL. But I totally hear ya. Last time we both tried to diet, a few years ago, he did a variation on Atkins (low carb, high protein) while I loosely followed Weight Watchers (low fat, high fiber). Those two types of diets are almost exact opposites of each other! It was so funny, because I would be like, "I'll trade you a spoonful of fat free chocolate pudding for a piece of cheese!" Goes to show, you always want what you can't have!

Ann, as usual, you're doing a fantastic job. Sorry it can become so difficult sometimes. Know that we are really grateful that you take time out of your days to handle this contest for us! So ladies, how did everyone's first two days go? My start weight was up 2.6 lbs from where I ended BL4 ... not nearly as bad as it could have been! I planned to go to the gym yesterday but never got there. I'm sick, so it's kinda hard to get motivated to go work out. I will absolutely force myself tonight! I can't believe how close the wedding is getting, and I have a lot of pounds to shed! There's no time left for dilly-dallying! Best of luck, everyone! May you all become BIG LOSERS!

Also we're gong to play around with it tonite but it seems that due to the flash there is a glare on my weight so I don't know how well it'll show up... i always took the pics of the scale myself (hey, i should find out how much my camera weighs, lol)! i just hold the camera as still as possible (under my gut, pointed at my feet, lol) and snap. it's digital, so i can see right away if it came out ok or i have to redo. i have a glass scale so i just turn off my flash and make sure there's plenty of light in the room, to avoid the glare. give it a try ... you can probably do it on your own. oh, and i always weigh myself butt naked and first thing in the morning (and don't forget to pee first), LMAO!

i'm so glad i signed up and paid before xmas ... i would have totally forgotten about it! i gained a little back over the holidays, but not too much (at least i don't think so ... i've been afraid of the scale)! this time my fiance says he's going to diet too, which should help a lot. it's a lot easier to eat a salad when you're not sitting next to a guy eating a cheesesteak, LOL! we're going to have one last pizza tonight while watching the flyers game. then it's back on track, and back to the gym (i haven't been there since november)! after all, the wedding is sneaking up on us!
