thanks ladies! like i said though, i have been trying to lose since BDW biggest loser season 3, and we're halfway through season 5! slow and steady wins the race? i hope so! i just keep losing the same 5-10 pounds over and over again ... hopefully this time it just stays off, 'cause i have plenty more to lose just even to be healthy. BL3 (july 16 - september 10): 10.3 lbs lost BL4 (september 24 - november 19): 11.5 lbs lost BL5 (january 7 - present): 11.4 lbs lost ... so far see, if i had kept that weight off in-between seasons, i'd be down 33.2 lbs right now! i could kick myself! definitely doing the best this season ... maybe it's because now the wedding is rapidly approaching? congrats kristie on hitting a milestone yourself! the milestones do somehow help re-motivate, don't they? heck, i'm even gonna go to the gym tonight!

i'm here (just sent you my weigh-in, ann)! i am pleased to report that i have *finally* crossed the 25 lbs lost mark! (and it only took me 3 seasons of biggest loser, LOL!) keep at it ladies! i don't want to win this thing by default because everyone else dropped out!

last night tom and i changed a bunch of our registry items (he didn't like the dishes we picked, and since he's the cook, he gets a big say on kitchen items, LOL) and we added a bunch of stuff too. we are registered at target. the problem is, now it's like almost half the stuff on our registry is only available ONLINE, not in stores. as a shopper, would you find that totally annoying? i'm thinking some people might welcome the chance to shop online, but most people will go to a target store and be pissed that there's not much available in-store. are we like the most annoying couple ever?

i love ross! they are building one next to the new shoprite less than a mile from my house ... i'm in trouble! LOL

oh honey, you are NOT alone! i have been struggling with our stupid invites (because i'm a graphic designer, so i feel like everyone will expect them to be amazing, and they are a hot mess!) ... not to mention, i expected to have them out MONTHS ago (we didn't do STDs because we were going to send invites early, LOL). i just vented about this in the "confessions" thread, and just had a good cry over it with my fiance (or in front of him rather ... he didn't know what to say). so since not even invites are done, i feel like i have NOTHING done. then i go to the "may 2009 brides" thread and i see all the stuff that everyone has accomplished already and i feel like a procrastinating piece of crap. i'm terrified to make a list and see how much i have to do! i too have been trying to be super laid-back, and i think maybe i took it too far? i mean how is all this stuff supposed to get done? and i'm fat and un-tan too. *sigh* good call on the wine ... gotta get me some of that! LOL

we are getting married on a thursday, because we're doing a legal ceremony and needed to be there 4 business days (and all the fridays in may were taken). we figured who cares ... every day is the weekend when you're in paradise, right?

cancunbride is the new shoe goddess, LOL! she keeps posting all these absolutely awesome shoes!

i confess that i've let myself get too obsessed with and upset over our invitations. i'm a graphic designer, so i feel like they have to be totally amazing. everyone will expect them to be. problem is, they are NOT. i designed them specifically for this digital output that our print guy does that is super cheap ... he said he could do multiple colors ... well, long story short, he couldn't match my colors using that process AT ALL (like not even close), so now i struggled printing stuff out myself at work after hours (every day for about 2 weeks now!). it was seriously like every single sheet of cardstock got jammed and had to be resent to print, or it would come out streaky or splotchy, and the two-sided stuff isn't lined up, so now when it's trimmed it's going to be all crooked ... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!!! i've been in tears nearly every day trying to get these done. i'm sure *some* of it is just me being super picky but they are just a NIGHTMARE. i confess that i wish i had just bought a martha stewart kit, printed our info down the center, and was done with it. they would have been beautiful, and more importantly, they would have been FINISHED! sorry, that was way longer a rant than i expected!

oh men don't *think* they have opinions, but it's because they have no idea all the choices that need to be made. like you said, if you just picked everything yourself, he'd be sure to disagree with your choices when it's too late! i think in general they don't know what they WANT, but they sure as hell know what they DON'T want. i would say you could try offering up something totally ugly or ridiculous to see if he has an opinion on that or if he's even paying attention really, but if you have luck like mine, he'd probably be like, "I LOVE IT!" LOL

yeah my fiance is the same way about the shoes ... there's NO WAY he will let sand touch his feet. he's going to be in dress shoes. good thing we're in a gazebo and not on the beach! (actually, this is part of the reason we chose dreams cancun ... he's *that* adamant about not touching sand, LOL!) i just ordered these shirts (online) for the groomsmen ... i'm hoping they look ok when i see them in person. i had a hard time finding something good for everyone because the best man is a 3X ... every time i found something i like, it only came up to 2X. these shirts have a subtle woven stripe: Stacy Adams Button Down Woven Shirt - at Sears.com litl_april, i looked at those shirts for awhile too (but cream & red), but then both my and my fiance's attire ended up being fancier than we thought it would be, and i didn't think they would "go" anymore.

i think it's amazing that your wedding is in turkey! do you or your fiance have family there? my fiance went to turkey this past may for 10 days with school and *loved* it ... he swears we'll go there together some day! a tiny "evil eye" can be your "something blue" ... those things are *everywhere* in turkey! best of luck with your planning (and money-saving!) ... whoever attends is going to have the trip of a lifetime!
