i have no choice but to use waterproof everyday, as i'm a huge crybaby over everything both happy and sad, lol. my eyes tear when i'm laughing, when i'm coughing/sneezing ... just about anything ... i think i have overactive tear ducts! someone recommended blinc kiss me mascara which makes these little tubes around your lashes and requires soap, water, and light pressure to come off. i think one of the regular brands like revlon or loreal just made a version of this too.

If this goes on long enough, some of these starfish are going to cover borrowed, blue AND old. i don't think dc22173's starfish could be guaranteed to make it to you in time, otherwise i'd say you could borrow it before i do! not sure when she comes home or when you leave?

Anyone Using Ring Bearer Shell Instead Of Pillow?
cougs replied to Martha's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
figure i'd post this here instead of starting a new thread ... i absolutely LOVE this little trinket box for the ringbearer to carry our rings in: Austrian Crystal Jewelry Trinket Box NIB Scallop Shell - eBay (item 370154913318 end time Mar-06-09 18:04:31 PST) but not sure i wanna spend $30 on it, when a simple pillow or DIY ring shell would be so much cheaper. plus it's pretty tiny. i would probably still want to mount it on something. what do you ladies think? should i just buy it and save myself the DIY? lol i know $30 isn't like a ton of money, but i've been spending on stupid stuff lately! -
almost forgot to send in my weight again! we had a snow day off work on monday and the three-day weekend threw me off. i gained, but managed to just barely hang on to my 25 lbs. lost! word to the wise: do not spend an entire weekend drinking and still expect to lose weight ... you WILL be disappointed, LOL!

what should my dad wear?
cougs replied to Jacqueline's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
it's funny because my mom just asked me what the guys are wearing and if i wanted my dad to match them ... i thought it was the strangest thing. why would my dad match the groomsmen if my mom doesn't match the bridesmaids? i agree with the previous poster, just make sure he doesn't clash with what your mom is wearing, since they will probably be in several photos together! -

what should my dad wear?
cougs replied to Jacqueline's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
i would put him in the same tux the guys are wearing, but different vest and tie, or just a gray suit. -
Do you stalk your registries?
cougs replied to Alyssa's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
i have totally peeked. so far we've gotten a quesadilla maker, a stock pot, and a folding tray table set! in my defense, i had to see what had already been purchased because we were changing our dishes (fiance wasn't thrilled with them, and he does the cooking so he gets a say, LOL)! we couldn't really change them if people had already started buying, ya know? -

Second, if we do the recorded music, is it wrong to have different songs (like the ones you girls are talking about) - or do we need to go the traditional route? i don't know about in mexico, but in the US as far as i know the catholic church will not allow secular music. i think you may be forced to go traditional. might be worth it ... an old mexican cathedral sounds beautiful!

I think this would be really cool for the future brides. What do you think? that's awesome, and i love the idea of using a journal to track the little guy's travels! thank you SO much! i will pm my mailing address. any idea of how much it will cost to ship it to NJ (08077)? i'd be happy to paypal you the cost. do you have a picture of it? looks like it would go to me (mummergirl), then phillybride, and then kathleenanddan! christinamaria22, i would pass it to you before phillybride, but i don't return from cancun until may 30th ... that cuts it too close, right?

best idea ever ... we're buying it!

sounds like something went wrong when creating the pdf ... your proportions shouldn't change at all, and your fonts should be embedded (if they were properly embedded, it wouldn't matter whether it was mac or pc, because the pdf is basically one image). i don't know what program you used or how you converted it, so i can't be much help. if you have photoshop, and the pdf looks ok on your end, try opening the pdf in photoshop, flattening the image and saving it as a tiff or eps file (be sure to save it as a copy with a different file name, because once flattened, it will no longer be editable). then your file, fonts and all, will be just a single image, and anyone should be able to print it.

phillybride, when i click that link, it takes me to a gallery of pics, and the first one open is of the pool, not the spa area! also, here's a review from someone who used the spa area for their reception. maybe you can PM her for pics? http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t35127 edited to add THIS is the review (and pics) you were looking for! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t16783-2

What day of the week are you getting married in Mexico?

ours is the pogues "love you till the end" ... tho it could have easily been jack johnson "better together," aqualung "brighter than sunshine," ingrid michaelson "the way i am," the weepies "somebody loved," van morrison "someone like you" or something more upbeat like spiral staircase "more today than yesterday." LOL too many good songs and i'm AWFUL at decision-making ... good thing tom is picky and has very different taste from me! his making it hard actually made it easier!

i received mine today! thanks SO much for organizing and taking care of this ... every little thing checked off the list helps my sanity!

Thanks in advance. i don't think you'll lose your date, sadly only because there won't be anyone there to give your date away! this is crazy! they must have an interim wedding coordinator ... there's no way they can go without one for over a month!

What are the Random Things Your FI/DH put his foot down about**
cougs replied to Erika J's topic in Random Thoughts
right! it is absolutely supposed to be someone "giving you away" to your fiance and his family, and therefore shouldn't be someone from his family. good call, harty! i know lots of people who had their mothers give them away, my niece had my dad (her grandfather) give her away, etc. it should be someone you're close with ... whatever will be most meaningful for YOU. here's an idea: tell him you want your cousin to give you away, but offer to do the "father/daughter" dance with his dad! maybe that will help appease him and the groomzilla horns will go away? -

how can you never have seen when harry met sally? i just found out tom has never seen it either! what's up with that? god, i love that movie, especially the vignettes of the old couples. Quote: Strange how we're all feeling the same way at the same time. It's like syncing up on your periods or something! LMAO!!! and don't feel bad about not taking your dress to be altered yet ... mine's not even shipping from the manufacturer until late march! (another unrelated wedding freakout, lol). yamille, thanks for the weight-loss congrats ... too bad it's taken me since JULY, lol! jamielynne, i don't know if the list will help ... i tried to make one last night and it just freaked me out more! the only upside was i had no idea i had already purchased so much OOT bag stuff! we'll just all have to keep accepting these and these and everything will be ok!
