I am also freakign out that it will need many alterations. I just keep telling me that they deal with this all the time... yeah i didn't order mine as early as you did (nov. 1st for me) ... it's just adding the lateness to the poor reviews, plus i know that they ordered 2 sizes bigger than what i had on that day just because the back wouldn't zipper (about 2 inches at the top!). i didn't think that warranted 2 sizes, when i told them i was losing weight! i am at least 15 lbs. lighter than i was when i ordered it. i'm afraid alterations are going to be a b*tch because the whole top is all beaded, and we all know may/june is the busiest wedding season! they don't seem concerned at all about when my dress is coming in ... told me it was totally normal and i would have plenty of time for alterations ... just hope they are right! funniest thing of all is that i lied and told them my wedding date was the 8th, not 28th, so what the heck are they waiting for? half of the may BDW brides have had all their fittings already!

oh no! does BL5 actually end on april fools' day? haha ... watch out, ann, there could be some trickery! lol i guess i probably *should* participate in BL6 just to keep on track (don't want to start gaining weight back now!), but my wedding will be right smack in the middle of it. let me just come clean and say there's no way in hell i will watch what i eat (not even a little) on vacation at an all-inclusive!

i am starting to officially panic at how much i have left to do. i am terrified that my dress is just not going to come in on time to do all the alterations (they keep telling me it will ship from the manufacturer in late march ... um, that's now, right?). i guess i'm worried because the bridal shop had really bad reviews online, but i went there anyway and ended up having a really good experience with them the day i found my dress and ordered it. i'm beginning to think maybe the crappy part comes now? (thank you, mom, for the worrying gene you passed along to me!) the other biggie is that i bought a bunch of OOT stuff a LONG time ago, and apparently underestimated how much i would need, since suddenly EVERYONE is coming. i can fix not having enough actual bags by buying different, better ones for the bridal party. but all the other stuff requires a bunch of running around ... ugh!

ladies, i recently stumbled upon a girl i graduated high school with on facebook, and it turns out she has relocated to los angeles (opposite coast), where she is now a photographer. she does what is (in my opinion) very nice, very classy, boudoir work. i have no idea of her prices but i thought i'd point out her work in case anyone is looking for a photographer in that area: Christa Meola she recently did a session for her MOM, who looks amazing, but make sure you scroll all the way down the opening page to get past the kid pics to more boudoir ... christa even provides some tips for getting great pics (she has a sense of humor, she suggests alcohol)!

thanks so much, ladies! i think 30 people might be a little much for one long table, so i'm pretty sure i *will* end up with round tables (they fit 6-10, right?) & a sweetheart table. kat, looks like i pictured what you were describing correctly, that they put one table under each arbor (or whatever you'd call those things), and since stacey had more tables, some of them couldn't be underneath. i agree with kat, having the sweetheart table set where your back is to the water/pool (like stacey) would make for better pics! you've both been so helpful!

Sand Ceremony Set
cougs replied to BlissfulMsMiranda's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
thanks for posting links to the DIY sandframe ... i saw that a long time ago but ruled it out since i didn't think i had a good pic to use. a few of you suggested using my invitation, which i think is a great idea, so it looks like i'll be adding this to my DIY list now! -

wow you actually got a good amount of answers! LOL ... it's a sin how easily impressed we are! for anyone who had their reception on the tower terrace and had just one long table, where did bride & groom sit? in the middle? on one end? or did the two of you have a separate sweetheart table? did you have your coupled guests sit across from each other or next to each other? i'm so confused about how to do my seating chart! just went out to dinner with 16 people from tom's family over the weekend, and it felt so crowded sitting at a long table! i can't imagine what it will be like in a big wedding dress and with 30 people!

I will post my pictures when I get them back later this week, hopefully you can see her work on VANESSA VARGAS PHOTOGRAPHY WOW ... how were her prices? her work is GORGEOUS! it's too late for me (already hired moments that matter) but i'm sure others will want the info! -

Thanks in advance Tracy juan navarro is the included photographer, and all that is "included" is about 1hr. of photography (ceremony only), 36 prints. you can add more time/prints/photos on disc, but at a price. i personally decided if i was going to spend more money anyway, then i might as well hire a photographer whose work i liked better. check out his site to get a feel for his style, and contact your WC for the current prices for package additions. only you will know whether he is right for you or not! -
Question for Ivory Dress Brides
cougs replied to faithers81's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
ivory is going to look almost white when you put it in the bright sun anyway, but tan with ivory will blend very nicely. you have nothing to worry about! -
congrats!!!! you are definitely doing it the right way as well! there is enough stress in wedding planning without over-stressing about losing weight.
