  6. i love that swimdress (the one with the tiny v at the cleav and strap that goes around the neck) ... but i don't find it supportive in the boobs AT ALL because like most one-piece things, for it to fit the bottom half of me, it's WAY too big on top. i think it would look great if i was a DDD, lol, but when you wear an 18 and are barely a saggy C, it ain't happening. i didn't return it because i needed a bandeau swimsuit and had run out of time to find one before my trip. the suit is SO cute though, and the shape fx stuff is great. lots of compliments on it even though it didn't really fit. i'm sad because i do love it. a size smaller would probably be too tight everywhere else. guess i'll have to have it taken in ... but honestly, who does that for a swimsuit?

  9. i confess that i did pretty much NO work today. too much BDW, looking at family's pics from the wedding trip, chit-chatting with coworkers, etc. Quote: Originally Posted by jerseykitten I confess that even though I lost my job in March, I don't really have the desire to look for a new one. 10. you looked beautiful and your flowers are GORGEOUS! i was really pleased with mine as well (not that you'd know that because i'm a slacker and STILL haven't done my review!!!) haha i love that you joked with claudia about getting stuck in the elevator the day of my wedding ... told ya she was freaked out! she is the sweetest little thing, isn't she? so glad you had a great wedding ... you said you took pics out by the lighthouse with juan navarro? had you upgraded your photo package from what was included? it was my understanding that what was included was just the ceremony. anyway, we had the same thing happen with the timing ... ceremony started around 5:25 instead of 5 and so we ended up with an amazing sunset for our pics. they say all things happen for a reason! CONGRATS!!!!!!!!
  11. champs sounds good to me! you're talking about the one by IKEA on delaware ave, right? i think we'd be fine even at 4 if the game doesn't start until 7.

I thought most resorts gave drinks in dinky plastic cups?!?! Those of you who have been to Dreams...do you think the cups will be useful? Or should I order more and use them at the AHR?!?! Opinions wanted! cassondra, this is the kind of glass most of our drinks were served in. it's plenty large. however, i did see some chicks at the swimup bar who were using dreams travel mugs they bought in the gift shop tho ... they felt it was just more sanitary to use their own mug (their words). are your steins personalized? i think your guests will appreciate the souvenir anyway, even if they aren't entirely "necessary," KWIM? although if they take up a lot of space, once you start packing up all your stuff you might think twice, lol!

  14. p.s. i hear all the best things about coco bongo, and it's definitely within walking distance (as are the other clubs), as long as you have walking-type shoes on. with a group, i don't think you will feel unsafe walking there at night at all.

Did you guys go to any of the night clubs? if your rehearsal is on tuesday night, that's when they do the mexican night on the lagoon beach. the buffet is moved out there and there's a mexican/mayan folklore show. the dinner starts at a specific time, so i'm sure if you got there first at opening time, you could have your whole party seated easily. that said, most of my guests didn't really care for the food at mexican night. weird, mexicans can't do mexican food?!?! we got there late, heard how no one really liked it, and went to himitsu instead, so i can't verify. (the caribbean night with the fire show on friday night was much better--both the food and the entertainment). we didn't go to any of the clubs down the strip (had hardly any young people with us) but i *really* wish we had. one of my few wedding week regrets! azucar was closed all week ... i guess not enough people to warrant opening because of swine flu. we were really lacking a late-night bar/place to dance.
  16. i confess that i get a little misty-eyed every time i read the quote in josie's siggy ... so sweet!

My FI's parents just wanted to do a little something as a thank you for everyone that is making the journey down to share in our wedding. I am not worried about it taking away from the wedding at all. That will be a special day no matter what we do during the week. Plus, we were thinking that we'd all have dinner together and then separate for our bachelor/bachelorette parties:) if only a few people would be left out then yeah you kinda have to have everyone. LOVE the idea of separating for your bachelor/bachelorette parties afterward ... as long as it's not the night before the wedding ... that could make for a difficult, hungover wedding day!

  19. i confess that this: There are no subscribed threads to display in this folder for this time period. makes me way sadder than it should, LOL! refresh! refresh!
  20. that's exciting! forever 21 has cute stuff, but obviously never anything i could have fit into before!

  22. cassondra, you can fit 6-10 at a round table. the most i had at a table was 8 and they looked very comfortable, not squished. 10 might have been a bit much. if you have kids going, i suggest doing a separate kids' table (unless they are too young for that). it worked out awesomely at my wedding. we only had 4 of them, so claudia gave them one small square table to themselves. the adults appreciated not being seated with their kids, and mostly, it just made it much easier for me to divide our guests up into 4 round tables. mc5363, i thought about doing one of those dinner cruises but it never happened. also, i was a little afraid that if we did that for a rehearsal, it might seem more "special" than the actual wedding dinner, kwim? we ended up not doing an organized rehearsal dinner at all, but most of us ate together that night.
  23. jen, the exchange rate was about 12.5 when i was there (it changed slightly, daily). honestly, i'm going to sound like some stupid 1950s wife here, but tom took care of the bill so i have no idea. i do remember that the bill was in pesos, so it looked ENORMOUS, lol ... tom did a double-take! we never really had a firm total on contract going in, because our final number of guests had changed quite a bit (additional costs for cocktail hour & dinner), and we also added bouquets, bouts, and upgraded cake ... so there was no surprise when our total was a little higher. simbasim, CONGRATS MRS! welcome back ... can't wait to see pics!
  24. jolo, i am practically in tears! LMFAO! thanks for sharing! p.s. the spanx i have are NOT crotchless, which is why i knew i couldn't wear them on wedding day! wish i had some crotchless ones!
  25. oh lisa! it's sooooo gorgeous!!! how did you manage to get such a talented bunch of people all in one family? i just looked at your engagement photos (so cute! love the bathing suits in the snow!), and they are just fabulous--taken by a family member! now your aunt is creating this beautiful gown for you ... i have to say, i'm jealous! p.s. you are incredibly gorgeous ... such a great smile!
