steph OMG WTF?!?! what an ASSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! he could have just said he wasn't interested. what a rude facker! i am as insulted by the questions about your budget as i am by the weight comments! i would definitely tell him that his response will be posted on this forum and that reaction you've gotten from many fellow brides is that he was extremely rude and unprofessional. i would thank him for being so honest and blunt in his reply, because it let you know that he is not the type of individual you would ever want to associate with, let alone on your most important wedding day. also, let him know the facts: a great photographer could create stunning images no matter what the budget of the wedding, no matter what the couple looks like! the reality is that NOT every bride is a size 2 with a platinum-wedding budget. he would actually probably get MORE business by having more realistic-looking women in his portfolio, as women are more likely to be able to relate and picture what their own wedding could look like that way.

hey, i hear our own curvacious lady scubadiva won the latest biggest loser contest! congrats!!!!! not sure if we should allow you to post here anymore! jk! great job! i made sure i bought the body glide chub rub stuff before our ireland trip, but then never used it and never experienced any chafing despite all the walking. i swear ALL of ireland is UPHILL! LOL! i was huffing and puffing pretty embarassingly at times ... need to do something about that! having curves is one thing, but being so out of shape that you're panting like a dog is another.

wow kate! i am the worst liar/secret-keeper EVER, which is why i had no choice but to do the legal ceremony in mexico! NaM, he sounds like a total loser. i don't understand how anyone can be comfortable with doing that to their parents. i mean, if you're not going to respect them, at least have some self-respect. pa-thet-ic!

Tom went nuts on himself tho ... his stuff came from Boyd's in Philly.

LOL wear them for the ceremony and pics ... then LOSE 'EM for the reception! (lol, i've actually done this at other people's weddings ... about halfway thru the reception when i'm getting drunk and sweaty, it's time for the ol' trip to the ladies' room to lose the annoying spanx/pantyhose/etc.!)

oh what the hell?!?! you ladies are making me cry! AGAIN! lol ... love this site! 1) the power going out in the hour preceding the ceremony. there were no lights, no air conditioning, no PHONES, no elevators, and worst of all, i could hear the alarm in the elevator being rung frantically! we were on the 9th floor and it was *exactly* the time that the photographer, my bridesmaids, the moms, and grandmom were supposed to be coming up to the room. my mom and DH's grandmother were in wheelchairs, and i started to worry that they wouldn't even be able to get from their rooms to the ceremony! way to raise the anxiety level right before the wedding, huh? my bms and mom eventually made it up to the room while the power briefly came back on, and it turned out it was my poor WC who was stuck in the elevator (i think she's scarred for life)! it all worked out fine tho ... the ceremony's late start actually resulted in *perfect* timing for sunset photos afterward! 2) holding it all together until just seconds before i walked down the aisle. i guess the anxiety of the last hour finally got to me and i lost it ... tears totally uncontrollably streaming down my face! my dad wouldn't look at me and said, "knock it off now! if you get me started, i'm going to be embarrassed!" LOL ... i collected myself and those were the last tears i shed ... i laughed SO much throughout the ceremony! (big surprise because i am such a crier!) 3) wiping sweat from DH's face knowing full well it would look as though i was wiping his tears away in pictures, LOL! 4) totally over-pouring the sand in our sand ceremony and being afraid to let go of the sand-filled funnel for fear it would dump all over the place! 5) the officiant pronouncing us "mr. & mrs. charles conroy" (charles is tom's middle name ... but also the best man's name! BM was wondering if he had signed the wrong line and we had accidentally just gotten married!) 6) dancing with dad, afraid i might lose my composure, until i looked over and saw my two sisters BAWLING ... it totally cracked me up! 7) flower girl asking if she could be my flower girl every time i got married. listening to DH start snoring a split-second after asking if i was ok with saving the "wedding night" for the next morning, LOL! longest post ever! my apologies ... i just have so many moments that stand out! -
love the pattern ... i almost bought a dress with patterned material like that ... SO perfect for a DW! you look amazing, and i'm totally jealous that you can pull off that style dress because i sure couldn't! LOL! your FI's jaw is gonna drop when he sees you coming down the aisle in that! p.s. where exactly is your stomach swollen?!?! you must be smoking something!

our families are apparently technology-challenged, because only a handful have been able to "figure out" how to use the share site. i keep getting emails saying, "i can't figure that out so i'm just gonna post them on facebook." well that's nice and all, but the problem with that is facebook compresses them so no one will be able to order prints from those! and here i thought shutterfly was so simple and straightforward. i just don't get what their problem is! can't teach old dogs new tricks i suppose. ayita, your photos are GORGEOUS ... everything is so bright, colorful, and beautiful that it almost looks faked, LOL! congrats again!
