If I'm on a low gi/gl day I do the same but add raspberries, if I'm on a high gi/gl day, I do the same but instead of raspberries, I put in a whole banana. It's pretty basic but it works for me. They're definitely better with the fruit in them lol. yeah i get the whole portion method ... just wasn't clear on the shakes, since i'm sure the nutritional makeup of one scoop of powder varies from brand to brand. but the addition of fruit makes perfect sense and sounds like it will definitely make things more palatable!

haha kathy! and just jump right back in there! we heart you! i confess that i just read a thread about uggs that turned out (much to my dismay) to be people who actually LOVE uggs, not hate them, like i do. and then i browsed thru it and the ugg-lovers were all my favorite girls from the shout box thread. how can i be friends with ugg-lovers?!?!? yikes!!!

lisa, thanks for directing me here. like i told you in the curvacious thread, i've been waiting to start when BL7 starts up, but now that feels more like i'm just procrastinating, since i'm not sure there will be another season of BL at all. i am curious about the protein shakes, because no two are the same. i find it weird that the diet just mentions "protein shake" without saying what the total calories or nutritional breakdown of said shake should be, KWIM? especially for something you're supposed to have before bed! anyway, DH and i just got a BJ's membership (it's a bulk store like costco), so i'll probably look for a good shake mix there. and lisa ... ewwwww cottage cheese ... BARF! i agree with kathy ... it's a texture thing!

aw yael, i'm sure you'll get your banner soon! and i confess that i am mostly just posting this so that this thread gets back into my subscribed threads. i've missed it! not sure when/how i unsubscribed?

lisa, are you doing the protein shakes before bed? and if so, which ones did you buy (and do they taste like ass)? LOL i bought a couple things from faith 21 last night ... i'll let you ladies know how it goes with the sizes. i got a few tops and a pair of pants (i'm almost certain the pants won't fit ... they never do! can't believe i ordered a pair online). the stuff is cheap tho (hoping it doesn't *look* cheap), and if you order over $75, shipping is free.

i'd been waiting for BL7 to start up before i started "cheat your way thin," but it's not looking like it's going to happen, and at this point i'm just procrastinating, lol. seems like a reasonable diet ... you get to eat 5 times a day and have one day per week to eat whatever you want ... sounds good to me (haha except for all those carb-free days ... ugh). erika, thanks for posting your shopping experiences with faith 21. i'm thinking of ordering some stuff. i feel justified now since i just got rid of two huge bags of clothes.

LOL according to josie, this has been approved by the mods, but you may want to check to be sure first. then you should start a whole new thread for BL7, explaining that it's just for fun with no monetary prize, list the rules, etc. let's see how many people will do it when the only prize is a better bod!
-
go mods! you really do a great job with the forum, and having participated in 3 seasons of BL myself, i can attest that ann really sacrificed a lot of her "spare" time and worked very hard to keep the contest running fairly! would any mod be interested in running a contest if the only prize was a special BL banner (kinda like the MotM contests)? and would people even still want to participate for the comradery and support, if there was no monetary prize? i'm just throwing the idea out there because i imagine the drama of last season was inspired by the high prize amount (and maybe the inclusion of non-forum members). in my mind, a contest that is just for FUN (and health!) could be just as beneficial to our forum community and the contest participants.

awww thanks nikki! i don't deserve it tho ... aside from the shout box i am a bad BDWer. i still never posted my review. heck, i never even posted a planning thread. i'm a mess. and i'm LOLing because it looks like all the girls from the shout box are all nominating each other! i seriously think every single one of us is represented here in the noms!

ooooh men just suck, don't they? i swear DH gave up sugar (mostly) and white flour. that's it. still eats everything he wants, just needs to eat wheat bread. and he lost like 15 lbs in the first 2 weeks. jerkoff.

i too found my photographer (moments that matter) thanks to this forum, and they were wonderful to work with, and the complete opposite of this douche. they went out of their way to send me emails (quoted below) to help put my mind at ease about the fact that i am NOT a model with a huge budget: "I have to tell you that we have photographed brides that look fantastic and gorgeous but only manage to capture images that are less than magical. It is not your size or looks that make fantastic images! It is the joy and happiness that you feel and let show at any given moment that make pictures special and beautiful. It is our job to find those "moments" and capture them for you... and we will! It is your job to feel happy, express your love and have fun... the rest is easy!!!" i have to say they were right, and were absolutely successful. i had to look at my pics about a million times before i even noticed my back fat, LOL. all i could see was the pure joy of the day. steph, since you're thinking of taking a U.S. photog with you, have you contacted jeremy gilliam (i think that's his name)? he did great work for kat's wedding. -

well done, steph! -
for what it's worth, i think it's cute! i never shopped at forever 21 (it didn't exist yet when i was last skinny enough to wear it, lol!) ... their stuff seems very affordable and trendy ... i found a store nearby that carries the faith 21 line, so maybe i'll go check it out. they have like NOTHING in the pants category tho. and what is up with all the mini-dresses for plus size girls? not one dress even comes CLOSE to the knees! some of them were so short i would call them baby-doll tops, LOL!

yeah i was wondering about that ... who takes a job as a "portfolio building experience" off the bat? isn't EVERY job a potential portfolio builder? you said he already gave you a price ... was that dependent on your being attractive enough for him? if he would do it at that price regardless, then there was no need to voice those rude opinions. he could have just done the job, and if he deemed none of the shots portfolio-worthy, then so be it. what-ev. anyway, he's a jerk and doesn't deserve any more of our time. back to swimsuits, chub-rub, and custom-made wedding dresses!
