hi lindsay! there are plenty of married ladies who still hang around, myself included (and i've been married a year and a half)! <-- haha maybe i should get a life? there are a lot of the threads geared toward the "already married," but they aren't locked or private. most of them can be found in the chit-chat section: http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/list/50 the official shout box thread functions kinda like a chat-room and a lot of the ladies in there (probably the majority?) are already married. most of us had a void to fill once the wedding planning was over and done with, and wanted to keep in touch with the friends we'd made here in the process. many of us have met in real life or have added each other on facebook. also in the chit-chat area of the forum, you'll find TTC/mommies-to-be/parenting threads, recipes, home decorating, pets, book clubs, venting about in-laws/marital issues ... you name it! i hope you can find some threads that interest you now that you're a mrs! and good luck TTC!

I should also note that if EVERY SINGLE POST on the forum contained a quote, I'd feel like I was constantly reading the same things over and over and over again. And, the forum would get unbelievably bogged down with all the redundant info. That's why stuff is divided into threads. If a person replies in a certain thread, it's to be assumed that their comment has something to do with that topic, no? The exception to this might be the long chit-chat threads but honestly they function more like chatrooms.

Yeah, but replies are usually posted within just a post or two of the one they're referencing (and if not, then they *should* quote it so it makes sense), so I guess I'm just not sure why you find the convo difficult to follow? They read from top to bottom, from earliest to most recent, soooo ...

if you want to reference a post, hit "quote." if you want to reference several posts in your reply, hit "multi" on each one and on the last one hit "quote" and they will all show up in your reply box. Â in any post containing a quote, you will see what looks like a little speech bubble and arrow next to the quoted person's name. click that, and it will take you back to the exact post that was quoted.

bumping this old thread since halloween is coming and falls on a weekend, so that means parties! i'm all hyped up for boardwalk empire, so i'll have that to occupy my sunday nights. Â in the meantime i've been going slowly on the books to try to make them last as long as humanly possible! but it's hard bc they are such easy reads.

so what did you girls think of the finale? i was thinking they could have ended it at least 5 times before the  off to fairyland ending that they chose. seemed a tad anticlimactic after all that happened! i spoiler-texted it just in case anyone hasn't had a chance to watch it yet.  do we REALLY have to wait now for another season? booooooooo so sad.

i think you can have anyone you want officiate if it is only symbolic. i know for a fact a friend of mine had her brother officiate at dreams CABO for their symbolic ceremony, so i imagine the same can be said for cancun. i think the only thing they might question is the length of your ceremony (since they'd have no control over that if they didn't provide the officiant) because there might be other weddings on your date. i would still send the question to claudia to get the approval in writing (even tho the answer might take weeks).

I'm just curious whether there will be enough space for 87 *people* if there isn't even enough room for 40 chairs. A chair doesn't take up really any more room than a guest does.
