aww don't beat yourself up over it! having wisdom teeth removed is no joke! i think if you've been even trying at all to stick to the diet thru all that then you're doing pretty damn well. you know if nothing else you're not overeating! i think if ice cream is what you can handle then try buying the "carb smart" kind that breyers makes. keep up the protein shakes too. and probably the most important thing is making sure you have *something* every 3 hours to help keep your metabolism pumped. i'm sure you haven't totally ruined your diet. just get back on the horse whenever you're up to it. everyone has off days and you have a good excuse!

haha "twitching eye" ... yeah the last few months will flit away too! watch out! you're already losing anyway ... you don't need us! congrats on your losses thus far! i haven't posted about clothes shopping in this thread in awhile. i recently found that because i'm smaller on top i can wear some XL shirts instead of 1X from the plus section (where i have to buy the rest of my clothes). i also bought some dresses that are size 16 woot (only because they have super full skirts, but whatever! lol). anyway, i know a lot of you have had success buying stuff from newport news. i bought two tops today and tried buying from the "regular" sizes instead of the "women's" sizes. i'll let you know how it goes!

you know it, lisa! LOL but seriously i did 3 seasons of it in the past, but not the most recent season. apparently there was all kinds of drama and suspected cheating and the contest was almost no more because of it. i just really don't want to see that happen, because i think the contest is such a good motivator and the ladies of this forum are all such a wonderful support system and great friends. so we got the mods to allow the contest to continue but only if there were no monetary prize. i think it will result in a more genuine group who are really there to support each other's strides toward healthier weight, with no ulterior motives. unless you count the burning desire for the "biggest loser avatar" that goes to the winner, LOL.

yeah ginalyn the weekly weigh ins were only your feet on the scale, but before and after pics were full body. have we decided the before & afters were mandatory to be sent to at least you? i guess i can live with that (you're the one who will suffer, lol) but i'd rather not post them online unless i'm pretty well clothing covered, kwim?

What's something you saw at a wedding that made you swear...
cougs replied to yamille's topic in Random Thoughts
then again, gifts are usually cash in card, and upward of $100. still no one even breaks even unless their parents or someone else paid for the wedding, considering the "average" wedding reception costs at LEAST $100 per head. so if a couple comes and hands you $100 check, you still lost $100. it's stupid really. thank god for DWs! -

wow if i were a newfie i probably would have been married at home! i can't believe open bars are rare there! they are STANDARD here ... like if you can't afford an open bar for your guests then just elope because all your family and friends will think you're cheap as hell. we sure as hell couldn't afford it ... thus the DW! and amanda, we don't "sip" either so that's why it was at an AI! i can't imagine having to pay for soft drinks tho. i think i would have walked out. seriously. -
hi ladies! wondering if any of you are interested in participating in biggest loser season 7? no money on the line this time ... just some fun, motivation, and support from your bdw ladies! it starts wednesday, sept 23rd! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...142#post978684

so are *these* the books you're all talking about? Amazon.com: Sookie Stackhouse, Books 1-7 (9780441017775): Charlaine Harris: Books because if so that's a great price. i think i may just have to buy them.
-
kathy, i don't see why ginalyn or anyone else would have a problem with that. you just need to send it IN on wednesdays. yay for all the shoutbox girls who are participating!
-
i think jason is definitely totally human. they've never let on that he had any special power or anything. you girls are killing me with all your references from the books. i'm so lost. i thought bill/jessica was just a father/daughter moment. he was unusually nice to her because he had engagement on the brain and she was unusually awkward because she was lying to him and totally going against everything he was trying to teach her about not feeding on humans.

congrats on the losses girls. just want to direct you all to the biggest loser challenge which is finally going to start up on september 23rd. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...142#post978684 there is no money on the line this season, just the glory of being the biggest loser and a special avatar/banner for the winner. the biggest benefits of participating: accountability, and motivation from your fellow ladies! i've been holding off starting this diet forever because i wanted to do it for biggest loser. my only problem is weigh-ins are wednesdays, and isn't that a crappy day to have as cheat day? i assume most of you do cheat day on the weekend. i'm sure you're all guilty of weighing midweek right? how has your mid-week weight compared to morning-of-cheat-day weight?
-
it wasn't that great an episode but it did have some classic lines! LOL "i'd wear him like a scrunchie" had me rolling, as did "i love the smell of nailpolish in the morning" and omg "worship him, bitches!" but my fave of the night was: "you do have your faults but at least you have pants on" i thought the yahtzee scenes were amazingly funny, and that was some serious sexual tension between the queen and eric ... very hot. i loved that her little boytoy was all, "um hello, it's your turn to make yahtzee!" hahaha nice e-ring too, but i definitely could have done without the cheesy dance scene.

i confess that my jeans are getting tighter every day and i can no longer even try to blame it on shrinking in the dryer. and i confess that i just ate a whole pint of ice cream anyway. so glad biggest loser is starting up again!
-
it all sounds good except for the sunday mistake already pointed out, and #5 says ten weeks instead of 12. thank you SO much for taking on hosting! i almost resorted to hosting it myself but am so glad someone else is doing it. i was afraid i wouldn't focus on my own weight loss if i hosted, and lord knows i need to focus. i just ate an entire pint of ice cream and my jeans are getting rather uncomfortable. i don't even want to know how much i've gained back since the wedding! oh also, it has never been mandatory for people to post before and after pics, just something people did if they were comfortable with it. i'm not sure i am. i would have to be fully clothed in which case you wouldn't be able to see the loss anyway. oh, if you haven't figured out from all that, i'm in! just need a new battery for my scale now!
