  1. nicole kidman : eyes wide shut
  2. also lindsey (not sure if it's been mentioned here since there aren't many legal dreams brides), the signing takes FOREVER lol! i was able to time it on the video and for ourselves to sign in triplicate and THUMBPRINT, and then your 4 witnesses to sign in triplicate ... it was literally 7.5 minutes of our approximately 15 minute ceremony. i had NO idea it would be like that, and would certainly have chosen at least one song to play during this time had i known! our family/friends looked sweaty and bored to tears, lol!

  15. way to keep it in the 'box, ladies! woot!
  16. oh no, kathy, that is so awful and i can't imagine what your cousins must be feeling. please give a round of huge hugs from your american sister. and cherish the time you have left with the little one. i know what's it like to hear there's a time limit on a loved one's life, but it's sooo much harder to take when it's a child who hasn't really even been given a chance. the most important thing is to let him know he's loved.
  17. LOVE your planning thread, loved your dress, love your internet shopping, love the mini cake (no one really ate ours ... total waste), and especially love that your planning thread is so similar in tone to mine ... must be because we both had after-the-fact planning threads, lol. procrastinators unite! and yay for lincoln and lori of moments that matter ... your pics are amazing!
  18. for abbie! i know she's insanely busy and i'm so happy for her!! i just wanted to make sure i didn't miss it!
  19. when do we start voting? i don't see the poll yet ... i didn't miss it, did i?!?
  20. yes ladies, this thread is def the best! and if you'd like to thank the woman who started this thread for us chunky chicks (as well as many other great threads), you should vote for ~*Lisa*~ as bdw's bride-to-be MotM (member of the month)! i already nominated her ... just waiting for them to start the voting poll ... don't forget to look for it and vote when they do! to the new girls in this thread! i agree, dress shopping was a challenge because of limited selection in your size. however, you might be able to try on some smaller-than-your-usual-size dresses if they have corset backs, bc they can open them up a bit to accommodate you. my fave part of dress shopping was my MOH with her foot in my back tugging on the laces trying to get size 14 dresses to fit my size 20 bod, lol! she was soooo determined! "we WILL make this fit!" haha and those dresses all looked so awesome bc it was like i had to remove a couple ribs and not breathe to make them fit ... tiny waist tho! haha
  21. lindsey, for not using the resort photographer, claudia would only offer me the gazebo drapery OR an extended video. i took the extended video. i was a little upset that i couldn't get her to budge on the sound system for the ceremony or something like that instead, especially since i knew that the other WC (gaby, at that time) had offered it to other bdw brides as an exchange. i was never told any monetary amount for a "credit." you will not get the full amount of what the a la carte price would be as your exchange amount anyway, because they will tell you that you get a deal when it is part of the package.
  22. amazing amazing amazing and you looked so gorgeous and happy!
  23. your wedding is amazing and makes me want a do-over! so awesome! congrats again and again!
