ok where are you ladies getting cute clothes these days? i feel like i don't like anything i'm seeing anywhere anymore. i mean, first of all, skinny jeans? hello, if i am shopping for plus-sizes then "skinny jeans" are probably not for me! in fact, any tapered-leg kind of pant is going to make me look like tweedledum, so just stop bombarding me with them (not you ladies, the fashion industry)! also, stop putting that tight band around the bottom of shirts. that is the widest part of my body, so clearly i don't want my clothes to be tight there, k thanks.

LOL i'm sooooo sorry lisa but this whole post made me laugh! the only thing that i think is really *really* meddling is asking how much money a gift was for. my own mother did all the same things!!! did so and so give you a card? how much money was in it? did you send a thank you? you better send a thank you! i was like GET OFF MY BACK, WOMAN!! NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS!! and my mom made FULL ALBUMS of like every picture she had from our wedding for both my sisters! and of course got every pro photo printed for herself as well, including framed 8x10s. seriously? guess i won't be making them a photobook as planned? that's what i get for putting them up on our share site. pffft!

church weddings have many qualities that can make them better/more meaningful for people who are religious ... however i don't think they are "more romantic" at all. i am surprised (given what you've told us) that you actually went through with a beach wedding without then having the marriage blessed thru a religious ceremony in a church. religion seems pretty important to you both. for instance, catholics wouldn't even consider you to be married (which imo is a little silly ... i am not religious, but definitely believe that whomever you call "god" is present for all that you do when you follow your heart, whether it happens to be in a church or not)! i don't know how long you've been married, but if it's important to your husband then maybe you should consider renewing your vows for your 5 or 10 year anniversary.

um what? 27 days before the wedding she backed out of her financial promise? (i say "promise" instead of "responsibility" bc i don't believe it's anyone's parents' responsibility to pay for weddings ... but once they've said they *would*?) terrible to back out now ... and she's probably known for awhile that it was going to be a hardship to cover the expenses ... a heads up a little earlier might have been nice! of course i say this without knowing the circumstances ... has there been a sudden job loss or major expense? yeah maybe you should repost this under the venting section! LOL!

leanne, yes T does wii fit with me, and yes, there are a bunch of things he's better at than i am. and he is totally a competitive a-hole, lol! god forbid i ever have the number one slot on anything! if i ever beat him at anything he always wants to keep trying, but if he beats me, we're suddenly done with that game, lol. thankfully our miis are equally obese, haha!

yes, it's in the main pool. it's shaded and out of the sun, so it's a good place to spend a lot of time if you're trying to avoid tan-lines before the wedding, lol!

lol you dope! is hunger clouding your brain-function? hehe back on topic, sure i ate a ton for val-day but we also did a ton of wii fit over the weekend. i know the majority of you girls work out all hardcore on a daily basis, so this will sound ridic to you, but i was surprised to find that i am capable of running a mile. i honestly thought i would likely die long before the one mile mark, but i ran a 1.5 miles and not only lived but prob could have gone on longer. of course when i say "ran" i am using that word very loosely. it's more like a light jog, haha. small victories.

you can't do too much personalization in the legal ceremony. i was told i could write my own vows (but didn't have to) and that i could add a sand ceremony or reading, but that i would have to provide someone else to read that because the judge would not. at dreams cancun, all ceremonies are in english. i think other areas, as well as the judges specific resorts contract with, are different. most parts of mexico require the legal ceremony to be in spanish. your marriage application and actual certificate will be in spanish (so you'll be blindly signing your life away ... we were certain we had sold our kidneys or something, lol). michelle, i'm sorry to report that our wedding DID have that whole bit about marriage being the only way to found a family. we giggled through most of it. especially the part about giving your children food. i mean, seriously? food? "food and love." i was just thankful that the ceremony wasn't extremely religious. oh and yes, there was a ring exchange that the judge read, and had you repeat a phrase as you exchanged. i'd have to watch the video again to see what exactly it said, but it wasn't much beyond the usual, "i give you this ring as a token of my love."

hahahaha khomac, my photog did the same thing and when i got the pics back i LOL'd at the result ... i look either drunk or sleepy ... maybe both?!
