  1. i picked up a bunch of these myself last night ... some guy behind me in line was getting testy waiting for the cashier to scan each bag separately (why she didn't just count them and multiply, i'll never know) and he goes, "what ARE those anyway?" ... i'm like, "duh ... beachbags!" i mean, isn't it obvious what they are? sure, he might have meant what was i using them all for, but he sounded like an idiot and i was feeling b*tchy, haha. still don't know if i will actually use them ... my wedding is pretty far off yet and i'll probably change my mind a billion times before then!

We have about 40 people coming so it would need to be a pretty spacious place. Any ideas? that's a good idea, since i'm not paying for a welcome dinner either ... it's an all-inclusive! but i would like to gather everyone for a toast and to give out their welcome bags (no way i'm paying for them to deliver them ... we don't have *that* many to make it worth it. plus it's probably a little more special to hand them out personally, no?
  3. haha i just realized my stupid driver's license will of course expire before i receive my marriage certificate, so i'll end up having to get a new one TWICE! that stinks!

  7. damn! those are great, and are what i had in mind for a DIY project before i found (and bought) really cheap books YESTERDAY (52 cents each, including shipping). sure, i got a bargain, but these are cuter, probably more useful, and FREE!

  9. I love that you didn't print your names and wedding date on them ... lots of people personalize all their stuff with their names and date, which makes the stuff basically useless for their guests later, ya know? These will be great souvenirs and reminders of the good time they had! They look fantastic!

OMG seriously? 25-cent flipflops? that's outrageously cheap! I want those $1 mugs! And I wish I had some sort of clue how many guests I was having!
  11. since it's vegas, some gambling-related stuff? a deck of cards, dice, or even a scratch-off lottery ticket? oooh or how about something as simple as a one-dollar chip for whichever casino you're at? that said, they are totally great as-is! i love them! are they the bags from target? i am wishing i had taken the initiative to start buying that stuff when i saw them about a month ago!

  13. Someone was looking for the Spanish for Dummies books in another thread, which made me start searching. I just found these on ebay (and bought a lot myself!) ... would be great for OOT bags for any Mexico wedding ... it's a lot of 24 Webster's pocket-size English/Spanish translation books for only $8.00 (there are 8 lots of 24 left)! Cost per item boils down to only 33 cents each! Even with shipping added ($4.5, they are still cheap cheap cheap ... 52 cents a piece! I thought it was a great bargain find, so I thought I'd share: Lot 24 Websters Pocket English/Spanish Translation book - eBay (item 230130344727 end time Aug-07-08 04:46:30 PDT)
  14. i didn't find spanish for dummies, but i found this on ebay: Lot 24 Websters Pocket English/Spanish Translation book - eBay (item 230130344727 end time Aug-07-08 04:46:30 PDT) it's a lot of 24 websters pocket eng/span dictionaries for $8.00!

  20. someone else got missed. i guess quoting the last post doesn't always work as some people are posting at almost the same time? fixed below (lynds, you're back in now). Maybe just try on a bunch of different styles regardless of what you heard is the best because you never know! I personally always wanted a v-neck dress, but ended up loving a strapless one. You'll know which is "the one" when you put it on. Don't worry, I'm sure you'll look amazing in whatever you pick I have to agree with this ... I don't want strapless. I want an off-the-shoulder/portrait neckline to to widen my shoulders (i have none!) and hopefully balance my hips (majorly pear shaped here!). But who knows? I could end up falling in love with a particular strapless dress and just adding straps to it (or not!). Definitely try on all different styles, as you may be surprised at what you like or look radiant in!
