i did pretty damn well, especially considering "time o' the month" started two days ago! down 4.9 lbs the first week (or 1.9%)! good thing tho, since vacation week (aka week of birthdays) starts saturday! i'm doomed!

i have been wanting to wear a red crinoline and red shoes under my gown ... i'm a lot lazier than you tho ... i found a place i could just BUY the red crinoline!

can someone remind me again the formula for figuring out the percentage lost? i am SO not a math person (thank god my fiance is)!

i like it! will it black & white like the pic or all black? if black and white, it's very similar to the dress i wore as MOH in my niece's wedding (she's matron of honor in mine)! i have looked a bit at bridesmaid dresses online too ... lots of them come in white/ivory. my niece wanted a red wedding dress and i thought my mom was going to have a heart attack when she told her (she eventually went with white). so to ensure my mother's good health, i'm going traditional too (but thinking of a red crinoline and red shoes underneath)! now what's this bit about snakes?

i think the rius in jamaica are actually cheaper than both dreams and moon palace ... at least they were last time i checked (which was months ago, so i could be wrong). also it could have a lot to do with the time of year you're looking at (totally different season than i was looking in). moon palace is great and they do a horse-drawn carriage for the bride, but we eventually decided on dreams. good luck with your decision-making! it was definitely the hardest thing so far!

LOVE the one that's red in the picture! now i want that for my girls (they are definitely going to be wearing some shade of red or orange!) i agree with whoever said that if *they* were asked to be a BM they'd rather wear the melissa sweet dresses. everyone always says you could wear a BM dress again but the truth of the matter is that satin and taffeta will always *scream* bridesmaid (or prom) to me, no matter what the length or how cute the dress is. the melissa sweet dresses are flowy and natural looking and seem like something i might actually buy for myself to attend a wedding!
