  1. i think you will love these! i got a bunch of postcards from vista print and i just LOVE them....i had to order more free stuff! haha i think im a vistaprint junkie now!
  2. Thanks everyone!!! I feel so much better knowing that the dresses actually do come in 3 months or even less!!! I appreciate all the responses!
  3. I just found my perfect dress @ Davids (style V9458- sorry i couldnt post it) but I have a bit of a dilemma..... I am super short- 5'1ish....and I do not want to have the train on the dress (and i dont want to bustle it either). I can order the dress in petite but it will come with the train......so i will have to get that taken off...annnd even though they take 4 inches off everywhere in the dress, i may even still need to get the dress shortened more because i am planning on going barefoot... OR I can order the dress regular WITHOUT the train.....so i would just have to get it shortened, but then with my being shorter than everyone else, the dress because its regular all around may look out of proportion... i tried the dress on in regular and i personally LOVED how it fit, and how it looked...but the saleslady said that its suppose to fit lower and she said it would look better proportioned with my size if i got the petite.. my wedding is april 21st 2009......they said that i can order the dress in petite with a train and it will come in 3 months........has anyone gotten their dress from david bridal this quickly she also said that if it didnt fit right and i wanted to go to the regular i can order it again regular without the train...but then it would be another 3 months, IF it actually does come in on time..... What would you ladies do?! Go with the petite? Go with the regular? I am showing my mom who lives out of town the dress in a couple of weeks (thats the earliest we could get together and have an appt.) so i will be ordering it mid July....i would be ok if i HAD to order the dress a second time around, but thats only IF the dress actually does come in the 3 months they said it would... Help!

  5. For the pictures that Michael took, did you have to tell him the certain poses that you wanted? I really like your pics J&M that Michael took, but just curious if he suggested those poses or if you did yourselves
  6. Allyson, I am getting married on a Tuesday and arriving on a Saturday. I stressed out about this too, but they allow it...when you fill out your online application thing, just type in that you will be arriving 2 days before and then just write in the comment box that really you are arriving on the saturday....
  7. We sent out STD magnets and a letter describing what we are doing, who are travel agent is, where they can contact her, prices, etc....we sent these out to everyone- even those that we knew wouldnt come.....we sent these out about 1 year before our wedding.. we will be sending out AHR invites to everyone as well in the new year.
  8. Thanks for putting the Canadian link! Im heading dress shopping in the states tomorrow, maybe I can pop in and use that coupon in the states...and when I come back home I can definately use it again in Canada. So much to buy still and I cant get enough of Michaels
  9. so nice..im gonna have to copy your inspiration! i have a folder of hair ideas..i just havent gotten down to picking on yet! that looks awesome on you..good pic
  10. Ya I got them, I LOVE LOVE LOVE them! Totally cute, pop up...Im having issues posting pics of them..so Im going to have to have an attachment for them..... One pic is of the pop-up invite itself...i am holding the aqua paper in place, but there is stuff there for when you have the actual wording printed out on it then you can put them in place.. the other pic is of the outside of invite....i just love this colour! and then in the same aqua colour is the request cards..... the kit of 24 invites comes with 24 pop up invites, 24 envelopes for invites, 24 request cards, 24 envelopes for request cards, and 3 testing paper for each the request cards and invites.... sorry for making it an attachment!
  11. I just bought Martha Stewart's Seaside Collection invitations. They were 40% off....so I think it came out to be $23.99 for 24 invites....they are super cute- they are pop up....if i was going to have assigned seating for my AHR I would for sure get the place cards.....thanks for telling me about your placecards..I figured if she has placecards, she has to have invites to match!
  12. I just bought the bags today in Canada...They were 2.29, but I still think thats great because I love the size and different colours..anywhere else I would have to pay shipping and duty, or other bags i find are just too big and makes me look like Im not filling them enough!
  13. They look awesome! I am going to order from them as well...I have searched the website and found my mugs...I want to order now but the FH keeps insisting I wait a bit since our wedding isnt till April 2009. I just want to get things done and over with so I can check them off my list!
  14. Even though your experiences with Chandlyn werent the greatest, it sounds like your wedding was still a hit and everything turned out awesome! I cant wait for the pics! Congrats and welcome home!
  15. Chicklet, you can book your reception dinner location without knowing an exact number of guests......if you know you want Mammee and are definately going to have under 50 then you can for sure book! Or vice versa....I would get on booking asap! When I first tried to book for our after dinner reception for April 2009, the location we wanted was already booked!! I bet January is just like April, it seems that those two months are quickly filling up with brides and their guests!
  16. I dont think I have seen any TTD photo shoots done by any of the Riu Photographers (Michael or Christopher). I may have just over looked the pics and never realized they have taken the pics, or there just hasnt been any!! Do you know if Michael/Christopher are willing to do TTD photo shoots? And has anyone taken them off the Riu site to do the shoot (i have seen some photo shoots being done at a park/waterfall).. Has anyone had Michael/Christopher do a TTD shoot for them?
  17. I did the same as DanielleNDerek. We picked and booked a location this April and we sent out a STD magnet and letter to everyone. We will be sending out AHR invites in the new year as our wedding isnt until April 2009 and we will have a AHR probably the end of May 2009. I dont have a website for people to go to, and Im not sending out a reminder letter or something like that. The people we invited are close friends and family of ours that we talk to regularly so we figure we can do the reminding verbally!
  18. I know thru vista you can get rubber stamps right now for free.....but I dont know how well they work, and how well you will be able to emboss them.....
  19. UGH- just read this in the bestbridalprices.com forum for Maggie International orders: Maggie Sottero's Sales Policy States that we can not accept or fulfill any orders originating outside of the US. We must stick with their policy. All Maggie Sottero orders from us must be originated from the US. This means that all order must originate from the US and have a US credit card with a US address to the Credit Card. Also, All Maggie Sottero Orders must be shipped with in the US. We sorry for any inconvenience's. GRRRRRR......sorry, i just need to vent It took me sometime to actually decide to order online or not.....and I read all the bdw reviews about the website so I got excited.... not now!!!!
  20. Has any Canadians ordered from this site?! I am leaning towards getting my Maggie dress from here because it will save me tons of money........ I do know someone that lives in the states where I can get the dress shipped too and then I could get it from them but I dont know if its going to be a problem with having a credit card with a Canadian address and an American address that the dress is being shipped too. I think I recently read somewhere that the credit card has to have an American address just like the shipping address....
  21. not yet, but i will come April 21 2009...im going to have a poolside reception, not the dinner though.....and i will definately take tons of pics...your wedding is way before mine though!!!!!! we thought we would prefer to have a beach reception, but when we just got around to booking it we discovered that it was already booked, so that left us to think about other options......but after thinking about it, a lot of our guests are elder and already have trouble walking on the sand so i guess it worked out best that we couldnt have it on the beach!
  22. yep dollar store bag...bring those walmart bags back..they always take everything back- and where i live you dont necessarily need a rec. to go with it.....
  23. I just wrote this in another thread, but I also heard back from Chandlyn...for a poolside reception WITHOUT the dinner, its $15 per person and that includes setting up the tables with lights, candles, etc. and an open bar.....i think that a poolside would be really pretty all set up, and no bother about sandfleas!
