OOT Bag Stuff @ Dollarama

Alrighty, I went back to my Dollarama & they have a tun of the Lipsmackers left!! There are 3 in the package: Red Raspberry, Cotton Candy & Strawberry Banana. They are colouful (RR- purple w/hot pink lid, CC-blue w/light pink lid & SB- yellow with hot pink lid) & have tropical flowers printed on the wrappers! If anybody wants any just let me know & I can pick them up & send them to you. You just can't go wrong for the price! -
I haven't done anything huge or massively significant, but I always try to get involved with athletics which teach & support children. I've coached & volunteered for various soccer teams/clinics in my local area. It feels great to show the kids that everyone can get involved.

Whoohoo! My suggestion is to have a nick cocktail & dance around to some music that will help put you in the mood! Something cheesy like "Don't Cha" by the Pussycat Dolls always makes me feel pretty sexy when I dance to it (even if I look like a fool in reality!!!)

If the sister thing doesn't work, this might be your best option. Mom's can be HUGE PITA's, but I think she's just excited & trying to do something nice for you (even if it doesn't look very nice!... literally! lol) You might just have to suck it up & let her "surprise" you with the collage. It's obviously been made with love

Bit of abs too. Felt really great for once! WOW I just took Mats parents dog for a nice 30 minute walk along a nature trail! I've got some crazy energy today!

Our Dollarama is amazing!! I actually found some John Freida Radiant Red Shampoo & Conitioner for my friend! I bought the Blonde stuff at WalMart & it cost me $9.99 a bottle & I got hers for $1 a piece! Grrrr! lol Um, what other kinds of things are you looking for... when I go tonight I can have a peek for more specific things! -

Picked a place!! Riu Merengue
alex replied to saraece's topic in Destination Weddings in Dominican Republic
I know this isn't going to sound like a very reliable source to get a review from, but the lady does my waxing just went to the Riu Merengue & wouldn't stop talking about how great it was the entire time she was waxing me!! lol -
Wow, beautiful story!! I believe it because my parents dogs will bring you their 1 favourite toy when you're sick. Animals just know!! PS - this is the 2nd thing on BDW in about 5 minutes to make me cry!

Hey Canadian gals! I did a quick run to the Dollarama today & saw some cute stuff for OOT bags! They have their summer stuff in stock now so there were lots of fun water stuff like inflatable balls & footballs & stuff like that! Might be cool to add to the guys bags because it seems like they're harder to find things for!! They also had tropical Lipsmackers chapsticks in fruity flavours that were packages in 3's for $1. They even had hibiscus flowers on the wrappers so they were very topical looking! Oh, and I saw a really awesome wicker basket thing that could be for a flower girl or even just a young girl who was going to your wedding. It looks like the basket on the front of a bike almost, but it's squared & has handles & cute little flowers embriodered on the front. Very cute! Lastly they have some great tropical/beach stickers you could use for random DIY projects. Lots of flip flop & starfish shapes. Fun stuff!! Just thought I'd share all the great finds since I don't have my own wedding to plan yet!

So this pic may not be as hilarious as some of the ones already posted, but it always bring a smile to my face! This is Oscar, my parents cocker spaniel trying to get to me through the stairs! He couldn't figure out for the life of him how I had got to the basement through the tiny openings between the stairs!! lol All he had to do was turn right & go down the actual stairs...

Congrats!! Hope your day is beautiful!!

Maybe you can find a nice hall or another location to have it at, take out a 5k loan, and have the reception the way you want to have the reception. Allow them to attend as GUESTS not hosts and that should get the point across. This is your wedding, you only get one, so you should do it the way you want to. $5000 in the greater scheme of your life, as well as your pride, is not a big price to pay. You're not children who need to be taught a lesson, you're adults who were given an opportunity and a gift by them. The "gift" of helping with the AHR shouldn't come with limitations. Stand up for yourselves and don't let them do what they want. The party isn't for them, its not for their friends either, its for you and Kevin to be celebrated for coming together in marriage...and it should be done the way you want it to be done. If your FMIL wants to have a party of her own, then she can do that. I just read throught the whole thread and I'm fuming (so I can only imagine how you're feeling). I'm a pretty forward person though, and I don't really forgive easily, so obviously take my advice with a grain of salt because it might not be condusive to your personality. I just don't think that at this point anything good can come of continuing to have the party at her house. Either way she wins on this, and gets to treat you and Kevin like children. I would text her back and say "Words once spoken are hard to forget. They leave a lasting impression, and having them in black and white in emails isn't something that you can just take back with an apology". Then I would call around and see what venue would be open for the time and date that you have your guests arriving. Book it, move the vendors over, and send out a quick card to your guests informing them of the change. I think this will allow you to have the AHR of your dreams, without feeling guilty or pressured to cater to someone else's vision (namely your FMIL and FFIL), and it will show them that you're adults who can make your own decisions. Its not fair that your relationship with them is predicated on whether or not you adhere to their wishes. They should respect and understand you regardless. Maybe its them who need to be taught a lesson. BRAVO, Well said Ana!!!! Your words are EXACTLY what I've been thinking of to say this entire time, but I wasn't able to get it out right. You deserve to have the reception that YOU want!!! Stay strong!

Looks like everyone had a blast!!!!!! Great decorations too!! Your friend also did a wonderful job on the cake! I may want to eventually use it for inspiration!

I almost peed my pants in the tanning salon when I saw it & then Mat tried to make me buy it just because he thought it was funny... I'd suggest the stand up next time also. You're not going to get any funky lines in there, plus you need less time! Although if you get stuck in one without things to hold onto you'll be stuck holding your arms up on your own & that gets pretty painfull after a long standup session. I actually had to skip the gym once because they hurt so much!
