  1. Oh I forgot to ask you. Is Sebastian's Penetrate conditioner something that can be picked up at any store or do you have to get it from your salon? I'm always on the hunt for good conditioner.

  4. Hi, I was wondering how far away is Playa Del Carmen's 5th Ave. from DT? I haven't decided on a resort yet but wanted to know if the resort offered transportation or would I have to take a taxi to get to 5th Ave. Thanks
  5. I am also looking for hair flowers. Thank you for sharing the information

Wow some of the things you are doing are expensive! There are a few things that you can cut back on. For the tuxedo/suit I think you are better off buying it instead of renting. If you have a K&G Warehouse or Burlington Coat Factory they have great deals on suits. I've seen a deal for K&G Warehouse buy 2 suits for $150 dollars. For the centerpieces you can make those yourself. That's expensive since its only going to be 5 guests including yourself. For the welcome basket, check out places that have great deals for tote bags and stuff some goodies in it. You can include things that they will most likely use like a beach towel, sunblock, immodium AD, Tylenol, hand sanitizer, snacks, and koozies? If I think of anything else I will let you know. So far, those are the things that I think you can cut back on. Good luck!
  7. The best way to start off is check with a travel agency. They can give you a few resort recommendations based on your budget and interests. Check out Iberostar Paraiso Lindo, Dreams, and RIU Yucatan. They are kid friendly. I believe Iberostar has more things to do for children. RIU Yucatan is close by to 5th Ave (Playa Del Carmen) for night life and shopping. Good luck!
  8. Oh there was another time when I spent the night at my friend's apartment again. I had taken a nap in her bedroom and all of a sudden my body felt paralyzed and I just layed there feeling hot and cold flashes. Also, my friend's best friend spent the night and she too had the same experience as I did. On another time, I was out with my friend getting food at Wendy's. Her husband called freaking out. He said he was meditating in their spare room listening to chant music to help him relax. He looked up at the mirror and saw a white face staring at him. He quickly left the room into their bedroom to make the call. It's crazy how spirits can communicate.
  9. Ooooh that's creepy. I had stayed at a friend's apartment years ago. I slept in the living room and at around 5am the tv turns on with high volume. The funny thing was that it was on mtv and a tupac video was on. I was no where near the remote. It really freaked me out. My friend tells me that spirits do pass through her apartment ocassionally. She and her husband have experienced paranormal activity.

    Hi!

    Hi, welcome to the forum!
  11. The best thing to do is check with the churches in Santo Domingo. Ask them was the requirement is in order to be married at the church. I'm not sure how strict the churches are in DR. They may allow for one person to be catholic and the other one non-catholic to get married there. If they say its okay tell your local church your plans and most likely you can take the pre-cana classes there. Once you complete the class your church can send the documents to the church in Santo Domingo. Good luck!
  12. I have the same problem. I am going to do a deep conditioning treatment once a week. Try Queen Helene Cholesterol cream and leave on for 15 minutes then wash out. You can get that anywhere. The hairdresser recommended Keracare products to help hydrate the hair from breaking. She used the oil moisturizer w/Jojoba oil.
  13. Hi, check out facebook's website. There is a group called "Majestic Colonial DR" and they have wedding pics there. I'm not sure if it included the Majestic Ellegance but it's worth a shot. Good luck!
  14. Congrats! I just saw that episode a few nights ago. I was in tears and happy that he made your dream come true. Yeah he was nervous big time throughout the show. You looked gorgeous and it was a beautiful wedding. Congrats to you both!
  15. Welcome to the board! and congrats on the engagement
  16. Hi, I'm in West Haven, CT. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one
  17. Hi, I was wondering if anybody is getting married at this resort? I had emailed them a couple of weeks ago to get pricing on wedding packages. I haven't heard anything back. Also, have you been to any of their resorts in DR? I would love to hear any reviews about them. Thank you
  18. Thank you for your help I was getting frusterated but now I feel better
  19. Marrocon Oil? Ive never heard of that? I definitely want to try it. Where can I find this?
  20. You should do a deep conditioning treatment one a week. I have the same problem with dry hair. Try Tresseme's moisture shampoo and the conditioner. Also, put a leave-in-conditioner when you get out fo the shower onto damp hair. If you are washing your hair every day, you may be stripping the natural hair oil from it. Did your hair stylist recommend a good product for your dry hair?
  21. I emailed this place twice and haven't heard anything back. Do you mind sharing any other info you have? I don't really want to do have a reception in a hotel because they charge so much. Would you also have any restarant recommendations as well? I would greatly appreciate it!
  22. Hi, I was wondering if you heard any reviews of this restaurant? I was looking at their website and this place looks great for a laid back wedding reception. Thank you
  23. I was just looking into MP resorts. I had no idea they were going to change their 2010 packages...I'm hoping its with more options
