She suggested a string quarter for the ceremony with a soprano singing the ava maria, a guitar duo for the cocktail hour, a DJ for the ceremony and a bomba/plena band for 45 minutes as a surprise for the ceremony. Sounds good to me. Samantha-so nice to hear from you. The dress was one of the ones I emailed you. The Anne Barge one. I created my own save the date cards on zazzle.com. I used a photo of the hotel as suggested by others on this forum as the cover of the save the date card. You can make your own stamps, etc.. on zazzle. It's a good site. Evie, your wedding is going to be gorgeous! I was wondering if El Convento can do really small weddings (10 to 25 guests) and are they expensive? I was looking into PR previously and wanted to use a venue on Isla Verde side. My DH has been calling and emailing with no response back. I was so discouraged that I gave up on that venue. Would you mind sharing any info you have for El Convento. Are you getting married at the church across the street? It's a beautiful place. Thank you
  2. Hi ladies! I was wondering are you going to be doing any shopping outside of the resort? I was reading that PDC's 5th Ave. is about 45 minutes away from DT. If you are going to do any shopping there are you going to rent a car, taxi, or take a shuttle? I really do like this resort but I'm having a tough time deciding if I want to stay here. I know it's farther away which can be good or bad. I like that it is secluded but how secluded is it? Also, I was reading SunBrides's review on DT and mentioned that the beach was terrible. I love the beach...is it really that bad? I see that you can get married in the chapel or on the beach...is there a charge to have the ceremony on the beach since they don't have a gazebo? Maybe I missed this conversation but is it true that you can use an outside photographer? I remember hearing earlier this year that Dreams wasn't allowing outside photographers. Two more questions I promise. Are the in-house photographers any good? and is it true that DT offers more thand DPA? Thanks for your help
  3. I'm so sorry to hear about the loss I think it should be up to your FI. If he decides to have a groomsman...I think a low key memorial will be great. Maybe have one of the bridesmaid and groomsman walk down and place a flower on the chair. The couple will be there in spirit. Again, my condolences to the family of the couple

Travel and Tours Experts ¡¡ Hi, do you know how much he charges for a shuttle to Playa Del Carmen and Tulum area? I didn't see a price on his site. Thanks

  14. Hi, I was checking their Cancun Valet's website and have a question. It says that it's not per person but by vehicle. So, if I was traveling with my husband and daughter...it still be the same price for all three of us right? It had confused me a bit. Thanks

  16. Hey I just saw airfare to Cancun for $330 dollars! I signed up on this website to alert me with airfare deals...it's called airfarewatchdog.com I think that the airfare prices will go down. I would wait a bit to see what kind of fares you can get. Good luck!
  17. I'm not sure if you wanted to do some shopping but you can check out Dreams Tulum. It's about 30 minutes away from Playa del carmen. This resort is kid friendly as well.
