  1. well if you offered to change your dress and she was still saying she would return hers, I also think that maybe she is having second thoughts on whether the dress was right for her in the first place...or, she doesn't know how to deal with the situation and doesn't want to come across as a bridezilla! You know your friend best, would she normally just come right out with it? Being honest, I don't mind people doing alot the same as me, but if one of my friends chose either the same location, or same dress as me, i'd have a problem with it...but thats me personally. But again, if i didn't say anything and just kept it to myself, then it would be my own fault that i didn't address the situation. xxx
  2. We plan on booking the wedding in january and sending the STD's out in february. We are including an RSVP tear off for people to let us know if they are intending on coming...and are putting down that we need these back by the end of March. And then going to book the holiday for everyone at the one time in the TA's in April! xxxxx
  3. Hey We are May hopefully 28th! I'm going to go with the free wedding package and add things on...as for the guests...because we are flying from the UK, everyone is treating it as their summer holiday. Yes, it defo is more expensive than what alot of them would probably book for - I know we are normally the ones who wait for last minute bargains! But I think there are many selling points for Moon Palace - one being the amount of restaurants they have..think its 13....i know from personal experience that you can sometimes get bored of the food served at AL resorts but no way could anyone get bored with that about of choice! Also, the "Palace Passport"...i know alot of our guests want to see Mexico, so we have to take into account that going to the ruins, and many other excursions are included in the holiday price because of the palace passport. Also, the booze they use is branded...which i've never had at an AL before. Taking all that into account, I don't think MP are unreasonable with their prices. I can't wait to see what the new options are for 2010 then...wooo xxxx
  4. aawww your pictures a great - you and your hubby look like the perfect couple - big congrats!
  5. ooh thats a tricky one...especially if her wedding is after yours - no way is she gonna wanna be seen in the same dress you wore 2 months before hand - was she upset or did she say anything to you about it?
  6. phhewww...thanks! somewhere over the rainbow should do us then!!
  7. I know this is going to sound like the most ridiculous question EVER...but typically...how long does it normally take for everyone to walk down the aisle?! I realise it will depend on how many are in the wedding party - I've only got one flower girl, one bridesmaid and myself...I'm also having somewhere over the rainbow...and was thinking it would last for all 3 of us...am I going to need another song do you think?
  8. as soon as we start paying deposits for things i'm going to get wedding insurance organised. I'd kick myself if something fell threw and the costs could have been recovered for less than £30!
  9. Hey Firstly...I need to warn you that I am most probably going to be biased..i'm a mp bride! But with the communication problems, I'd say from personal experience, this seems to be normal if you are enquiring about a wedding far in the future - mp were the same - murder to get a response out of! So I wouldn't let that affect your choice UNLESS you hear from brides who get married there next year it happens to them too! I think you would be best doing lots of research on Dreams and the palace resorts you like, without paying attention to money...and work out which YOU AND H2B like best for the facilities they offer...put them in numerical order...then work out which one nearest the number one spot you can afford most. Over in the UK, when I first started looking into MP, it was coming under a 4 star in the TA's...now its coming under a 5 star...which is great telling ppl we are getting married at a 5 star hotel...but subsequently prices have increased quite a lot since the start of the year...but its the resort we have fallen in love with, so needs must. hope this helps a bit!
  10. aww waw your pictures are great - the colours in them are soo vibrant...your soo lovely girl!
